Reopened after extensive repairs. Still a lot of stairs lol. Recommend going on a weekday. Less traffic but there is an additional parking lot for overflow. Connects to a lot of good paved and dirt trails in Percy Warner Park.

A must see if you are visiting Nashville or just moved here! The walked up the stairs is a long one but the history here at this place brings each step to life! With spring finally here, you won’t be disappointed

My sister and I used to be driven to the top of the steps by our parents after church. We would get out of the car at the top, and as our parents would drive back down to the flagpole, my sister and I would run down those steps like crazy to see if we could beat the car. What fun that was back around 1939 and 1940s. Highlight of the weekend. And I have many other wonderful memories of the park, the riding stables, the golf course, the steeple chase, and every single road that I knew by heart, that I used to ride, twenty years or more ago on my motorbike.

This is one of our favorite parks, and the stairs are a favorite part of the park. Of open green area to play, and the stairs are picturesque. It is popular among dog walkers and trail hikers, as the stairs lead to multiple simple/flat hikes on dirt trails. The stone stairs get a little slick in the rain, and we have been there when there is a stream of people walking/jogging the stairs. The area is well landscaped open to all.

An iconic landmark for Nashville natives and visitors alike! A frequent backdrop for engagement, prom, and family photos, unspoiled, save for the frequent runners looking to train hard and scratch that masochistic itch. The top is accessible via a loop road, so folks of all abilities can partake of the boulevard and skyline views atop the stairs. No excuses, this is must see!

Have you ever run a bunch of stairs before? Yeah it is kind of like that except for there are other people there watching you look like an idiot running up and down stairs as you try not to roll your ankle on the uneven rocks and cement. At least there are a few trails and a place to stop to use the restroom which is almost never open... but get your run/job on, though.
