Not sure the statue is a good likeness of Don Knotts. At least not Barney from Andy Griffith show.

We love the Andy Griffith show, so this was a real treat for us when we were in Mirgabtpwn recently.

Difficult to find or to park. If you succeed, it is pretty realistic. Nice photo opportunity.

If you are fan, and in the area it is definitely worth a stop. I would make a big trip to go here. Nothing but the statue to see.

An all American hero!

Statue is nice. Great places to check out and grab a bite nearby but the amount of homeless people you are approached by in this area makes us avoid the it and keeps us from spending money down there. Sad because it is just down the road and most of the places are locally owned.

This statue stands outside of a business on high street reminding us of Barney Fife from the Andy Griffith show. Nostalgic.

Highlight of my life

It’s something that not too many people know about. And really still not many know that Don Knotts was from Morgantown West Virginia. It’s a very nice thing that this town commemorated his Legacy. It’s more than just the pictures can justify. It’s something to see if you are a fan.

THIS STATUE IS REAL PIECE OF HISTORY.

The Don Knotts Statue is a marvelous likeness of the comic and is positioned in front of The Metropolitan Theater where Don Knotts attended performances and his daughter has returned to Morgantown to do her solo act in honor of her father who was born in Morgantown, WV. Great to be photographed by the bronze statue and by his star on the sidewalk close by.

The statue adds depth and history to Morgantown, loved waking by it to and from classes every day.
