The pool got shrunken to only a quarter of entire size when we got there. There were clearly many more people showing up when weather was so hot. Park ranger’s explanation was that swimmers could drown even In water shallower than one foot when not enough lifeguards present. I was forced to leave because I argued with them about their bathtubbing the pool with following: When you want to die in the water, no matter how small and how shallow others make the pool to be, you could still kill yourself in there.

Been coming here as a kid and now I bring my own babies here. Clean and safe only thing is they kick everyone out when big pool teenagers act up...wish they would do a hard core ban and just kick the trouble making kids out of the pool for the summer... other than that beautiful and I love it! My kids call it their pool!

The employees at this pool go above and beyond for the guests attending the pool. It was very clean and well taken care of as well. I was having a really hard time with a grouchy toddler having a fit and multiple employees helped me out and made sure I was ok and my son was ok. They truly care and I’m a complete stranger as I have never been here before. Amazing people!

There are always friendly park employees there. The free swimming classes for children are charming. The pools are lovely and never crowded. The park area is spacious and lively. Bathrooms are the only inconvenience. But are there and well cleaned.

I enjoyed an art class here, and the staff and instructor were awesome

I took a circuit training class. Lots of fun and a great workout.

I love that the little kid/toddler pool is separate from the bigger kid/adult pool. They also have a playground. Very nice space.

It was cool there are a lot of children and teenagers here...2 pools one 2ft 6in the other is 3-4.5 ft ..pool is cleaned twice daily

Pro - Two large pools for children and adults, kept clean, handicap accessible, they have lounge chairs and benches with tables.Con - The locker room is a dump and theres only one little bench. There are outdoor lockers with partitions but no privacy. You use to be able to change in the bathroom stall but they dont allow that. The bathroom has eight stalls but they closed off half for no good reason.

Excellent park. Always maintained clean. Great place to bring your children or just to come by yourself and relax.

Just sit in the benches and let your kids loose. Make sure you bring them food because they build an appetite playing in the water. 2 pools. One for babies and one everyone else. I counted 10 lifeguards making sure everyone is safe. 3 in the baby pool.

Great place to swim! Free entry and warm water. Good playground. Situation for kids in diapers is extremely difficult though, there are no changing tables, no showers in locker room, womens restroom is long walk from pool, and only one total bench in all of the locker areas. I changed my 2 yr old in the sink in bathroom.

Pool is dirty. The gym is okay not enough equipments to use. But convenient for me not too far from home

I dont only live in the area Im also a seasonal worker in the summer time. The recenter is open year round many different activities also has a gym. Has basketball and handball court. Both pools are well maintained wadding pool is big so is the adult pool which is Olympic size. In the summer it has many activities like learn to swim for kids, senior splash, and laps for those who want to exercise. Well maintained. Very nice park year round.

This place isn’t safe for children. Some bad guys will rob our things. I won’t come back again

I really like this pool. Well maintain, safe and people are friendly, although some staff member need to return a friendly gesturelike good morning or good after and/ or simply hello. But in their defense they are some knuckle heads that have no clue how to treat people. Over all its great i always find Family & friends at Pitt.

Great long lap lanes at 50 meters, friendly staff, outdoor changing rooms, free sunscreen, and quick showers. What a resource!

At all times both pools and park area are maintained very clean. Sufficient lockers. Hassel to get to the restrooms, it should be a shorter cut to geto. Changing rooms do not have showers but there are sprinklers to wash yourself off. Great place!!

Spent a lot of time here with friends throughout high school. The trees at the basketball courts could do with a bit of trimming as it would sometimes interfere with the shots. Handball court grounds were flat which was good except the front horizontal lines at the front which was honestly used for reflex practices as you would never know which way the ball would go after bouncing on it. Still not too sure why there were big bushes with thorns, if a ball went in there basketball or not it was hard to get it out without getting stabbed by the thorns.

If you going in a big group, you need a permit

Ive never been a pool person due to the horror stories Ive heard. I lived by this pool for 3 years and finally went with my son and believe it or not I regret that I didnt go sooner! Many life guards, police officers, and park staff! The pool is very clean and the best session is the morning! Ive never went for evening because thats when the rowdy crowd comes in as some staff members have told me. Overall, great if you dont want to commute to the beach, lockers are small but I feel pretty safe with my belongings there. Just make sure to present your lock to staff and your bag and get ready for a relaxing pool day!

It is very clean and big pool, but pretty shallow and with super strict rules. No electronics or anything to play with can be brought to the pool. It has concrete all around and about 30 seats. Baby pool and then huge second pool. Lots of lifeguards closely watching any violation. No workout or movement around alliwed, that is big disturbing. Closes for an hour btw 3-4pm

Such an amazing facility. So greatful to have this near us. My daughter loves coming here and I also can do lap swimming early on or at night. Clean too!

I like the location despite the fact that youre swimming through seaweed and fresh/chlorine aquatic life along with other floaties in the water. The pool can get crowded in the morning and there are bitchy entitled people, but you can tell them to get over it or slow slower to give them a bad day.My swimming is fine, but some folks act like its a private pool, so dont let them bully you around. Being a swift swimmer does not elevate you over others, and if you witness it, you should help stand up for the injustice as I do from time to time.

This park is open year round, but its really only busy when the pool is available in the summer. When its busy the line can sometimes stretch out around the block. There are two pools, a smaller kiddie pool thats about 2-3 feet deep and a bigger adult pool thats about 5 feet deep. You cant really swim in the afternoon because of the crowds, the best you can hope for is to splash around. In the mornings however, they put up lane dividers and you can actually get some swimming done.

Its great kids everywhere and when you first come in security check your bags then when there done your all good to go

I lived on Henry st in the 1950s and we kids walked to the Pitt st swimming pool. It was a dime to get in, and was worth the wait in the long lines. Once in, we kids had great times in the 4 foot pool...But the best was the 16 foot foot pool with a high diving board. Thats where I learned to swim after the life guard encouraged me to climb the high board and jump in...Thanks for the memories.

If youve never visited here you would be actually surprised at some of the cool parks that New York has. I figured with his many people live in here the parks will be full of bums. But they keep them pretty clear and safe

This pool is great. I always have fun with my friends even when I dont know theyre coming to this pool. Hopefully this pool will stay open when I get older.

Great place. The front gate attendant couldve been a little more diplomatic when rejecting my girlfriends lock as too small.

They have the same rules as other city pools, but are much more strict – down to the BRAND of lock you use. However, there’s plenty of room for everyone to enjoy.

A lot of bad people parks are dirty and a lot of garbage all over the place

Sometimes is really crowded, but when theres a good amount of people, the waters clean and the pools great. very professional atmosphere and nice people.

The bathroom helpers need some training on how to talk or communicate with people and nit to be sarcastic when giving or saying something to someone and then marking the person so it could get to a aggressive situation. Im here now and just happend to me with my son been there with me. P. S

Ive been coming to this outdoor swimming pool every day in the summer and its large starts at 3 ft then progresses to more footage as you swim further. Also has a kiddie Pool.

They have an adult and kids pool, sprinklers and park!! Great for the family.
