Had a great time, was a little difficult finding our way there but it was worth the time. Took my wife for a surprise Lighthouse Tour over the weekend while we were in the Grand Rapids area for training that my company sent me for. With Covid going on I chose to drive to the training from the St. Louis area. I asked her if she wanted to go along, Im so glad she did. Love you

You have to walk through the coast guard area to get to it, so don’t be confused when you park and you can’t see a clear path there. It’s really a serene place to visit. It is a beautiful sight!

What a great landmark and an important piece of Michigan nautical history. A beautiful area with an amazing landmark. I dont want to give away all the secrets, but if you are in 2 nautical boats or historic places its definitely a must-see! the guys are terrific they know everything about the history of the lighthouse the straight and the bay.

One of the best beaches Ive ever seen. Splendid. If they could have at least done something to on the South breakwater light - paints are peeling off, vandalism is noticeable. In short for a pretty place like that, they need to maintain that lighthouse since, it is one of the highlights of the place. The only reason I went to Muskegon is to see the lighthouse and it was a beautiful place and lighthouse in the breakwater definitely needs to be maintained.

Awesome sunset. Close to home, you can see 3 lighthouses. The waves were coming in twos, so that was neat to see.

See the White River light station on the hill then walk down to see the newer lighthouses on the channel. The older light station is a small museum and you can walk to the tower for a great view. It comes complete with a ghost story and a century of history. Very cute quaint place. We spent about an hour here and really loved it.

Nice area with pretty sites and paths to walk. Wish I had more time. Saw they were renting out jet skis which would have been fun on a beautiful day but was our last quick stop on our long drive home to philly.

Certainly was a beautiful view of Lake Michigan & an amazing sunset to watch. We were in search of a cozy place to watch the sunset this weekend and Grand Haven was a bit too crowded for us so we decided to head here instead. We saw a lot of reviews that mentioned this “sketchy walk” and we certainly found out. The cement is definitely crumbling along the pier while walking to the lighthouse. Some spots were so bad you had to single file line to safely keep walking. Gets a little narrow too at some spots but truthfully the aging gives it character.

Just opened to the public for lighthouse tours! Expect a $4 fee per adult, $2 children 11 and under; and a steep climb ending in a ladder to make it to the top. The view is amazing! The money goes to maintain this lighthouse and eventually fix up the other lighthouse for tours!
