Surrounded by a gorgeous private neighborhood, this place is really cool to discover. The whole battle story, generals orders, and real photos of the armies are up on the display board. Just watch out for the cactus as youre walking around.
An essential stop on a tour of the Battle of Nashville. Was one of 5 redoubts constructed by the Confederates in the battle. There is plenty of historical signage and photos that provide an excellent overview of the significance and history of the site. Everything is in good condition and clean. Only problem is parking, of which there is none. Either pull over on the side of the road or park somewhere else and walk. Site is super cool and informative.
Love history? Love the civil war? A hidden gem that is worth the effort to find
We enjoyed the site and commend those who preserve it. The historical placard was helpful in understanding the significance of the small site.
The grass was so tall we couldn’t even walk in the area. Very unkept. So sad that Nashville can’t preserve this history.
Took a group of kiddos to do a geocache. Fun little spot you wouldnt expect to find here.
Neat historical monument. Interesting to see the twist that the South puts on the history books. Area could use a little TLC.
Odd little memorial- Ive seen better kept monuments to way lesser events. Though Im glad it exists its so strange to see it in the middle of a development.
This is a great little piece of history. The only complaint I have is the flag on the pole is in tatters and need to be replaced.
Great
