The reserve is now run by the Palouse Land Trust. Theyve added a handicap-accessible parking place and restroom (pit) but no trails are handicap-accessible.
Idlers Rest is a beautiful area to go for a quick hike. It is easy to get around trails are pretty clearly marked and most summers days its very nice. I have gone many time and each time I have a new fun experience would recommended for a date or even a family outing. We decided to take our cat on a walk there and he loved it so if you walk your cat just know ours approves!
Such a great place to go. Still close to town, but isolated for some fun hiking. Kid friendly trails, very well shaded. Trails are well marked and obvious (not overgrown). Always nice and cool. Its also fun to visit in the winter, so beautiful and peaceful.
Best nature park in Moscow. Great place to reconnect with earth.
I went trail hiking here. Theres a number of loop trails, with a variety of elevation changes, for just about every fitness level. The trees are wonderful.
Lovely, well maintained wooded area. Unfortunately it has no restrooms, so you will have to get creative.
Quick hikes. Trails on the parking lot side of the road are fairly flat, trails across the road have a bit more elevation. Worth the trip from Moscow/Pullman.
It was a breathtaking preserved natural area. Wonderful sceneries!
Nice walking, stopping, sitting, reading, praying trail... trails
