Beautiful place for hunting, fishing, hiking, exploring, etc...however they make no effort to maintain even the entrance roads. 1 ft deep pot holes every few feet! Dont go unless you have a truck or SUV. Theres a 2ft deep water whole you have to drive through to even access the back side of the refuge.
The roads in this place are horrible. Avoid unless you enjoy being stuck.
A reclaimed strip mine. Quiet and green. The trail map is hard to get oriented.
My pops and I both got the new Ranger and wanted to test it out on some dirt trails. I dont know much about the park as a whole but it was fun to do some hairy mudding and off roading. Disclaimer. We came in on the side where the mine entrance is. At a certain point theres an old beat up bridge. We did cross it but made a uturn and went back the other way because it turning into more of a quad trail. Still a fun time.
Well managed! 1st trip there, but saw lots of activity evidence.
Place is awesome
Great property but the roads could use a lot of work
Beautiful place although its all grown up its still a nice place to visit with nature.
Used to be a nice place for birding and hunting. Now torn up by pipeline and overrun by ATVs, dirt bikes and people who think its a shooting range.
Always enjoy this area.
Beautiful area with plenty of land for people to hunt
Very difficult spot. Out of service before destination. Good up to there.
I like to go running here, theres a nice gravel road that goes for miles on either side of the WMA.
Its wild with few trails but lots of places to explore.
Its so thick there that its hard to hunt anything with confidence
Peaceful and great place to hunt and fish.
Nice clean store
Loved it!!
Very good people and place
