This historic, working farm is a peek into the not so distant past. Several places to view animals including horses, cows, donkeys, peacocks, chickens, rabbits and more. Lots of picnic tables spread out across the property to enjoy a snack or a meal. The old Icehouse and ponds are a special place to experience. You can milk a cow or take a tour of the lovely farmhouse. Very well kept paths take you from the main barn out beyond the creek and into a large nature area. So much to see that I will have to come back again to see it all. Clean, brightly lit bathrooms.

Such a great farm and park run by the county. There is a lot of things for kids and adults to see here. Depending on the time of year youll find a large selection of farm animals that kids can get close up to. The river can be a dangerous area when the canyon water runoff is high though. There are trails leading into the east part of the farm that make for a nice walk, just keep an eye out for the tractors and the cow train. They have a pretty nice collection of tractors from throughout the years and there are antique farm equipment throughout the area.

Great for kids. Its free and fun and there are lots of birds to feed. Its like a little zoo, a place where they farm food, a playground, and a history museum all in one. If your going during the day make sure to slap on a hat, sunscreen, and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. Hope enjoy your visit and have fun.

Lots to do here: farm animals to see and pet, playground, cool old buildings and equipment to see, beautiful scenery with nice trees and pond and creek, barn to host events/dances, snack and gift shop, friendly workers, cool wooden carvings in tree stumps, picnic areas. Most of it is free, they sell tickets for little kid train ride around the farm and hay rides. Great place to take the family. Great place for photographers. Great place to learn a bit about farming and have some fun.

Awesome experience for families. They have lots for kids to do, even if it’s just waking around and looking at the many interesting structures from yesteryear. There are several activities that cost money, such as a hay ride and milking a cow, but it’s not too expensive. Our girls love going down by the river and feeding the ducks. There are even a couple playgrounds - one for young toddlers and one for older kids that requires them to climb a ladder for the big slide - that are pretty cool.I would definitely recommend this to a friend with kid(s).

This is probably one of my favorite places to go! There are so many animals to look at and trails to walk on, youll never get bored exclamation the wagon rides are a lot of fun and worth the money. Things for kids to do and adults entertained! It is pretty dusty so be aware that when you go. Also if you go to hot day Id suggest bringing water sucks as often the kids I take are hungry from the Sun. Wheres the bathroom and a little gift shop. Would recommend going to the farm whether youre looking for animals or a nice walk or Trail to run on. Its very peaceful and walk out. Every employee Ive met is always very friendly! Also a great destination spot for a wedding ring or wedding.

Free farm to visit in the city. Enjoy the tractor or cow car rides for a small fee. Buy a treat at the mini store. Bring some raisins to feed the ducks. I love wheeler farm. The southern parking lot is great for when the farmers market is in season. Southern parking lot also has the playground and a large field for frisbee or football or anything like that. The northern parking lot is smaller but I prefer it because you can walk straight up the paths to the animals. Further past the animals is a nice set of paths that are great for walking. Weve seen snakes, squirrels, voles, foxes, red tailed hawks and during migration seasons there are a ton of unique birds flying through the farm. Great place to walk the dog. Love this place.

Wheeler Farm is a fun place for the whole family. There is a fun updated park that accommodates both the very young and older kids. Lots of picnic tables and grills to let the family grill master have their fun as well. I would come here as a kid and always loved to see the old farm equipment. Its neat that a lot of the same equipment is still here. Depending on the time of year, you can see blacksmiths working on projects.

I watched a wagon ride go by today by the farm animals, and this entitled woman on the ride was yelling super rudely at the driver, and made him stop the ride. The guy was super professional the whole time and didnt talk back to the lady or get visibly upset. His coworker came by to continue driving the rude, and the lady kept asking his name as if she wanted to report him. I noticed the guy tending to some horses a few minutes later, and asked if he was okay and why the lady was yelling at him. He was really professional, again, and had no hard feelings towards her, and admitted he got confused on what she was saying to him. The guys name was Charlie. So if you ever see him around the farm, hes so nice, and if Wheeler Farm management sees this, please give him some sort of raise or something.
