Hidden away in the hustle and bustle of everything. Good switch back getting back up but I was a little confused on the trials...they were marked with the names so that was good. Pics dont do justice. Trees were huge

This is a nice, large, green area easy to get to from the major roads. We went in the summer. Not spectacular, but a nice short hike and some interesting trees. From the main road it is a gradual downhill to the paved path, then a short flat walk to the river. We didnt find a good open spot to see the river, so its easier to just wander the paths.

91 acres of sweet trails and nature. Lots of peaceful nooks by the river too. And if you want you can rail trail it all the way to Cheat Lake.

Gravel paths so bring decent shoes, does get a bit steep at times. Beautiful trees, you forget youre 5 minutes from downtown.

Perfect place to get fresh air and enjoy nature in Morgantown. I occasionally run into some of the people who manage the arboretum and they have always been very friendly and willing to answer questions about the area. I personally recommend grabbing some flat rocks near the bike rack on the Rail Trail and skipping them over the river!

Great place to walk, run, or just chill outside. Their hammock area is so cool and relaxing with neat sculptures among the trees! The meditation garden is SO peaceful with tranquil sounds from nearby stream. The staff work very hard keeping this place and all the beautiful landscaping/gardens up. Programming and events are unique and fun!

One of my favorite walking places in Morgantown across all four seasons. There are about 3 miles of trails. Be prepared for the steep hill. It is also possible to bike on the unpaved service road connecting the WVU parking lot to the rail trail. A must see are the wild flowers in the spring. There are free guided tours on 3 Sundays in April. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous location. Very pretty display of native and out-of-town species of trees. The trails are well labeled with signs. The pamphlets when you walk in are very informative. The map is easy to read. Some parts of the trails are steep, but the tree roots make for nice natural steps. Be prepared as you go farther into the woods. Bring light insect repellent.

Its more than an arboretum. It has lots a very steep hiking trails that stretch from the Mon river to campus. It also intersect the rail trail.

It is utterly beautiful. The trails are clearly marked. Just make sure you wear suitable footwear and take water. Some of the trails are a little steep but very shady. Plenty of benches to sit on and enjoy the woods.

Amazing nature park with lots of different types of trees and plants. The paths are easily accessible and walkable. Its nice that although it is managed and guided, it really seems to be nature that has run its path. Also great for running and exercising. Easy to reach by car, although it is inconvenient that there is no access really from the huge parking lot right next to it, which caused that I had to search for the entrance for 15 minutes.
