Booked our family fishing trip online easily. Our kids are 7, 5 and 2. Caught a bunch of catfish and snapper and some other types. Kids were fully entertained and just when we started getting too hot we went back in. Captain was friendly and knows all there is to know about the area. We also saw a ton of dolphins!

We had a great time on this tour with Brandon. A captain who knows the area, wildlife and safe boat driver. The Indian River is a beautiful place and this company respects the area and wildlife. Cant wait to come back.

We did this boat trip yesterday and what a great time we had. The Captain was very knowledgeable and friendly.Now we want to do the SunSet Cruise.It was amazing watching the dolphins following our wake from the boat.

Super easy to get on and off this boat. The captain was funny and super informative. They had a bathroom and water and ponchos available. Part of the boat is covered but mostly all open (bring a light jacket!). We saw dolphins and even a manatee. He explained all the wildlife, land and history. Im so happy I supported a business like this!

The tour was spectacular and exciting although the Manatees were a bit coy the dolphins did not disappoint. Captain Bills humor and narrative were an added pleasure. The pontoon boat was roomy and provided a comfortable place to enjoy the sunshine and/or the shade under the spacious canopy. Brandon the first mate was a delightful young man and a pleasure to talk to. I highly recommend this excursion if you are in the area.

Our first time... We will be back to bring friends and family for a great trip. Captain Bill and first mate Brandon were very friendly and great spotting local wildlife.We were able to capture photos and memories of the many dolphins playing in our wake. Great time for me and my dad who is the captain of his own large fishing boat.

Fantastic trip! Definitely wish it was longer.We saw tons of Manatee and a handful of Dolphins, along with many different types of birds. Captain Bill was absolutely hilarious, and full of great info. First Mate Branden did a great job spotting the wildlife and talking with all of the passengers.

This was an excellent boat tour! The captain was very knowledgeable about the area and took us to see lots of Aquatic Life. I had the most up close and personal encounter with manatees I have ever even heard of! We also saw lots of dolphins that ran alongside the boat. It was definitely a worthwhile trip! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone that wants to have a nice leisurely time and see some very interesting things.

It was a pleasant and relaxing boat ride down the river on a pontoon boat. The captain and first mate were friendly and talkative. They talked about the history of the area and pointed out some famous landmarks. We saw some dolphins swimming nearby and just saw the nostrils of a manatee and also saw his footprint in the water. It was not an exciting or adventurous ride, but was more slow and calm.

2nd trip, even better than first. Very knowledgeable and customer oriented. Took care that the small kids on board got front row looks at dolphins. Definitely recommend

The Turtle Mound River tour is awesome. Tour guides are extremely knowledgeable about the area and environment. The best part is, of course, the dolphins. They were plentiful and playful. Loved every minute!

This was a great tour the Captain of the boat was extremely knowledgeable of the history of the area along with the wildlife. We had a great time and would recommend this trip to anyone that wants to see all that the local coast has to offer. All of the employees are very polite and answer any questions that are asked.

Beautiful relaxing narrated tour while viewing dolphins, manatees and wild birds in their natural habitat. Captain parked our boat so we could enjoy a large group of manatees frolic about and on our return trip had 4 dolphins follow in our wake which made for an exciting trip! Great value!!!

Rodney our boat Captain was the best. He really knows his flora and fauna. We saw Manatees, Dolphins missed the Turtle but saw Bald Eagles and numerous other birds. He explained the history of the area and gave us 2 full hours of time on the water. They left on time and the operation is very well run. Go, you wont regret it. This was our second visit and we will return next year.

Captain Rodney was the best! 1st mate great, too. They gave us tons of new information and we live here! Saw dozens of dolphins and their babies. You can bring your own food and drinks.

Had a good time with Cptn. Bill while taking a 2hr tour with Turtle Mound River Tours. A half covered pontoon takes you around part of the intercoastal waters near New Smyrna and Canaveral National Seashore. You can see dolphins, birds, and occasionally manatees if youre looking. I had a good time, hopefully you will too.

We went on the 2 hour tour, Thursday February 20th, 2020. It was still early to see manatees, but we were lucky enough to see two snouts before they submerged for a while. The dolphins are another story. We got a personal show of feeding on the river bottom, and then they followed us home playing, twisting, jumping in the boat’s wake. It was the coolest experience. I could’ve touched them had the rail on the boat been lower. Also saw some herons, komorants, and other sea birds. Tour guide Rodney and his crew were wonderful. Organized, knowledgeable, and funny. He answered all the questions we had. Awesome tour!!

Very informative two hour tour. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We had a few dolphins come around the boat to play. The guide came around to everyone and took pictures with our cellphones so there was no worry of messed up selfies.

We bring visiting family out on the water in Florida as often as possible. The Turtle Mound tour was great fun and everyone enjoyed it. The boat was clean, quiet and had plenty of shade. Our Captain and first mate were great, and shared tons of local knowledge. The Turtle Mound team worked very hard to accommodate our schedule (as well as that of another party) due to unavoidable delays on I4. Their prices were very reasonable, and like any company providing a similar service they rely on tips to earn a living. If you are looking for alternative activities you cant miss with this tour.

We booked a private tour for our family of 1;, grandparents, two couples, eight kids. Captain Bill and First mate Brandon were piloting the boat. Everything was wonderful!!! They were both very knowledgeable, funny, and tolerant of a thousand questions from the kids. We saw both manatees and dolphins. We also saw a baby manatee and Mama super close? We had a pod of dolphins iincluding a baby follow in our wake twice for a very long way! The kids were thrilled! Both men were extremely good at finding the animals!! We will definitely do this again. I highly recommend this tour company! The whole experience was perfect!!

Some members of the MOAS Guild went on a private tour on February 25, 2020. We had an awesome time. After the Turtle Mound River Tour we enjoyed a great dinner at JB’s Fish Camp. We all had a great day. Don’t miss the river tour or dining at JB’s.

Nice tour. Two minor complaints - first, not all of the boat is under cover, so when they have a nearly full load almost half of the people have to sit out in the sun. Second, the captain doesnt have all his facts straight and feeds you rumors and inaccurate information - such as the Love bugs we have here in Florida. Those migrated from Louisiana and werent the by-product of an experiment done by a Florida University as he would have you believe. But the main attraction is very real and fun to see - the dolphins, the manatee, the birds, and nature in general - thats what the tour is really about and you get whats advertised as long as you go during the right season, which we did. Two hours is plenty - probably more than what we really needed. I wouldnt recommend it for small children who get bored easily. Its a great way to see another side of Florida that doesnt involve amusement parks.

A fun 2 hour boat tour of turtle mound. You will see dalphins, birds and manatees (late March thru October). They also provide info about Apollo beach.

They will ask for your order number which does not appear anywhere on the groupon voucher, if you cant supply the order number they will not honor your coupon. What a great afternoon! the staff was friendly. The captain was knowledgeable and had funny jokes. We saw tons wild life including manatees and dolphins. The manatees (about 6 of them) played around the boat for about 20 min allowing us to get great photos and video. The dolphins followed the boat and rode the wake of the boat. I am a Floridian for 40 years and was amazed at the wildlife.

This was AMAZING! We had a blast on the boat. Captain Rodney and first mate were great. Saw manatees, dolphins, and a lot of history. Early morning ride was a great way to beat the heat.

Theses guys are GREAT! They take you out on the water, tell you about the history of the area, show you manatees, dolphins & more (in June at least.) All very professional & knowledgeable. Captain Bill and his mate Brandon were excellent guides on our tour of the Indian River. We saw 20+ dolphins, osprey, pelican, herons, and various other birds. Bill coaxed a few dolphins to surf the boats wake giving our young daughters a stunning close up view of wildlife. Then we got to see a large aggregation of manatee in the shallows. They were very active and we anchored a while to watch them play. Two curious ones swam right up to the bow of the boat and sniffed at us.On top of all the wildlife, Bill and Brandon were Great narrators as we explored the Indian River and Turtle Mound area. Would absolutely go with them again in the future. Our family had a great time.EDIT: mixed up seeing gators from the boat w/ other sightseeing we did that day ;) sorry for the mixup

Absolutely the best time of our trip to Daytona. Our group of 11 had the entire boat and had so much fun. We felt like part of the team and enjoyed up close and personal time with the wildlife (at a safe distance of course). I could not have been more pleased and we will absolutely do this again!

What an amazing experience. Reading other reviews, I was hopeful but my expectations were definitely exceeded. We got to see dolphin pods and a bunch of manatees playing. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make this a great trip. I was worried about young kids (4 & 6) on the boat, but the staff was absolutely wonderful with them and did a fantastic job keeping them engaged and safe.

While looking for things to do in NSB we stumbled upon a Groupon for Turtle Mount and thought wed give it a shot! It was a great time for a great value. Definitely a hot day, but the boat has plenty of shade; you might have to stand to be in it, though. Cpt. Bill was knowledgable about the area and wildlife. Saw several dolphins and a few manatees, but from a distance. The only thing I would suggest would be to have water available, even if you had to pay for it. I gladly wouldve paid a buck or two for a bottle of water, as we forgot and only brought one for our party of four. Oops! Thanks for a great tour!

We took the tour yesterday and it was fantastic! We saw a ton of dolphins and manatees, really awesome. The captain was very knowledgeable and was far more interested in ensuring that everyone enjoyed the experience rather than just trying to get through another tour. I highly recommend a visit with these guys, its quite worth it, youll have a great time.

Honestly, the tour guide was amazing. Shared TONS of great info about the area, we all loved it. He mentioned tips at the end, and we all got off and started walking away, making sure the small children were safely ashore. Then the member of our group who organized & paid for the trip went back to give him a tip, and while walking towards him, heard something like, wow, those a******s! Didnt even leave a tip! Fantastic tour though.

You will love this guided tour of one our local treasures, Indian River. Tours are generally 2 hours and you are sure to see lots of wildlife including playful dolphins, manatees and lots of water birds.

Capt.Rodney and his mate did a great job for 17 of us on a private tour. Totally worth every dollar and more to see dolphins and manatees up close. Also got a a chance to relax on the water for a couple hours while learning about the area. No bugs during the day either. Highly recommend this activity for large and small groups when staying in New Smyrna.

This tour was perfect for our vacation in New Smyrna Beach. The crew are so helpful and interactive, and gave us every detail about what we saw. Two hours on the gorgeous water with sun and breeze. We got to see lots of dolphins up close and manatee playing the cove. Awesome trip!

This tour was awesome. We saw dolphins, pelicans, and a bald eagle! We enjoyed listening about the history of Turtle Mound. The Captain and First Mate we’re very friendly. It amazed me how many people didn’t leave a tip!

I had a great experience, up until the last few minutes. The tour was great - we saw lots of dolphins and manitees. The captain/tour guide was great at telling the history of the area and places of interest. The boat is relatively comfortable, and it was overall a great experience.However, once we arrived back at the dock, my experience quickly changed. All around the boat are big jars for tips that say tips are greatly appreciated. On my tour, no one gave put anything in the tip jars. As we got off the boat and were walking back to the parking lot, the crew started calling out very loudly comments about not receiving tips such as the following:Unbelievable - absolutely nothing!I hope you all choke on your dinner.I was very surprised, and it soured my entire experience. Someone in my group went back to their car and got some cash to give a tip. So - I would highly recommend planning on bringing cash and tipping if you do intend to go on this tour.

We took the morning 2 hour tour. As advertised, we saw manatees and dolphin! Our captain Rodney was very knowledgeable about the area, plus a funny guy! First mate Brandon was very helpful! Enjoyed it very much!

This place gave our family a wonderful tour. There were about 20 of us, of all ages. Great tour at a great price. The boat stopped at a sandbar for us, allowing us to get out and walk around in the water a bit. We brought our own coolers full of food, beer and wine. The captain was friendly and has a good sense of humor. If youre looking for a place to do something unique with a group, its hard to beat this price for being out on the water.

Hey if your looking for something to do this is your best bet, it is a hidden jewel. Captain Bill and Vanessa were so nice and they go the extra step to make this tour one of the most enjoyable tours in the area. Make this a must do and you wont be disappointed :o)
