From a swimming perspective: swimmers beware. During the second half of the summer, the bacteria counts are too high for safe swimming. We went to check out the swimming area and found the water to be murky and contains algae even in late May before it gets too hot. I wouldnt recommend swimming here. Its a lovely place for pictures or perhaps boating though.

The duck crossing in the middle of the lake is weird. And the boat launches are massively crowded. But once you are on the water...not terrible.

I love the sunsets. And the terrain for My daily walk with my 50 lb pack.

Personally I think it is a nice place. Clean and accessible boats docks. Clean restrooms. Great side park to eat and picnic. A folfing area. Then swimming area was nice. Blocked off so kids and people can swim safely. Can also see the fish swimming around. Water was decently clear. 4 stars because this is fed by the runoff and surrounding irrigation i am sure. Probably not the cleanest water but for a quick dip and some family fun I think its legit.

Love to cruise by the lake. I guess the docks come out during the winter time, but youre still allowed to fish.

The lake and the wild life is always Beautiful. My favorite part of where I live is Lake Lowell.

Another little jewel you should discover if you havent. I really enjoy the long throw over the trail and up the side of the hill.

Nice little park with a decently challenging disc golf course. If you play the course I recommend checking out UDisc for the layout as it isnt very intuitive.

I took my boat and kids to the lake. The police that were checking boats let me on the water even though I was waiting on the registration in the mail. Thanks to that officer she was awesome 6hankd my kids had a blast

This location was chosen for a candlelight vigil for my daughter who passed away. It was a beautiful place for her closest friends together and speak of all the good times that they had at at this this location.we had a large area to gather and a couple picnic tables to display pics. The park is clean of trash. The grass was cared for and the children ran and rolled around in this plush green grass.my daughter had red hair and many refer to her as red. We let go of several red balloons there was areas with open space to do so.However there were some young people not associated with our gathering doing cookies in the parking lot.a couple individuals were concerned about their vehicles. They came close to hitting them. It was a slight damper. This was the single solid thing that wasnt positive.

Love this place ! Not a big swimming area but the people are awesome. Watching the sunset and swimming around is a blast. Pet and family friendly.

I came all this course not expecting anything really very good course started off easy that I beginning s just amazing this amazing shot try to test your level of a shot its good for excessive practice when you trying to keep you get shot straight and flat seven 8 and 9 verys nice long flat land I lost disc on number 5 and 8 so overall I came out with about plus one but I mean Las Vegas Im really disappointed myself really

Cant take dogs in water or swim because water is hazardous - total bummer. I was looking forward to going in.

Everyone says not to swim in the water or eat the fish but i see people in the water and people fishing... very confusing time.

I love lake lowell, I probably go 15 to 20 times a year.

Itd be great if them to leave a dock or two in the water year-round. Other than that it is a truly enjoyable place to visit, any of the locations around the lake are.

We went to the park for the first time. It was a lovely day.. Not too hot. We took a little nap in the shade under a tree. It was so peaceful with only a few people there on a Monday. We will definitely come again.

Nice park across the road from the W boat dock at Lake Lowell. This park has a story trail, frisbee golf course, public restrooms, and plenty of BBQ stands. Its a great spot for a picnic!

Lake Lowell park is a nice place for a picnic, and a great way to relax. We enjoyed walking around the path around the lake. Watching the people play in the water especially the kids was a treat. Everyone was having a great time.

The water was murky and there where fist size, and bigger, rocks instead of sand or dirt which makes it hard for younger kids to walk around on or to set a camping chair.

Just like too relax here...!!

Goof off in the park or walk accross the dam. Launch a boat, go to restroom. Catch a fish. Daydream under the big sky.

Think I think is the very beautiful Lake unfortunately that is too much population in the area for the size of water there is. I think they do a good job of keeping it clean and organized as best they can. So be prepared to wait in line if you have a boat and personally I wouldnt swim in the dirty water there

Great fishing. Pretty crowded usually from May-September. Gets blue algae every summer several times a year but otherwise fun. Police at least 2 always on site.

Was peaceful and clean.

The only grievance I have with Lake Lowell is that the water gets so gross that I dont like swimming in it. But it is undeniably beautiful and serene. Ive gotten some amazing pictures here, and its a good place to be alone and collect your thoughts, you know?

Well maintained and inviting park with the lake setting. Nice boat ramp available. Swimming in the lake is possible until the water gets warmer in the summer and the algie blooms. No lifeguards on duty.

Great place to take the kids for a swim and have a picnic. Nice nature trail so you can take long walks and bird watch, walk across the dam for fantastic views. Lots to do around the refuge, so many animals to look at. You can boat, fish from the bank or a boat, paddle board, ski, jet ski and so much more. It also has great boat launches and docks. Its not to far to get either.

Such a big, grassy park to take your pup for a walk or just yourself. Beautiful lake and friendly folks. Love it!

Been visiting this side of the lake for 10 years now. Brings me much peace and comfort. Water was pretty high a few weeks ago but that didnt stop me from enjoying the water. Seems to be mostly clean each time i visit. Sheriff is always near by, so i dont mind visiting alone. Plenty of rocks to throw.

Great boat ramp. Clean very convenient. Canyon county sheriff was on site checking boats for safety equipment. It might take 5 minutes but it could save a life .

Great place to relax. Only reason it didnt get 5 stars is the late summer algae bloom, that closes the water to swimming.

Its a very nice park, next to a boat ramp and docks. Nice place to sit, enjoy nature, fish and boating. If fishing is your thing, earthworms are the best bait here. I wouldnt however, recommend swimming.

This park, and parking lot was built for an Idaho 30 years ago. With todays population influx, and all the yip yaps coming and going, I will never go back there again. The county of Canyon needs to do serious work this entire Lake. It is no longer a good bass fishing destination. Filled with out-of-state people with $100,000 boats made just to make wakes and piss other people off. Nowhere to park. Absolute nightmare. Highly not recommended

Not too busy. There is plenty of room available at the park & on the lake & docks. If you want less people there are several ramps around the lake.

There was poo poo all over the toilet

The water is not looking so good it is green ️. The boating is great and fishing fun.

I wish there was more areas for getting in the water here, but otherwise this is where we dock the boat, it suffices, wish one of the two docks was not pushed so far off to one side, makes loading the boat a bit hard/awkward. Loaner life vest, typically are available at the dock in varying sizes.

Dont forget to stop and visit Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge learn about the DFNWR mission and all the wildlife and habitat it protects. Great children learning experience.

I have been swimming here since I was a kid. Ive gone fishing, barbecuing, and swimming here. Very sentimental and awesome for family.

Lake lowel is a very nice park close to home. Great place to fish, boat, picnic, hike, kayak or just have a nice picnic in one of their family friendly picnic areas

Such a beautiful park and lake! Granted, I wouldnt eat anything caught from Lake Lowell, it is fun to play in the water. Theres a legend that the lake covers a town. Its true, the legend is that there are still bodies in a few of the houses and they float once in a while. Lol, fun story for a fun place

Water is easy to get to doc space people actually respect the rules withers the no wake zone had a blast

Its a cozy little spot for family outings. However, the lake itself is very merky and rough. Watch the warnings, especially towards the end of season. If youre not careful you can get very ill.
