Willow Pond Park

This is one of my more favorite parks. I’ve been coming here for years. The pond is great for casual fishing. I took my three year old and he had a blast. The pond is big enough to where you can have space to sit down and fish. The fish cleaning area is pretty cool. I love the easy access to a toilet. The picnic area is nice. I do like the play ground areas that are there. There are several which is nice. This is an all around great park. The parking is ample and the facilities as a whole is well maintained. I will come again for sure. Highly recommend.

Fun little pond to throw some lures around if I dont want to drive up to my normal fishing spots.

Its beautiful and well maintained. Lots of ducks swimming and walking around. It seems to be a great spot for fishing because theres always a lot of people around the lake with their fishing rods. Its a great place for a fun time with kids, family and friends.

Please dont feed the ducks bread! But theres so many of them and the trail is awesome. Plenty of tree shaded spots for picnics. Close to the Jordan River Canal so you can play near the water!

We saw our first ducklings of the season here. The water was fun to walk around and it was clean and beautiful. The playground is still closed.

A close escape from the city. So peaceful.

A very large park with wide open spaces. They have a nice ball field with bleachers, a shaded picnic area that is not on grass, and a soccer field with nice goals. Fun play pond that kids were going into and they saw some fish. There is a real pond on the other side of the park but we did not go over there. Fun playground equipment, drinking fountain and bathrooms are available as well. Not too many trees around so keep that in mind on sunny days.

Its a nice family park softball Diamond soccer field fishing fishing station clean your fish and they just need to stock a little bit more for how much its fish by people other than that its family park. If they stocked it more often with fish Id give it 5 stars its way over fished

This is a very nice park a lot of grenades space and a very nice pond where you can fish. Very nice place to walk.

It was fun took my grandkids. One caught his very first fish but it just a tiny sun fish.

This park is a great park for the family picnics baseball all kinds of sports fishing I think its great

Stocked fishing pond, paved walking trail, three playgrounds for the kids, two soccer fields, a baseball diamond, sand volleyball, and a fish cleaning station. One of the better parks in the valley right in the heart of Murray.

Great place to walk around, fish, or play around. The bathrooms were even clean and stocked with toilet paper and hand soap...a rare thing at some parks.

Very nice quiet place for fishing with fish cleaning station. Was surprised to see so many ducks at this pond.

We love this pond. It is bigger than a lot of the other community ponds. It has a pretty nice playground, 2 of them even, and a field. One of the playgrounds is in eyesight of the pond. You can catch trout and catfish here for sure, not sure about any others. Their bathrooms were open here when we visited.

Quaint little park/playground/pond located right next to a major freeway. Despise its proximity to the road, its calm and quieter than you might expect. Great for a lazy afternoon of fishing and walking.

Beautiful urban fishing pond in the park, next to Jordan River Parkway Trail.

I enjoy this Park fishing is gray in the atmosphere and the people around there are great if you dont have nothing the people will come and give you something even fish its great

Beautiful place!! Spread out, walking path around and through the perimeter of the park. Pond is bigger than it looks, fishing spots all around- can spread out. Definitely recommend!!

It makes me so happy that amidst the busy chaos of the city there are beautiful walkways and parks that help us to connect with nature.

This park is beautiful! It’s in a great location. Even though it is near a busy road, it is rather quiet. We came for a baseball game. The stadium is very nice and bad plenty of space for a big crowd. There are many things you can do here at this park. Playground, open lawn area, trail for walking, various courts. I wasn’t able to walk all the way around so I didn’t see all the courts, but I did see a FISHING POND! Hence the name. There were some families fishing. Beautiful park!

Great place to play, fish in the pond, nice baseball field. Many soccer games are played here. Nice pavilions. Nice big sidewalks to walk on. Fish cleaning station as well.

Murray city has a fishing club for kids at this park. Its affordable, only once a week and my kids loved it. Great trainers and my kids learned a ton. It was always a great experience. They even supply the kids with poles and all extra equipment to fish and we actually caught many fish during the process. Its also a fun park to just fish on your own or just walk. Nice playground.

Beautiful park with a three playgrounds, splash pad, fishing duck pond that you can walk around, four basket ball hoops on court, large soccer field with goals, baseball diamond with tall sturdy fencing. Across the street is the Jordan park trail. Awesome.

Meh fishin was alright couldnt get a bite, but a bad day fishin is better then the best day at work

This is a great park for soccer, basketball, splash pad and fishing. I wish there was more shade, but that will come with time I am sure.

My three year old really loves ducks! And I really love ducks and we really love feeding them! But Are you kidding me right now? How can you come to a park with ducks and not feed the Ducks? The sign should say please do not feed the ducks BREAD! Because bread is very bad for ducks! We fed them apples! That was before we saw the STUPID sign that said please do not feed the Ducks! Come on people are you serious!? You cant have ducks at a park and not feed them! Just tell people to feed them responsibly!

I love willow pond Ive gotta tell you alot of fishing line being left onshore and trash not being taken out. If you take it in please take it out there was plenty of trash bins.

Great park. We went one evening to do some sunset fishing. Though it is in the middle of a neighborhood so houses are nearly all around, the views of the mountains are surprisingly good and its really quite peaceful.

Crowded but nice. Caught a couple of pumpkin seed fish.

The ducks here dont like lettuce so make sure to bring something else to feed them lol! Nice park overall though, had a nice stroll

This place is a Community park and fishing pond. You need a fishing license. It’s a fun place to take your kids if they like to fish.

We went over there and fish the pond on 61 or 6200 South 7th West at the pond are and there aint no fish nobody did not catch nothing and theres a lot of people upset from it start planning the fish or if not close to park fish area off

This park is a lovely place to spend the afternoon fishing without leaving the city!

Always a local go too. Need to hit it when its hot. Mid day. Luck goes down wards towards the evening. Spinners rooster tails. And power bait off the bottom about a foot or less. Small stocked fish. Every once in awhile someone will catch a decent catfish or like a 12 inch trout. Has a Fish cleaning station as well, childrens park, soccer field, and a walk around sidewalk that wraps the entire pond. Have fun!

I love this park for the gorgeous view of the Wasatch mountains and the fishing. It also has 3 playgrounds, ball fields, a jogging/walking path, and restrooms!

This is a quite big and beautiful park in Murray with childrens play areas, outdoor play grounds, basketball and base ball field facility. There are sufficient seatings with barbeque arrangement for picnics .There is a big pond called community fishery with a number of ducks where one can do fishing as well.

It was nice being outside. Fishing is very slow.

I have been going here my whole life, there are areas where kids can play in water and there is 3 brand new playgrounds (may not be open yet), we usually can catch a few fish. Also there are restrooms and pavilions where you can have lunch or birthday parties. This is a very enjoyable place.

Willow pond Park has a pond where you can catch trout, catfish, and some other pan fish. It has a small dock that goes out into the water and a fish cleaning station. There is a pavillion for large groups and a smaller gazebo where a lot of birthday parties take place for little ones. Both have a playground next to them (recently updated!) and a third playground next to a great baseball field with night time lighting and amenities. A basketball court and several soccer fields sit next to baseball field... a small wading stream for the kids cuts between. There is also a small fountain area for the kids to run around on to enjoy the spray on a hot summer day. Bathrooms are at the pavilion by the pond and by the ball field. There are walkways that go around the park and pond that makes it a great place for walking... and these walks tie into the Jordan river walkway for longer walks/jogs, bike rides etc. And all of it is handicapped accessible!

They see and do anything any kind of sports are fishing theres a basketball or tennis theres a baseball song and theres a lot of stuff I dont know and everything bathroom Jerry senior fish clean I think your dogs have to have a leash on him at all times I think I think its a great place take your family and stuff have picnics and play games I live a couple blocks away so I can walk there by the Jordan River walkway Park and its by a golf course he gets Willow Pond Golf Course and they had the great part that big Pawn its one of the best parts Ive been to no you need all anyway thank you for listening youre friend Scott

This place is pretty clean, has lively ducks, and the tiny fish are biting. Not an anglers paradise, but great for taking kids or just hanging out. Dog friendly and not crowded.

Clean, but as many times as we have gone there, not a single fish.

A lot of people fish at the pond. There is a basketball court and some green space for any other activity.

Its nice to have a community fishery. Mid summer when its hot this pond doesnt seem able too support a healthy population. They dont plant much and dead fish occasionally litter the shore. Can be good fishing in the fall. The park is nice. Bring a chair if your fishing because the shore is riddled with bird waste.

Didnt catch a damn thing! Theres a nice peaceful place where people only go fishing. No boats, no noise, just the sound of the other reels in the anticipation of catching a fish. Its just a small pond and you may go without a bite for a couple days, they surely wont go without peace of mind.

Great playground. Little splash pad is nice, but could be bigger. The small pond area for kids to play is great.

Caught a couple of LITTLE trout. The pond was very busy.

It was a very nice pond to fish in. I was told there are fish in it we went when it was hot you dont catch fish when its hot. A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work.

I have never been able to catch 1 fish here and the people crowd in.
