I only gave 4 stars cuz its just opened and lots of renovation is promised .. but it is SOOO worth going to and will be awesome when hes finished. He promises BIG things in April for their grand opening, but said they will be adding things all up until then and will be open weekends until then .. I cant wait to go back to see whats new.

Last minute camping trip to Natchitoches. Only plans were to see the Christmas lights. Googled “things to do with kids” and came across the Gator Park. Exceeded expectations. We ALL had an amazing time. All staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. My boys held box turtles and baby alligators. They fed goats, tortoises, emus, and huge alligators. They now think I’m the coolest mom ever for bringing them to their new favorite place on Earth.

Wonderful place for all ages of the family. Absolutely loved meeting the new owners and we cant wait to see what is all still to come. From feeding the tortoises, the feeding the alligators, holding snakes, holing gators, it was a guaranteed smile on everyones face.

I was so hopeful that this park had improved over time (I hadnt been in about 16 years), unfortunately it was very gross and enclosures were pitiful for the snakes. I know animals smell, but wow this was worse than a zoo with mutiple animals (this park has alligators, snakes, raccoons, goats, turtles). Some animals didnt have water and it was super hot when we went (September). The place could use some cleaning, a paint job (everything was faded and some things broken), and update. The best part of it all was the show feeding the alligators, but after that you just kinda aimlessly walk about trying to get your moneys worth.

The best part is the little show they put on when feeding the huge alligators they have over there. There is cute wooden cut outs to take photos with.. got to love photo ops great selection in the souvenir shop with decent prices. All in all its a great little spot for some family fun

My family had such an amazing time at this park. The day we went, it was a bit of a rainy day. I was worried that they would be closed but they were in fact open. It was not a very big Park but that should not deter you from visiting. Even with its size, they pack in so many sights and experiences with in this park. Watching them feed the alligators was definitely a highlight. Towards the end of our trip we decided to pay for a photo while holding an alligator. That surely was an experience I will never forget. Also note, they have more than just alligators at this park. They have a variety of animals. I I did take the time to experience there Diner as well. We tried about everything on the menu including Alligator, boudin balls and meat pies. For those who do not wish to be as adventurous with your food choices, they also offer more common items. I highly recommend this park and I will be back with my family again.

A little run down but it is a hidden gem. Had a great time with the young one feeding the animals and watching the feeding of the gators. We also enjoyed the boudin balls! We were real excited to hold a baby gator. Prices were fair. Bring the whole family its worth taking the drive. See you later alligator!!

Alligators GREAT, awesome, huge, and numerous. Active only during feeding. If visiting on a hot day there may be no movement from them other than feeding time. Park poorly maintained, many glass displays too filthy to see through, paint cracking and flaking off when touched.

This place was interesting. It was cool to see all the alligators and crocodiles, but some looked like they were dead...it looks a bit run down and not very well presrrved. Our kids enjoyed it, but they wondered if some were dead. Overall, if your looking to kill some time and quick entertainment, this place will do.

Its small, but totally worth it. You can have enough time to actually get up close and observe all the animals in the park and see how they live in their natural habitat. You get to hold a live baby gator, at a small price (pic included), and they have indoor food stand with seating, outdoor seating as well, with an assortment of tasty food, gator meat included on menu, and snow cones. And who doesnt want to see dozens of gators being fed in the water that surrounds an small island, with some history, and hand feed goats and miniature horses. Looks to me like it could still be family run from the news articles on the walls in the gift shop/ticket purchase area. We will be back! All you have to do is look for the school bus that resembles a gator on HWY 1.

Took my mom here on 8/31/19. It was very dirty and nasty. There were bees nests, spider webs, and dirt everywhere. The bathroom was dirty as well. I know its an outdoor facility, but I wish they would invest money into a deep cleaning or good hose pipe.

I was a returning visitor. It was several years ago when I first went. I totally enjoyed it. This year I took my grandkids, I was a little disappointed as far as the upkeep of some of the areas. There was a lot of large piles of poop in the Marsh pavilion where you had to walk and sit. I also noticed it was above our heads too. But for the majority of our visit it was good. The food was good and the staff were very friendly. The prices are very reasonable and the animals were enjoyable. I will still recommend it for a place to take the kids.

I would have loved to have rated this place based on my experience, but unfortunately we already know we won’t be back because of the experience we didn’t get to have. Driving back home with 2 upset kiddos now.. But here’s why I gave them a 1star review. We arrived 40 minutes before they closed, 10 minutes before they would stop selling tickets. When we went in we were told that all of the exhibits were closed because they “close early” on Sunday. Suggestion to owner: stay opened to the hours that are listed on your website OR update your website.

The staff was very friendly. Admission price was fine. Paying almost 5 bucks for 2 waters was ridiculous. Its very filthy and run down but we still had fun. Keep in mind for those not local August is the hottest month in Louisiana so it was sweltering. The gift shop was great. Some of the prices were a little high. The food was good but way over priced. Id go again if they clean the benches and get rid of all the wasps nests.

Come to Louisiana you have to see Gators, some very huge gators and the feeding was pretty spectacular. Small petting room along with various animals and reptiles native to the area. The snack shop has meat and crawfish pies that are wonderful, the gator on the stick was a bit chewy, but a great place to get something to eat.

Ive been coming here nearly every year since I was in kindergarten. Now I am bringing my kids. We went today. Let me start off by saying the employees were five star! No doubt. But this place has really went down. Lots of the exhibits/animals were gone which really was so disappointing. Bathrooms were awful. Snow cone stand not open. Was really surprised by how much this place has changed. Used to be wonderful, but now I would consider it even over priced for the quality of everything.

It was a good experience to see something me and the kids arent use to seeing. Definitely would go back. They have a snack bar that sells hot food, it was decent. Definitely would go back. Just gave it 3 stars because the lack of places to keep cool there, the bathroom wasnt all that great, and some of the attractions they had were couldnt see because the glass holding the animals were dirty. This was our first time to visit this place. I was not impressed with any part of the experience. The goats were the only animals there that seemed like they were actually taken care of. All of the facilities were in horrible condition, and the smell was horrible. There were several tiny gators that looked to be the result of inbreeding considering their top jaws were shifted right, and their bottom jaws were shifted left. To top it all off, there was a dead gator that they only threw a tarp over. You could tell it had been dead for a while. There were maggots everywhere and the smell was unbearable. As for the deer, they are extremely malnurtished, and lived in an only dirt pen with no grass or hay, their water was also stagnated. The mini ponies seemed healthy and fat, however their tails were so matted with poop and dirt. I wish they’d take better care of these poor animals and update their facilities..

Ok look- it’s an ok place if your traveling and need to stretch your legs and let the kids burn off some energy. Other then that it’s a waste to drive out of your way to see. The staff is friendly at the entrance other then that you don’t see any staff throughout the park. You can feed the alligators dog food and apparently the big show to watch is at 11:30 which we didn’t bother to stay and watch. The place is very run down. The smell where the snakes are kept was so unbearable we couldn’t stay inside. ( no exasperation’s ) when walking to see the bigger alligators one was dead and covered w: a tarp and left. The smell coming from this was disgusting.Look it cost us $40 for 4 us to stretch our legs and get back in the road. 2 Stars is kind

Just left from there and I must say, it was actually very depressing. I get that theyre just alligators but those poor things look miserable. Half of em looked dead. And all they get to eat is dog good. Really? Smh. Felt exceptionally bad for the little goats. Theyre starved! You can hand-feed them, thru the wires, and they practically attack the food. Kids will probably like it because they dont understand animal cruelty but for an adult who has empathy for animals? Not a place to go.
