I want to give a HUGE thank you to Chris W., Mark, Jo Jo and the entire staff of Tootsies for being the most amazing people on earth! I lost a wallet and jacket there last weekend and they went above and beyond to ensure it was returned to me! This is proof that great/honest people still exist. You have not been to Nashville if you havent visited this iconic establishment! See you guys VERY soon!
Great little setup going on we sat right in front of the downstairs stage. Music was awesome. Only ordered several rounds of drinks. They kept giving us these little sampler baskets. I had my guard down and made a poor assumption that 6 French fries 3 tater tots and a pretzel bite was probably free. However they are 5.50 a pop. I paid 77 dollars for maybe 10 bucks tops in finger food. Well played well played
If youre in Nashville and headed to Broadway, definitely go to Tootsies! One of my favorites for the past 14 years. Great music, friendly staff and a laid back atmosphere. Cocktails are tasty and served with little sides of fries/tater tots.
Rated a 5 for the history of the establishment and very chilled bottle beer.Had a solid time on my visit. No complaints.Obviously this place is known for live music and not food. Did not sample the limited food menu.Bottled beer prices are a little steep, but this is a city place so expectation was a higher price point.
It’s my bachelorette party.. We went to Tootsies because we heard it was a hot spot. The amazing bouncer at the door was incredible. However, After waiting in line for so long we finally got upstairs. Unfortunately we were greeted by the meanest server ever. She had red curly hair and didn’t come and get our drinks for almost 20 min. After a while, we finally had our own drinks that we started drinking. As soon as we took them out, she finally came over and yelled at us to get rid of them or she wasGoing to kick us out. We asked where we could put them and she called the security guard on us. He then went through our purses and was o aggressive and mean. We complied and gave him the drinks saying we aren’t trying to have an issue. It got so aggressive and heated that we ended up leaving. So disappointed in how terrible they treat people! Don’t deal with the redhead. Or the bouncer upstairs. So rude and hateful!
They have live music downstairs as you walk in the door. So if youre not into loud live music dont sit downstairs. They have a bunch of signed pictures downstairs all over the walls of different singers that I guess have played there in the almost 60 years theyve been open. We didnt go upstairs so Im not sure whats up there. We had the pulled pork sandwiches and fries. Great choice! They were out of their moonshine so we couldnt try it. Maybe next month when were back in the area.
Was pretty bummed that they were out of the apple pie moonshine while visiting, but had other great drink options. The band playing that morning was AMAZING!! A great place to visit for sure.
Have been wanting to go inside for both trips and finally made it. The have the original 2 floors and added a third about 5 years ago. Bar tenders are great and friendly and music is going on 3 stages. They didnt have Grey Goose so I had to settle for Titos and were out of apicy cheese curds... we know how I love my Goose and cheese. Other than that... a great experience.
It is exactly what you would expect from a bar downtown. Best of the honky tonks hands down though! At night Emily is the best of the bartenders, she brings great energy, others could follow her example. If youre not from Nashville you will enjoy the music and history Tootsies brings. Do be little accommodating these days with a pandemic, might take longer to get in.
On November 21st around 7pm we were in a long line to get in that stretched out into the street (typical on a weekend). The doorman (heavy built, african american guy about 510”) walked up to a large group behind us and offered to let them in for $150. They paid him and jumped the line. We left.We went back the next morning, and we had a fine time. Its a cool old bar with a lot of history, but that doorman stuff was shady as hell.
The bartender Jason was fantastic! He was very attentive & professional. The band was great this is why I always come back to visit from Chicago! The bar is a staple here in Nashville! I highly recommend you coming here!!
The band of 4 older guys just rocked. I mean youre hitting the bars for some live music and they were awesome. The service was quick and the beer was cold. What more do you want. No question.
By far the best bar downtown!! I dont know the bands name unfortunately but (it was 4 men and 1 woman) they were amazing!! Made the night so much fun and the service was extremely fast!
Went here for a bachelorette party for my sister. The service was absolutely awful! There was a red head server that was horrendous, literally tried to ruin our night. We left immediately! Went across the street to Mellow Mushroom rooftop bar and had a great time. Such a shame for such a legendary bar. Such a shame!
This place is a classic. The bartender is great she can wait tables and bartend. Was there on 11-8 the music that night was just ok but not bad. The security team and manager did a great job getting people in and out. We appreciate the hard work
If you ever travel to Nashville, this is the place to go. It took us all the way back to the 50s. Good mood, friendly bartenders and quality live music. The best bar Ive been in on Broadway.
That was one of the worst meals I ever ate in an airport. Was my burger even real meat? The beer was good, but how can you mess that up, it came out of a tap? I would NOT recommend Tootsies, go to Burger King, much cheaper and real meat.
Always a lively place with great food and friendly people. Years ago when the Grand Ole Opry was at the Ryman Auditorium, the back door of both places faced each other. While the show was going on the performers were waiting in the back room. of Tootsies. A trip to Nashville should always include a stop here.
Great live music. Good drink choices. Reasonably priced for downtown Nashville. Service was good.
Lots of history with this bar. Always a good time and great live music. You will not be disappointed
We were charged for things that we didnt order. Paid over $40 for a beer and 2 shots. The bartender explained but it was so loud so I just complied and paid the tab. The live music that was playing was really good though!
Music was amazing. Drinks were great. What a great way to spend a few hours down on the riverfront.
Loved it. Best Bloody Mary I have had in a long long time. Great music.
We went because.... thats what you do when visiting Broadway in Nashville. It was loud and sticky. Memorabilia was fun to look at and the bar food was surprisingly delicious.
Loved loved loved. Great little music bar. Great live music and drinks.
Fantastic place to listen to some local talent. Might get lucky and see the next big thing
Due to Covid-19, the bar itself is closed but they are offering drinks to-go and much to our surprise, LIVE MUSIC! They had live music playing inside and they were streaming the music outside! Great place, even during this rough time.
Nice upper balcony and laid back atmosphere. Food is OK.
Great atmosphere overall covid regulation made for hovering security but would definitely be willing to give it a post covid try again
We had a blast finally getting back to the old days.
Fun stop to hear some bands on Broadway. Lots of history.
I LOVE THIS PLACE. MY HUSBAND TREY HARRISS PICTURE IS ON THE WALL AT THE REGISTER 2ND FLOOR.
First Place we wanted to go as we got to nashville. Waited on line for an hour and watched a girl give the bouncer $100.00 she and her group went in before everyone that was waiting. Calmly called the bouncer out he said they were checking out the vip both and would be out in a minute. Then the bouncer came over and said we werent aloud in that night. Try again tomorrow. Hopefully the owner watches his reviews. And see whats really happening. The police were in front of building so there was no drama no yelling. Justed asked why we waited so long and people could just walk in.
I visited before the sad storm accured, Lots of Great Music and Nice crowds!
As Professional talent agent, I can agree that “ Jenny Lou” was the least impressive. Her look will never make it let alone her voice, she doesn’t stand a chance .
Great spot. Classic. Isually packed.
Tootsies is always my go to in Nashville! Every floor has a live band and a different feel. You will always have a good time at Tootsies!
Amazing bands and staff. Great time. Bucket list item in Nashville.
Very cool. Lots of history here! Lots of photo ops. Definitely reccomend going up to the roof!
Went down on Friday night had a great time. The band was amazing great bartender. Drinks and dancing great atmosphere.
Great place to visit. Awesome music.
Very nice atmosphere and local bands
Nice vibe and nice live bands!
A must when you visit Nashville!! Iconic
Staff and band were amazing and followed ALL the COVID guidelines.
Very cool bar. Has a unique atmosphere. The rooftop was very nice. The band playing during our visit was really good and the place just had a party feel to it. Very fun place to have some drinks and listen to music.
Good food good music and ice cold brews
Tootsies is my favorite bar to watch some of the best musicians perform while trying to find that one thing that puts them on the map. Stopped in yesterday at 1:00, got to see three different bands and didnt leave until 7:30. I Love This Place
First day back open. Rules but fun
So fun! This was our favorite stop down Broadway
Gather a few of your friends n go. Listen. Check out the vibe and then try and stump them with a song request. 4 join forces and pitch in $20 to completely change genres.
If youre only in Nashville for a night oh, this is the place to go. There are three floors of music and the performers are amazing. The top deck also provides a beautiful overview of the city. I spent hours here with my boyfriend after bar hopping to a couple of other places that were not as good. There its only alcohol here and no food at least at night. the mellow mushroom is a great place to stop into across the street for a quick bite.
Definitely a fun place to stop while visiting Nashville! There were live performances on each floor, and it was fun to walk in to see someone singing on the bar. We made our way to the top floor where it was less crowded (at least at that time - mid afternoon), grabbed a drink (they have some yummy mixed drinks), and enjoyed the music.
Memorabilia, good music, Good Times!
2 performance stages. Preferred the one in the back. Just a great authentic vibe in this bar. Quality performances for the couple of hours I spent there. Will definitely will be visiting again when Im back in Nashville.
Tootsie’s is your classic Nashville Honky Tonk. Fun place to drink and dance and hang out with people. I’d guess most people who come to Nashville and go out on Broadway end up at Tootsie’s at some point. I find that we usually end the night there and it always seems fitting so take that for what you will
Honestly, just walked in to get a feel for the place, so Ill offer no opinion on food or drink. But, it is a cool place based just on the vibe. Next time I plan to stay and enjoy a performance.
Had a blast here. A lot of people made comments about the bands asking for money for requests, but this is how they get paid. There is no cover charge. Beer is pricey, but to be expected. The band we saw had great chemistry and did their best to play requests of Lizzo to Bruno Mars. The energy is great inside and there is a lot of history. Missing it already!
What a fun place to visit! Great place to have a cocktail and dance to a band!
Nothing is cheap while visiting the tourist trap downtown area of Nashville however one cant put a price on drinking a cold one at some of the famous honky tonks. Expect no cover but double the cost of what one would normally pay for drinks. Bring plenty of cash these bands get paid with tips, help the up coming chase their dreams.
Awsome experience. Went on a Saturday Night and it was packed. Would like to go back when its not so crowded. Tootsies Orchid Lounge is definitely a *MUST* when in Nashville, TN!
SUCH a cool bar. Every level had a different performer and I truly loved them all. My favorite was the upstairs area because the band playing was KILLING IT. They played country songs and rock songs and did such a fun versatile variety. They were just really enjoying themselves which was fun to watch.
Better service the second time around!!
Best live music of our trip!
Great old time bar. Live music all day. Worn bar and floors that were soaked with music.
The music was amazing! We went to see Jake (sorry, I didnt catch his last name but he plays on Fridays and Saturdays) who has quite the local following! Beers were cold, people were friendly, bathrooms were clean and the place was packed!
Unique atmosphere. We enjoyed the live music and the beer selection. Although it was quite a short set
Tootsies is one of my favorite places to hang out on Broadway in Nashville. The music and vibe is totally entertaining and with multiple floors you cant miss having a great time. The servers love to make sure you get your drink. Some times there is a line to get in but everyone is there to have a great time!
My buddy went to the bathroom and a gentleman came to clear the empty bottles and innocently took a full beer. When we told the bartender, she acted like we were trying to get a free beer and wanted us to point out the guy who did it. When we said are you serious she had the nerve to ask is if we ever been to a bar before. We felt awful for the guy we had to point out for he tried to pay for our beer. They charge $6 for a beer, Im sure it wouldnt of been a problem to say Im sorry sir and gave my buddy a new beer. Im sure she could tell that 2 older gentleman went there to try steal 1 beer, especially after we bought like 6 beers previously. This was our first night in town and will be here for a week. Even though there was a really good band, we more than likely wont be returning to this establishment.
Love the history and the bar. But let’s face it...when they r charging $42 for a bucket of beer they are taking advantage of the consumer. Sad. But I guess greed rules the world. For sure you can feel the history when you walk in the bar and you feel as broke as some of the old singers they were trying to make it when you walk out
This place is amazing. Great service and multiple floors with different artist performing. Staff is friendly and the crowd is diverse. Would definitely go back.
I stepped back in time. Sat down and felt the history of so many great performances.
Cozy, historic and just fun.. This really doesnt need my review, but a MUST stop. Sadly many of the old photos are subject to aging and not being protected properly. But just to be part of Country music and Blues..
This was one of the best finds in Tennessee. My nephew had been here before and said it was a must to check out. Im So glad we did. The history and live music were incredible!!
Historic bar with wall to wall people on all levels. Great music on every floor! Got to experience it!
Very cool bar. The ambience is awesome and the bands are great!
We had a wonderful time here listening to two different bands that both integrated the audience to choose songs as well as play some of their favorites. The wait staff was incredible and had next to no wait time for drinks. Thank you for the wonderful experience in Nashville.
Great place even with social distancing measures in place! Was fun to be able to interact with the band more given the smaller crowds as things reopen
It was packed with more people that could fit. Drink was good. Got the pop for free with a drink which was nice. Music was way worse than i thought it would be. Tried to go back next day but music was still no good.
Historical landmark worth visiting. The old country greats would slip across the street get a shot then back onto the stage of the Ryman. We closed this place down one night. We had an awesome time dancing and listening to the live bands.
Fun and great place to go once in Nashville! Different love bands in each floor fast service at the bar and very friendly. Had a great time. Highly recommend it!
Historic location that everyone should visit at least once
