Peaceful, safe, ducks and fishing. I enjoy walking my dog there.
Honestly a nice area to walk and view a large variety of birds, that is unless your an angler :) Wilson springs has lots of little spots along its ponds for individuals, friends, or families to cast a line. Weve seen/caught mostly trout, but there are also blue gills, bass, and perch? Heck we are pretty sure we saw a koi, oh and two nefariously large lunkers floating around. Our little fisherman had a blast roaming the trails, seeing all the ducks and geese, while enjoying casting a line in one of the many fishing spots.
Took some family pic there. Its pretty gorgeous.
Great place to come for a walk and fish. However, I am unaware of what kind of wild cats are there. I happened to see what looked like a bobcat near a pond one time I went. At first glance it seemed like a cat but it was the size of a full grown dog. This time around I was walking on one of the dirt paths and ready to fish when I happened to hear a bush move and a loud growl that sounded like a bobcat. Stay safe out there.
I’ve lived across the street from here my whole life. It’s fun to walk and fish it. But, I just wanted to mention that we went down there for no longer than 20 minutes and my dog was covered in ticks! She has a flea and tick collar too. So, enjoy it but be aware with your dogs!
A good walk around the ponds....Abundance of duck & geese....Water seemed full of vegetation.....
Great place for walks w/ kids& pets(: & fishhhh
This is a place that I have often frequently visited from childhood. I remember free fishing days way back then and they still go on today. Idaho Fish and Game regularly stocks these ponds and its great to pass on mentorship to your children and grandchildren. The wildlife is abundant as far as geese and mud ducks go but they are so interesting to watch as a intermingle among themselves for nesting rights. The people that walk down the pathways always seem nice and easy going I am a fun-loving go happy-go-lucky guy and its nice to talk to strangers. You can see the sunset to the West if you stay long enough. Most of the time theyre breathtaking. The hours are not 24 but you can go there from sunup to sundown do you solemnly. This is a great place to catch some dinner or just passed sometime. I am really glad my Anglers license fees go in part to keep this community alive. If you dont like fishing at least you can walk around the pathways and its dog friendly child friendly wheelchair friendly and theres a couple of bathrooms located on opposite ends. One thing I do is pick up other peoples trash on my way in or out just to keep this place beautiful. And for those of you that have been here for a while youll notice new upgrades with Crossing Bridges and pathways and its really nice.
I love it here, with the amount of wildlife it makes it amazing, especially for me as a photographer. But theres one huge downfall. Ticks. My dad and i went there yesterday (21 April 2020) and i came home with 3 ticks on me. My dad said last time he went, he came home with ticks as well. If there werent ticks, i would give 5 stars
Paved and unpaved trails. Beautiful, calming scenery.
Love going and seeing and hearing the geese and ducks.
Great place to walk fish and watch wildlife!!
A great little nature refuge nestled in the outskirts of development. A nice paved trail is perfect for walking your dog. (Bring a bag, none are provided). Youll see a lot of ducks and anglers. Theres all kinds of fishing year round. In warmer months youll hear and see all kinds of birds.
Get place great trails lots of hungry ducks
Awesome!!! Love it !! Cought some trout!! Had fish for dinner THANK YOU !! To all who is responsible you guys ROCK!!
Great place to fish and just enjoy the serenity
I do not recommend this pond they don’t take care of it and trees everywhere at the bass pond. You can not cast anywhere at the bass pond because they don’t take care of it. Really bad experience
Quiet..peaceful, always love seeing ducks
Nice place to just chill
Fun place for family fishing
Fishing was good... But we didnt see or catch any fish.
Nice place to go fish and relax. Always clean!
Great community space for walking bird watching, fishing, and relaxing. Ive had more success fishing here than any other community pond.
Dirty, ponds not stocked well, trash everywhere.
Great place to go fishing for rainbow trout. Very peaceful.
Great for family time, pictures and small get together
Great place to fish, walk, and enjoy the view!
Nice area quite a few people
This has been lucky for us to fish... last trip 4 fish. Next trip was 2 fish. A man driving by gave tips on catching the fish. Very very nice. Hurrah !! Fresh fish tonight for dinner. Yum.
Know fish in the pond
Went there all the time with my father, now that he has passed i go for the memories
Plenty of fish. Great place to take your kids.
Beautiful natural settings and nice fishing at well. Great place for quiet walks among the wildlife.
Even though they claim to stock it weekly I have only seen smaller fish that cant even take the bait. They nibble around the hook even with smaller hook sizes. Think these fish have learned about us and our fishing ways. Went three days in a row at different times in the day and nothing is catching. Think its time to hit the actual lakes and rivers.
Great fishing, great scenery . Very nice people and a good atmosphere for individual fishers, hikers, dog walkers and most importantly the family version of all the above.... great for a quick family outing or a long strategic fishing expedition in the trophy pond . I just wish the algae wasnt so bad
Nice place will be going again
Always beautiful and lots of lovely things to see. They have several garbage receptacles so its clean when people use them. The trails give you a great way to stretch your legs.
Amazing place to fish. They stock the ponds with trout and they are real easy to catch. So if your taking a little one, look for an eddy in the water, cast out to it, and they will have a heck of a time.
No bites
Its a good quiet place to watch birds and you can fish there its stocked with trout
My daughters love walking the path and chasing the ducks. Fun place to to enjoy the outdoors but still be close to home
Theres Soo many Mosquitos, I recommend bringing mosquito spray. But other than thats its a good fishing/Walking area.
Very nice place to go for a walk and enjoy the wildlife. Bring a lunch and sit down and relax for a bit.The water is clear and its never too busy except on holidays. Worth stopping by for a quick visit.Fishing is hit and miss but there are some nice ones to be caught.
Beautiful landscaping
What an awesome trail along a few ponds. Great for a stroll with wide paved paths and beautiful long grasses and majestic trees. This is an awesome fishing hole or fun place for the kiddos to see ducks.
Has a lot of potential but very dirty and unkempt
Great to see birds and nature. I was surprised at how thick the moss was in the water this early in the year. ( Before official start of spring).
Really love it here! Great for walking my Lab on some nice trails. Beautiful waterfowl and birds. Will be going fishing soon! I highly-recommend Wilson Pond to take the family fishing.
Its an amazing place, but shame on the ones responsible for building houses so close to the reserve. Its an eye sore. Im shocked that people would be okay with living so close to wild animals. I have seen an abundance of house cats, in the natural habitat of wildlife. Its a shame. I cant even capture a photo, without a house in the background. Once upon a time, it was a pristince place to hangout with nature. Fish hooks and line, trash, and most importantly DOG POOP! Yuck!!!!!! It smells like feces.
Its a grate place to hike with friends and family but also a place to fish.
Very peaceful and clean. Lots of wildlife to sit and watch interact with one another. People are respectful and maintain a clean environment, however if someone leaves trash everyone else will pick it up to help keep it clean. Great fishing as well.
Fully stocked everytime we come
Fun place! Tons of ducks. Grab a map on line. It will help a little, although it was a little confusing too. Fishing is big there! Nice chill walk with my boy.
It used to be a fantastic place for a walk or run, a place to bring the kids to see the birds without having to drive too far. Now most of the farmland surrounding it is all torn up and subdivisions are pushed right up to the edge. Hard to get a photo without some cookie cutter house in the background. You no longer feel like you are experiencing nature, rather you feel your in a city park slowly being choked of its value for the short term gain of anonymous individuals. It really is quite tragic but us pair for the course these days in Canyon County.
Kids love fishing there
I love taking my dog on walks around the ponds. Well maintained trails and lots of great little places to step off and fish. Plenty of parking available.
Fun and closer but so much moss towards the end of the summer
Took grandsons and they had a great time. Had to leave early cause it was quite cold
Lovely space and delightful multi-use. Not sure if canoeing or kayaking is allowed but that would be wonderful.
Fishing has been bad.. too much trash and pond scum
Great for fishing or a walk, few people, very quiet and relaxing
Ive been coming to these ponds to fish since I was three. Ive watched the trees grow up and jerked more fish out of the water here than you can shake a stick at. Its got a barbless pond and a canal on top of the regular ponds, docks to fish off of and two bathrooms, one at the front by the parking lot and one around the back side of the ponds. Its a great place to bring the family and also good for just walking the dog or bird watching. They do a kids fishing day here where anyone can fish even if you dont have a licence and they host races too. Its not super fancy but they restock fish about once a month and Ive always had a good time.
Nice place to go for a nature walk and some fishing. Restrooms were clean.
Absolutely love this place we come and walk or fish multiple times a week. My husband is recovering from a broken leg and is in a wheelchair the path is smooth and a easy push for me and ride for him.
Caught 4 large ranbow trout on free fishing day. One pond has a large white and orange coy in it.
Lots of bike/walking path. My husband loves fishing here and my toddler loves to feed the ducks.
Lots if trash all over and the fishing is horrible. There is so much foot traffic in and out of this place its unbelieveable.
Love this place, amazing views and decent fishing.
Fun place to take a walk or go fishing!
My 6 year old daughters favorite place in town to go fishing
Nice place to walk along the paths enjoy the natural beauty. Do a little fishing and you might just find a Caldwell rocks painted rock
This is a great place to catch trout with the family. The South pond seems very productive when the weeds are not present and trout can easily be taken on rooster tails and Rapalas
Good place to relax. Lots of waterfowl.
Great place to fish not far from home. My 2 year old loved it!
Lots of friendly ducks and geese that will walk right up to you beautiful place
I like comming here to walk the dog. But fish & game could put at least one trash can out for dog poo. There are way too many people not picking up after their dogs and walking them off leash.
Solitude, leave your loud ass rug rats at home and enjoy the peace with the rest of us.
Not many fish biting but OK nice placeI noticed that the security camera on top of the bathroom was broke
I loved it here! Its a nice place.
Spent a great morning fishing, then I enjoyed a wonderful walk throughout the area and other ponds.
Thats not bad if you want somewhere nice to walk for exercise
Nice place to go for a walk and relax
Great place to take the kids.
Very quiet, and peaceful fishing spot. You feel very secluded, but your only 3 miles from Wal-Mart.
Fishing with power bait, very good in the winter.
Good place nice people, had a unlucky time fishing, but will come out some other time and try and rip lip
