We visited Nashville for my boyfriends birthday with a large group of 14 people. Initially we planned on going to Jack Daniels, but it was a bit too far for our group. I couldnt have picked a better place. Everything was very organized, even with such a large group, and our tour guide was friendly and informative. The history of how this distillery came to be was absolutely fascinating. It concluded of course with a tasting, and everyone in our group bought a bottle to take home. I would highly recommend the Louisas coffee liqueur.

Really enjoyed our whiskey tasting here and found that we could actually buy their whiskey at stores back home- this exciting to us as we might never have tried their whiskey untill we did the tastings today. The young man that was in charge of the tastings was informative and entertaining and we had a great time talking w the other patrons about the delicious whiskeys and other conversation topics!!! A great time was had by all.

If you like Bourbon then this tour is a must while in Nashville! Its easy to find being in the city and just on the north side of i40. They are doing limited seating and masks are required right now but on-line reservations are simple to do to ensure a spot at the bar. When you walk in the door its a simple check-in and then some comfortable seats while you wait for your tour to begin. Our tour came with a welcome drink, gingerbeer/lemonade/whiskey, tasty! We had Harry as our guide today. He was full of energy and entertaining! He made it fun while learning the history of the Nelson brothers family and the distillery in general. He teaches you the proper way to taste whiskey then walked us through 4 samples of their whiskey and bourbons. After the tour is over there is a gift shop where you can buy the whiskey or bourbons that you liked along with logo shirts, hoodies, wooden Christmas ornaments...and other souvenirs. The ladys in the shop were very help and patient as I was figuring out what all I wanted. Overall a great experience, would recommend this to anyone looking for a distillery to visit.

Great tour led by a very knowledgeable employee. My wife and I enjoyed a chance to hear about the history of the distillery and family as well as get a chance to step out on the production floor and into the barrel house. As a big bourbon fan, I found it interesting to learn about the differences between Tennessee whiskey and bourbon. The tour also included a tasting of the Tennessee whiskey (which I thought was an excellent product so I even bought a bottle), a few Belle Meade bourbons, and a liquor. Great stop if youre in Nashville and want to experience a distillery without leaving town!

What a cool little spot. The tasting guide was great, well practiced with a crowd. I enjoyed everything is tasted and picked up the limited edition 2-yr whiskey, great story. And that pecan liquor... Cant wait to start doing something fancy with that. As this place grows in popularity I can see that theyll likely need a bigger space soon. Not a lot of room for the weekend crowds.

Great tour and tasting experience. You can learn a lot of info about bourbon and whiskey online morning videos, but being at the distillery and hearing the story behind the products and the history is awesome.Chris was a great tour guide and answered questions that we had during the tour, he knows his stuff. Great at explaining the history of the distillery. Tasting afterwards is worth the price of the tour. Prices for bottles are less here than in stores around the area, from what weve seen in the area.

My friend and I had a blast on the quick tasting and tour. This is actually the first time I’ve ever bothered with a review of any establishment - food, entertainment, or otherwise. We had a great time touring this distillery on August 6th, 2019. Tour was educational, interesting, and very tasty. Charles Nelson and his wife Louisa are an amazing historical couple and my family (including two teenagers) enjoyed learning of their accomplishments- especially Louisa. Our host, Kyle, was informative and entertaining while fervently displaying his passion towards the distillery’s products. We greatly enjoyed the tour and ended up with several items to go.

This distillery was BY FAR my favorite experience from visiting Nashville. If you are in the Nashville area or passing through and are a fan of whiskey, give this place a try!!!I have been to dozens or brewery and and distillery tours, and I will say, this place was the most unique. The tour guide was SO DETAILED and knowledgeable behind the family history. I really wish I remembered her name, she was super nice!Id say the tour itself it about 40 minutes-ish long. If I remember correctly, it was $5 for each of us but that was 2 years ago so the prices might have gone up. Honestly though, if it was $10 each it would still be well worth the price! At the end up the tour, we sampled 5 or 6 different whiskey (1 of them being clear), and they definitely werent shy about the amounts!!!If I visit Nashville again, I definitely will be paying a visit to this place again!!!

A bit more of a commercial distillery, but with that comes more of a story. Lots of history on this tour and Daniel was one of the best tour guides around. I suggest you start the tour with an Old Fashioned, and why not you’re it’s a distillery tour. The sampling is well organized and includes a lesson in how to correctly sample whiskey.

We toured Nelson’s on Fri 4/19 and had the pleasure of having Ben as our tour guide. He was fantastic! Tour was full of such interesting history and he made it comical too which the crowd enjoyed. After learning about Charles Nelson and his wife and family, and their interesting journey, you get to see the production facility and where the barrels are stored. After that portion of the tour you get to the best part.... the tasting! During the tasting we learned some useful tips for how to taste and even smell whiskey. The tour was amazing and we will definitely revisit Nelson’s again next time we’re in Nashville. Request Ben as your tour guide and you won’t be disappointed!
