Get to this museum as fast as you can its a hidden gem .not a lot of signage outside ..it is upstairs above the johnny cash museum. So many important things to see..and read and watch. Well worth the price. Employee was very nice. I went Saturday oct 17. Will return on my next visit.
Im giving the museum 5 stars, even though I have yet to visit it, and visit it someday most definitely. The museum dedicates itself honoring the all-too-short life and career of my #1 Favorite Singer of all Time, and Patsy Cline has been such for/to me since 86, when I first saw Sweet Dreams; Jessica Lange is my #1 Favorite Actress ever! So, perfection! And playing Patsy remains one of Jessicas favorite parts to this day; Ive viewed via the museums website a display regarding the film, with the costumes Jessica wore. I WILL see this museum. As Patsy sings, I know that Someday....
Must see for Patsy fans like me! We sang along with her all the way through the museum. To see up close some of her personal stuff was the best, especially lyrics written in her own handwriting. Loved this more than I can say.
Definitely worth a visit if you are a Pasty fan,or even if you arent familiar with her. Small collection but very cute with a lot of attention to detail and personal belongings. Perhaps some might find the price high considering the size but I would still recommend. Well delivered info with personal touches. A lot of love had gone into it and that comes across.
Really shows what a lovely, humble person she was. Loved that Beverly DAngelo narrated the short film which was very well done.
Absolutely the best place I seen so far
Very neat to see some of her belongings and learn her history
I learned so much from this museum. There was so much of Ms Patsy inside. To see some of her belongings was priceless. You wont regret it.The gift shop has so many beautiful things and at an affordable price. You have to go see for yourself. Its an amazing place for an amazing woman.
Very personal and wonderful look at the life of Patsy Cline. Her life timeline was very interesting and felt like I learned more about her as a person. I loved reading all her history and how her Momma (the seamstress) raised her. She was a pioneer for music and women working.Love her music and the layout of the museum. I loved Beverly DeAngelos video recapping her history about Patsy in Coal Miners Daughter. I would definitely recommend stopping if you love Patsy Cline. Please VISIT my PHOTOS as they are not all showing in REVIEWS
Patsy Cline Museum is WONDERFUL. Friendly staff, amazing personal items of Patsys. Small museum but MIGHTY!! What an amazing Patsy. RIP.
Although the museum is relatively small, they had done such a good job putting together her successful carrier, as a wife, mom and artist. I was impressed by all the information, the authenticity of her personal belongings, furniture they gathered for our delight.
Overpriced and has very little memorabilia. Unbelievable they get away with it! I think it cost so much because they know you wont be back for a second visit! Staff is nice but they should let people know the elevator has to be cleared by staff going up. The best thing about it is the video they put together but not worth $20!
Of the various sights in Nashville, this is probably the most disappointing. First, its pretty small, about the size of an apartment. Second, unlike the Johnny Cash Museum, you either have to be old enough to remember Patsy Cline or have a special connection to her. Many people under fifty just do not. Third, there just isnt that much material, especially compared to Johnny Cash, as she died at the age of thirty.Truth be told, there are female stars that would have been a better choice for such a museum: Dolly Parton, Reba, or Loretta Lynn all come to mind. Unless youre a particularly big fan of Cline and her work, I would recommend passing on this museum.
You must go. To was so beautiful to see her personal belonging and her documentary. my daughter always heard me singing her song and now they can appreciate her work. August 3, 2019.
This was well worth the time and money. Enjoyed every minute
Wonderful experience especially if your a fan like me!
Darling little museum with wonderful attention to detail. You could spend a little or a lot of time here, but I recommend taking time to explore the depth of layers that are offered. I came out with a greater knowledge of Patsys sweet and tragic life.
This is a hidden gem. Patsy Cline was a wonderful person and it was great to learn her life story. The museum is wonderfully curated.
Our party of four, Patsy Kline fans from Australia thoroughly enjoyed our visit of the museum full of personal items from Patsy’s life and career. The items, from Patsy’s stage dresses to her dining room furniture, collection of salt and pepper shakers and fan letters were very well presented. It is not an overwhelming collection and can be seen in an hour. The staff at the museum were very welcoming and professional. Patsy’s daughter also makes regular visits to autograph photos of her Mum for fans and collectors alike. Well worth the visit when in Nashville.
Very tasteful, not touristy you can tell it is intended as a memorial to her life, not only the incomparable music but of her struggles, and of her love of her family! Great job!
Hand written lyrics and letters.Correspondence from record companies. The pay stub from her first performance at the Grand Ole Opry. The original dining room set and furniture from the rec room of her Dream House.Numerous outfits designed by Patsy and made by her mother. Amongst others. Not to mention a number of the most iconic musical instruments in American musical history. The floorplan is nicely laid out. So as to make it easy to follow the storyline that was, and is, the impact Patsy made on American, and world for that matter, musical and cultural history.I could not recommend the Patsy Cline Museum more highly!
Well worth the visit. Not crowded. Quality display. Moving experience.
Loved the memorabilia, pictures, music, details of her life, actual outfits she wore, items from her house, short film about her life, gift shop.....everything was great!
Great little museum with an intimate physical and digital look at the one and only, Patsy Cline. Many items donated by her late husband. Playing “Crazy” on a jukebox loop gets pretty old though.
Great Museum and very interesting. Very well told story of a short life.
Great for any Patsy fan, it has a lot of cool memorabilia and pictures. We went here after visiting the Johnny Cash Museum on the first level, and I have to agree with another reviewer about price. It cost the same to get into both museums, but the Cash museum was about 3 times the size. I enjoyed it because Im a huge Patsy Cline fan, but for the casual fan I think the price will discourage them. But, all in all, very well presented and she deserves a place like this to tell her story.
I loved everything in this Museum! There are so many of her personal belongings all the way to her watch she was wearing that they found after her plane crash..and her personal letters and lyrics she wrote and edited for a few of her songs. Patsy Cline Museum will make you feel like you knew her and she invited you into her home! The staff was very warm and helpful! I plan to go again soon!
I loved everything about this! I am a huge fan of Patsy Cline. I really enjoyed how the museum is set up. It tells her story. I was even lucky enough to visit when her daughter, Julie, was there. Patsy fans need to visit!
This museum was amazing! I love the complete experience. I really felt like I was experiencing Patsys life!
This place was really interesting, well laid out and I learned a lot about the life and career of Patsy Cline! I was aware of her before visiting but really knew nothing about her. My parents are big big fans and it was high on their list to visit here! If you are a Patsy Cline fan I would recommend it 100%! Her life story is explained via exhibits as well as her rise to stardom and her tragic death.
Interesting, but I was expecting more. I was hoping for more videos, but I guess not much was around in the late 50sand early 60s. At $18, a little pricey
It was awesome!!!
Loved her, loved the museum. Entire rooms of her home were there along with costumes. Great gift shop with lots of CDs. Bought two I didnt have. Left very happy.
Small but very interesting museum
Very interesting and great display.
Very simple but effective display of her short life & artifacts.
Love Patsy Cline and LOVED the whole museum!
Complete history with music readily available. Beware of Nashville parking fees. Cheaper to take Lyft or Uber.
I love Patsy!!! The museum shows a lot and shows well!!! Would recommend if your in Nashville!!!
I was super disappointed about the price of the admission. So based on what we had seen in the Johnny Cash Museum we decided not to go in because the price certainly wasnt worth it.
Cool place. Very well done. Lots of family members running the place too which was really neat.
Kinda hard to find (once we got in the building we had to ask how to get up to the Patst Cline musuem, the ground level is the Johnny Cash museum), but they had some great stuff in there and the videos and write ups were nice too. My mom loved it!!
As a huge fan, really interesting facts and items
Good food and service.
The Patsy Cline museum was very interesting with friendly and knowledgeable staff.Patsy Cline accomplished a lot in her short lifetime and this museum does a great job at telling her story.
Beautiful museum with tribute to singer gone too soon. Personal moment is and great setup.
Nice time to learn and see all about Patsy Cline. It took us just over an hour to see and do most of it.
Very neat....love her!
We enjoyed this museum very much. Its beautifully designed, small but compelling. Our only objection is the entrance fee, $18.95 per person. We pretty much had the museum to ourselves, as I can imagine for some, that is too high. On the floor below is the equally lovely Johhny Cash museum; same entrance fee. Had each museum been around $12.00, we would have visited both. As it is, we enjoyed but left feeling a bit gauged pricewise. It is not very big. The person selling tickets stated they plan to expand. Why not reduce the price until there is more to see?
Small pricey museum with everything you wanted to know about the country singer.
Why do you not have someone answering the phone? Leave a voicemail? Its 2017 - hire someone to be your front desk person.
Marginally interesting. Over priced
You will see all the history of Patsy Cline could stop in Nashville
Cool but short
Loved learning about her life
