Clean place...The food was good..But it takes a while to get it cooked i guess...Good customer service...Good sound...Friendly staff...Managers everywhere making sure every customer happy...

My first Movie theater experience this year was at CityPlex 12 Newark. I went for the 11am movie viewing. The cost was only $6.50 for the early show.They do accept credit cards, just be sure to have your ID. The crowd at this time of the morning was definitely a mature audience.There is plenty of parking and the bus stop is right in front of the venue. The lobby area is spacious with a few tables & chairs. They have a game room & a photo machine. The concession stand serves the typical movie theater stuff and the bathroom was clean.I really enjoyed my visit there and plan on returning soon!

Still a great deal and a pleasant place to see a movie.I appreciate going to the matinee.The price is right and the crowds are smaller, not to mention I still have the rest of the day to do other things.

One hand is ok, the movie was good, but another hand is not ok, service was not really welcome the customers. I am kind of easy person but it make me fell not combination with that place, we went there five of us and nobody in that theater except employees there,

Went to go see Sonic pretty good movie its a shame I really wanted to go see the invisible Man here but Im pretty sure theyre not allowing anybody in movie theaters anymore

The movie has good food but be prepared to pay for the costly food but the food is impressive

I remember when this was a Loews and then a Newark Screens!. This place is bigger, cleaner, and looks better. Also, the theater has comfortable seating

Went to see Just Mercy with my Son. Best movie of the year. I that it stays in Theatres for Black History month. A must see.

Watched the new movie, Just Mercy, and loved it. However, our theater screen had long tears in them. Not distracting usually, but they would mess up any scene that was well lit with a light background. Popcorn couldve tasted better tbh. These dont seem like big deals in retrospect, but a movie theaters job is too simple to mess up that bad imo. Maintenance should be stellar

Nice movie theater but sometimes the workers are always chatting amongst themselves and not serving costumers effectively. One girl wanted to go home early and when the manage remind her of her schedule shift. She got so upset she gave me the wrong order after i paid.

The theaters arent bad and the screens are nice and large, but the stadium seating is simply lacking. They are very uncomfortable and ruined a large part of the experience in my opinion. But the tickets are $6.50 on Tuesdays, so it not all bad...

They have really good movies and good timing but they have a small arcade.

Ghetto.....the atmosphere is so cold no employees not one from the ticket counter to the concession stand to the clerk checking your ticket to directing you to the theater. No one greets, smiles, if you ask a question it pisses them off. I noticed the manager at the concession stand n he too was not pleasant. Look I know this is located in a predominantly urban area but you need to do better. Makes me not ever ever ever want to spend my dollars. I rather drive to a better neighborhood just for better service.

It showed the movie but was a bit lacking in service. Still good to support local?

This theater is in a great central location with a large parking lot. The staff is courteous and efficient. The lobby area is clean and there were tables & chairs provided, the concession stand (the combos are the best money saving choice) and a small open game room area. A separate party room is provided inside the theater area. The restroom, although clean smelled like it could use a good scrubbing with disinfectant. Every Tuesday, movies are $6.50.

Candy and snacks are way too expensive. But clean, nice staff, great movie selections. Very comfortable seats. Will be back next week for John Wick!

The movie theater is in the heart of the Central Ward in Newark. Clean and safe. I love it.

The movie was excellent (Just Mercy - 9:30 a.m.), however, the condition of the Theater was horrific. There was popcorn, drink spills, etc. left over from the previous day. The owner/manager didnt seem to be concerned about the condition of the Theater. Considering this was a Fundraising Event it was very embarrassing, and as a patron and resident of the Community I was VERY EMBARRASSED

The only 2 advantages of this theatre are inexpensive tickets & it sits across from Applebees. The concession is highly over priced and if they moved any slower they would be moving backwards. You can have your pick of seating since the place is usually empty. Moral of the story: Enjoy a movie before 1pm & save your money for Applebees 2 for 20 afterwards.

Every time I go this place is barely packed and I dont know why... The movies are reasonably priced. Popcorn/snacks reasonably priced. And they offer free refills I see no reason not to go. And the Shaq theater has the comfiest seats! Try going there at least once youll come back...promise.

The theatre is very nice and I have enjoyed the shows, but Management is resistant to hosting community events.

Actually a lot nicer than I expected. Very clean, friendly staff, comfortable seats and the rows are high so you dont see the back of peoples head in front. Concession prices are high, but a nice ceneplex.

The movie theater was located near our hotel. We enjoyed a matinee show. The theater host other events such as church services and an autism awareness table was providing information to guest as well.

1/2 price all day Tues. Comfortable seats are a little too low to the fl n hard to get out.Dont like that they have one line to purchase tickets and buy food, candy, popcorn thereby holding up the line n missing the beginning of your movie.

$6.50 on all movies, only on Wednesdays. Went for the first time to see the John Wick movie and have to say apart from the sound being on the louder side, a good theater.P.s the seats(leather or of similar material) are adjustable and comfy

Sunday 10-27-19 me and my 3 kids ages 12,11,8 went in the rain and got 4 tickets for joker and got the large popcorn with large drink which is the best because u can refill as much as you want and a large icee mixed cherry and blueberry and the $10.00 box for $55.00 before 12PM but then I got another movie which was the magnificent 4 tickets for 40.00 without anything just the tickets u could tell the difference but worth it they have a little arcade game and nice sitting area big parking they also do birthday parties and events my kids are In boys scouts and they did an event their just visit their website or call. Also they have a Variety of Menu and prices and deals and discounts .

Ive been supporting this community theater for years now. Always clean. Very respectful, young staff...usually. Limited concessions menu, but the popcorn is always fresh. Highly recommended!

Ok place to just go see a movie. The theater is sort of uncomfortable not enough room to really comfortable. And the food is kind of nasty, not worth the prices. I got chicken tenders that tasted like mystery meat, and the curly fries were hard.

Pretty decent per went Wednesday afternoon. Concession prices from standard to pricey. 1/2 of the water fountains inoperable & the seats quality a step down from other cinemas but enjoyable nonetheless. Service adequate to good.

I love the vibe cause everyone is in their movie mode.Since its opening Im a regular face coming there to get my movie on! Also to increase sales how about turkey hot dogs,not everyone eats beef.A more healthy food selection to show ones concern for the peoples general health.

Movie theater is directly in Newark. Convenient to walk, park or take . Prices are fairly high, no kid/student or matinee pricing. Also the showtimes listed online were incorrect. We ended up going to a different theater.

Tickets were a bit better priced than other theaters, especially if you go in the morning. Theater was clean, had a small arcade. Didnt get food or drinks, so I cant comment on those. Just a good place to watch a movie.

Located in an upcoming part of Newark, NJ. Theater is new, clean and comfortable. Both times I went with a large group. Have yet to experience it for myself. Movie tickets are $6.50 but you will pay almost double for popcorn. I recommend this for small groups. There are good places to eat nearby. This is still Newark...

Place is ALWAYS empty. No customers, very few employees. That being said, those few employees keep the place clean and running. Go see a movie opening night here, good chance youll be the only ones in the theater.

I guess I had some reservations about going there because of the number of teens headed inside, but my movie had already been out for weeks so the room wasnt packed. My experience wasnt bad. I would go there again.

I just came from the movies didn’t see nothing because they check bags now and im not letting someone do that if I gotta throw away my snacks plus it’s an invasion of privacy. I’ll stick to the one I always go to in West Orange amc theatre, never going to City Plex in Newark again . I paid for the movie not someone to invade my privacy and if you worried about weapons so much put some scanners in there like the airport

It takes to long to get a bag of popcorn, I missed 20 minutes of a movie because of how slow there counter staff moves. Then they had a nerve to be upset when I complained about the slow service.

This place is ridiculous. I am new to the area and I expected to be treated with courtesy after one of their employees made a mistake with ticketing. Instead I had to pay extra money for my family to see a movie that we had already paid for. All Im saying is that whoever handles training for customer service in this county sucks at their job.

Very convenient, clean etc., But they need to have more than two people selling tickets at admission booth. Especially during a big movie premier!!!

Google is wrong according to workers at this Theater. Google Showtimes said 2:00pm. I get there movie started at 1:50pm. Was counting on 10 minutes of previews arrived at 2:10ish. Movie was already showing. If you plan to view a movie here arrive 10 minutes early. Slow staff and short staffed during the daytime showings. Trying to support our community.

Its a beautiful place to visit, it has nice picture screens and its easy to get to.

Not crowded.. Watch movie, get some quick snack. And be comfortable. I went on Sunday afternoon. I usually gone to Jersey Gardens super crowded.. wait for snacks.. This place is an option.

I really enjoy this theater, I normally go every other week. Theaters are clean, staff is extremely friendly.My one qualm is really management. The attention to detail is not there. Someone had to be told to move the proper lense for the 3-D movie. The first ten minutes were ruined, and someone had to get on a ladder in theater while the movie was playing to move the correct lense into place. This is the third time this has happened in my experience. There was a problem with the soda machine. I have had the soda machine not put out the proper CO2 multiple visits. The promotional cup for the movie was not there (we saw captain marvel). The lovely person behind the counter said they normally get them 2 weeks after the movie opens.It is these attention to details that would make it 5 stars.

Its an ok movie theater.... The concession stand needs to be updated....more food options..... Also... They have gnats....We were there for a Play.... I was w/ a vendor for the event.... There were a lot of gnats flying around in the hallway....The only plus to this theater is the staff, they were nice.... And helpful... The popcorn was good, too...

The popcorn is excellent but, organization of staff is awful. They had me going to the food counter to purchase tickets. The counter girl let her freind’s cut in line. The funny thing the manager was right there.

Great attending staff, very helpful and polite. Been coming to this theatre since 1994. I Just wish the management was nicer to young staff members (particularly those of colour). Attending staff seemed over worked with low numbers and excessive work load this evening.

I go on week days. Hardly anyone else in the theater. No one on the cell phones or standing up in front of me. A great way to SEE a movie!!!

Its a pretty cool movie theater, snacks are expensive like always, but the seats are good, theaters are good, and it is a great place to watch movies. And sometimes they have events with superheroes which are really cool.

My convient spot to catch at matinee with my family...nice big theater and very clean..they really are keeping the place looking good..no complaints what so ever..and they also have every Tuesdays $6.50 for movies all day Tuesdays...I love that
