Really easy to get to and has good parking. We were driving to the beach and saw a sign on the road. So we pulled in to see. The trail is pretty long and we had never done it before so we just walked until we were back into the woods & turned around lol Definitely planning on coming back with better shoes for this one because flip flops werent working out.

Pleasant and Enjoyable Experience.Although I was only briefly out of ear shot of the cars on 415, this area really offered a pleasing nature experience. I saw 3 dears, and accidentally punted a snake (while trying to shoo away a buzzy flying creature). The snake was OK, and is pictured below. There were houses on the right and left when I first started and again down the side that parallels 415. There was also a Ranch along the trail and a large open shed with building materials and equipment. I prefer hikes that take me a little more away from mankind.Still it was an overall pleasing experience, and I had a great time. Getting some wonderful pictures as well.

I think this used to be part of a cattle ranch. We went here to get some plants samples for my oldest daughters botany class. While there we noted this fuzzy bear caterpillar that decided to freak out my youngest girl by camping on the toilet paper in out house. We also witnessed a tree spontaneously fall by its self in an apparent attempt to answer the question of does a tree make a sound if no one is around.

My favorite place to take my dog. Always kept up nicely. Its great for running because of the soft sand. Not the best sights but a calm quiet backwoods trail in costal Florida. Parking lot is a little muddy on rainy days. Has a bathroom, havent located a water fountain. Lots of deer frequent this road in the early am.

There is a port a Jon a little way down the trail. The trail was too muddy and full of water to make the full circuit on the yellow trail. We ended up going through a fence and out onto the highway and hiking a mile back to the parking. Maybe its hikable when its been dry for weeks.

Nice place for a horseback ride, but not alot of ridable trails. Looks like they are in the process of making more trails, so looking forward to checking them out. I do wish the would re-configure the parking area, they could take out some trees for more parking and place a gate to open and close as needed for safety in case a horse got loose. The gate would keep the horse from getting to traffic on 415. Just some suggestions to make this a little more usable and safe.

One of the best trails in the area, mostly shaded, and a nice loop with a few options.

Boring. Another tree farm experience pretending to be a park.

This is the perfect place to come back to for an outdoor adventure now that I know what to bring and where. What starts out as a well packed dirt path for a multi-use bike, quickly degrades into patches of fallen trees and big roots that might be manageable with a mountain bike, but with a multi-use bike, we got off and walked it.Then the adventure grew as we got to the flooded part of the path with a three plank boardwalk that meandered through the forest on the edge of the water covered trail as well as over the water covered trail. When I say three planks, the planks were four by fours. Sturdy and strong, but with a gap wide enough to drop your tire through between each plank. I was really impressed with my almost 6-year-old grandson who wanted to keep going when I made us turn around.Mosquito repellent is a must, but if youre looking for some roughing it adventure in the Florida wilderness, this is a great choice. If youre looking for something wheelchair accessible, this is not the place to come.
