Would love to give this place 5 stars, but that wait time is horrible. Spent 3 hours in line waiting. Yes, I know fire martial and COVID restrictions... but at least have some more entertainment for the folks waiting to keep them occupied. One of the clown characters came out for just a short amount of time and told jokes and handed out cups. This was great except he didnt have a mic or megaphone and no one could hear him, but more entertainment while waiting would definitely ease the angry mob.As for the haunted trail and 3D carnival; absolutely awesome job guys! My family had a blast once we actually got in and the actors were very friendly and entertaining. May go back next year and try again because it truly was great entertainment, but that line... whew...

Was told that based on ticket sales last night we would have 30 to 1 hour wait. Waited 2 hours for the 3d Carnival and still had over 1 hour left. Dark woods the attendant said 2 1/2 hours so probably more like 4. First and Last you will get my money. Fast never moved on the carnival 3d either before you say should have bought a fast pass.

The folks here are incredibly nice! They took the time to explain everything about the rock sluce to my kiddos and came around to see how we were doing through out or stay. I love the cute campy outdoor environment, the snack shack is awesome, the trail is awesome. Everything is just awesome.

We went for the Christmas light display which was just great! I absolutely loved the lights and the atmosphere. There were several little stops you could make to get refreshments, take pictures, and souvenirs. I think it was a great set up for the Halloween festivities and would love to go back for that as well. Prices were kinda higher but worth it

This may be the first year they held Christmas in the Park...We were passing through and stopped. We had three younger kiddos. I should post a pic of their faces when we got through it. They were all excited at each new thing but that all changed when they realized we were done. Not much there. $6 per person. They told us at the gate how many things there were to do... and there was. Each coating its own premium to partake. $6 per person gets you about a 30 min walk and a visit with Santa or a special guest.I would go into town. At least there it is $6 per person over 12 and they get several hours of entertainment.I would prefer they charge $10 and get access to everything.

Absolutely had a BLAST! I dont think Ive screamed in so many peoples faces in such a long time! The trail was SO creepy and left me feeling so vulnerable and I couldnt stop looking all around me. From the beginning of the trail to the end ...I dont think I stopped screaming and jumping. I LOVED that it would outside and in the elements! The House was a lot of fun with the 3D look of it! The tunnel that spins was by far my favorite part of the House. The Meat Pies and Mini Donuts are to DIE FOR! Definitely planning on going back again ...and am excited to see what they have in store for their Holiday Show!!

A MUST if you are into haunted houses and live anywhere in north LA. The staff is very friendly. The actors are engaging and interact with most everyone. For people who remember the Edge of Madness in Calhoun, LA from a while back, this is of the same caliber. Very impressed and will return next year!

OK, so this may be long, but I cant stand leaving reviews that are so short it doesnt benefit the people who are reading it. My girlfriend and I with our son and his friend drove all the way out to Natchitoches from Dallas to finally visit Dark Woods. We had heard/read great things about the attraction and were finally able to get out there. We reserved a hotel room for the night so we would have enough time to stay in town to see the sights. Not known to us, it was the weekend of the homecoming game at their local college, NSU, so we were lucky to get a room.We knew with it being close to Halloween, we would be dealing with big crowds at Dark Woods. Were seasoned haunted house fans and know the drill. Getting there when they first open is a must, and if you can, get a fast pass. This is a given in my book and I cant stress enough how great and worth it, it is, to spend a few bucks more to get to the head of the lines. We were delighted at the pricing of the tickets at Dark Woods. This allowed all four of us to afford to get into both attractions with fast passes. The grounds of Dark Woods are amazing. It was still light out when we got there, but the sun quickly went down and the park became dark and took on a whole new life. This is the perfect setting for a haunted house/attraction. Haunted trails have always been my favorite and theirs does not disappoint! Dead Fall Trail just seems to go on forever and just when you think youre safe, you quickly realize you are not! My heart got a workout on that trail! We then moved onto their second attraction, Dark Carnival in 3D. Wall to wall scares and you just never know was is lurking around the corner. They use every inch of space in this haunt and it shows. I am so used to quick and smaller clown themed shows, but this, like the trail, just kept going. So much packed into that show. We had a blast.A big shout out to the actors for their hard work and getting my blood and heart pumping.I also want to mention the concessions. They have a variety of sodas and water as well as these AMAZING mini donuts in so many flavors. We tried the cinnamon sugar, chocolate and vanilla donuts and they were so tasty. We also had one of their meat pies. So so good! Our last stop was at the merchandise booth where we bought some cool water bottles, hats and shirts. They have a nice variety of item to purchase. You cant go to a haunt and not leave with something from the merch booth. Thanks to the entire crew at Dark Woods for an amazing time! Were already planning on coming back in December for your Christmas show!!

Horrible experienc . We spent almost 2 hours in line to get tickets and purchased tickets for both events. We had a group of 8. We stood in line for the 3D carnival for over 2 hours. Those that have the fast pass ruin the fun for you because theyre allowed to go even though you have stood in line over 2 hours, feet and back hurt. By the time it is finally your turn all you want to do is go home because you hurt and exhausted. We didnt even do the haunted trail, which is the main reason we wanted to go but decided against it because the line was too long and we didnt want to stand in line for another 2 hours. We drove 2 hours to be able to go and this was a total waste of time and mone . We will never go to this again and we will not recommend it. Horrible experience

Honestly, the reviews are well deserved. I visited thinking it would be a run of the mill thrill, but the haunted house as well as the trail did NOT disappoint. There were plenty of scares around every corner and it was worth the price 100%. The house was definitely a thing of nightmares and the trail was more of a realistic horror. I will definitely be coming back next year!

We went to see the Christmas lights. The lights were nice for the price. This is a walk thru park and it has a couple of steep hills. I would not recommend it for anyone with limited mobility or anyone in a wheelchair. Im in a wheelchair and there is no way that I could manage it. The young me who worked there helped me. However, I was so nervous and afraid of getting dumped out of my chair that I couldnt really enjoy it. t

It was pretty good. Im a horror fan and love the thrill of being scared. This place done a pretty good job at that. The 3D carnival was OK, I got laughs out of it, but the Dead Fall Trail is what really got my jollies going. Not too mention me and my husband getting a kick out of watching other people screaming and running in terror.Sleezy though was pretty awesome. One of their twisted clowns. He made the wait so enjoyable and what I liked most of all was how he switched between not being scary with the kids, then scare the adults, while talking dirty to adults who talked dirty. Which is me, and we went to town, and my husband couldnt stop laughing.I wasnt aware of Fast Pass, and it was Sleezy who was telling folks you can upgrade to Fast Pass. I did. And it was worth it.Then as we were walking out, a young patron (for real), was so terrified of one of the extras she couldnt get out and had asked me if she could walk with us. And so arm in arm, I had to walk this girl around the extra lurking by the exit. But like another reviewer mentioned, you guys gotta work on fixing up the parking. The parking was just as scary as the attraction! (j/k) LOL

Absolutely fantastic haunt! First take the long, winding, fright-filled trail through the haunted woods. If you make it through the bloody, abandoned shacks, and maze, try the trippy, 3D Dark Carnival. Dark, splattered hallways filled with all sorts of terrors and, of course, clowns await. The woods are haunted in Natchitoches, and are definitely getting better every season.

We love Darkwoods! My wife and I went the first year and then took our teenagers this year. The improvements and expansions are worth every penny (we recommend the fast passes). Get out and make the drive Shreveport/Bossier! The actors and design are professional level, incredible attention to detail. The 3D Carnival house was a giant scary mindwarp even withtout the glasses they provided (but so cool when you wear them the whole time). Do not think all haunts are the same because the forest trail is uniquely terrifying and fun. It has expanded and is still my favorite part even though the 3D house will equal or better any haunted house attraction. The owners of this place clearly want you to have fun and to blow off steam. The actors are so cool and happy to take a selfie if you find one outside the trail or house. If you want a beautifully scary stress release, turn on your fight or flight button and visit Darkwoods. We will be making this a yearly appointment for a huge dose of screams and laughter. Family fun night indeed!
