Really nice little park in the middle of the city, down by the river. Lots of shade trees and ample parking. Great place to sit in the shade and listen to the river, watch some birds.

A retirement community manicured yards a street in the front and an ally in the back to everybodys carport and or garage refurbished part that is gorgeous and the Jordan River and the Riverwalk to look upon what more could you ask for

This is an excellent place for a walk, bicycle ride and just be one with nature.I would strongly recommend coming before the sun set the smell of the flowers are so soothing and enjoyable. You can even spot certain animals during this park and its trail. I just love it.

Nice park, the part I visited was in the small side, but is located on the bank of the Jordan River, which is a plus.

I love using this as the start of my runs because the bathrooms are usually always unlocked. Even in winter.

You can go there anytime and throw your pole in the water and catch you a channel cat but dont know it but theres a lot of channel can this River and they dont even have a clue you try fishing sometime and you can catch them world-renowned Channel cat anywhere from 5 to 20 lb amazing

We LOVE Winchester Park!!! The walking/running trail is PERFECT...with the beautiful Jordan River streaming along its edge and lush greenery all around in Springtime...!!! Today we even got to see a family of geese with their little goslings, making their way to the water!!! AND the playground is super fun for our kids!!!

Love this park and trails are amazing for hiking and biking. The smell of the flowers are so refreshing! It has a little playground for kids and let them run around. It is near the Jordan River and it has ducks. Great place to bring your dog(s) for a walk but please follow the rules and keep them on leash. Some dog owners arent following that simple rule. Other then that, I really enjoyed my time here. Park are cleaned and so is the restrooms. It is nice for a change that they keep a park clean.

4/17 Lawn looks freshly cut, bathrooms smelled clean and fully stocked. Hoping the area stays well kept up all summer long .

I think this is a really cool trail. I kinda wish they didnt pave it to give it more of a hiking feel. But! That being said, its absolutely GREAT for riding your bike.My missing star is more like a warning for people who have allergies, specifically to hay/alfalfa. My husband is very allergic and we had to get out of there PRONTO.All in all, had he not had allergies, it would a been a pleasant place to walk and bike in ;)

Poorly kept grounds with duck poop everywhere and so much algae in the water it was basically a swamp. We had a good time with the people we were with but the grounds were not well kept.

Love this park, good parking and location next to the Jordan parkway. Its easy to just hop out of your car and play on playground with kids or start exercising immediately on the trail.

A tranquil, lush haven, frequented by the seriously outdoorsy...AND a 27 lb catfish!

Beautiful area but definitely needs a bigger play area! It was very crowded and there were a lot of older kids playing on the equipment not letting the little ones go etc.

We frequent this park because of its access to Jordan Parkway Trail and it is shaded. It’s a great small park with a nice shelter and pond. Plus bathrooms!

Pleasant little park. Has a nice playground, a pond, and gathering place with shelter. Has immediate access to Jordan River parkway. Also has a lot of parking space.

Very basic playground. 3 slides. I was able to take my baby on all 3. My 5 year old loves going down all the slides. There is a bathroom. Also a pavilion. Its right next to a pond and the Jordan River Parkway trail. We often park here and walk on the parkway. Its always clean.

Small park but a great place to start riding the Jordan River Parkway Trail

It is a nice small park with big trees and plenty of shade. I like to take a rest break there on my bike ride on the Jordan River Parkway. Not crowded.

I usually ride my bike through this park. They have a good size pavilion. I see people fishing. Occasional wildlife. I have seen several kinds of birds on the river. Sometimes furry critters.In recent years, I have seen some mornings where someone was renting recumbent bikes. Some will start their canoe rides down the river here. I have seen high school running teams start here because there is a good size parking lot here.I do not know if they still do this, but about a decade ago there used to be an amature group of star gazers that would set up telescopes here a few times a year. Star party. Or in some cases, put a filter on the telescopes and have a sum party. Kids and adults are welcome to see the moon, comets, or Sun spots - depends on what the person is pointing to, and they will point to another object on request.A golf course across the river, and the bike trail (Jordan river parkway trail) links into a couple other trails. You can continuously ride from near Heber in provo canyon up to Ogden. And very few street level road passing except when you get to about 1800 south - but stoplights for pedestrian crossing at every road.It is a fairly small park and a small playground. I have not seen many larger playgrounds on this trail system. Though there is a grassy area near the pavilion to play at.

Lovely pavilion. My group reserved it and the bathrooms were open and clean. The only downfall Id say its the occasional draft of yucky smelling air from the water near by. It was very high today.

We love to walk to this park. Our grandson loves to climb and slide.

Nice little park with a perfect location. Quite neighborhood adjacent to the Jordan River Parkway. simple playground with a picnic area and BBQ. Next to a small pond. Nice place to take the kids or go for a stroll on the parkway.

This is a really nice area of the parkway. No homeless habitats like there are further north. It is next to a nice neighborhood, the parkway is smooth and mostly devoid of puncture vines. There is a pavilion adjacent to the playground, which provides some shade for sweaty kids. Everything in this park is new and well maintained.

As a biker, I find this place (Winchester park) to be excellent for family, bikers, runners etc. To take a breather.

My son thought this Park was boring and was disappointed. I agree. Maybe good for toddlers but my adventurous 4 and 7 year olds werent fans. It is close tho the Jordan River Parkway Trail.
