Not bad, but the trail needs some maintenance in spots.
I moved to Morgantown in 1979. The place used to be a disaster, but now its peaceful for walking, biking, running. Asphalt grade complete with a train overpass converted for trail use, a dam, an waterfront ampitheatre, and water front-wharf area quality restaurants. The trail itself extends to Fairmont, Reedville area, and the Mason-Dixon border.
Geese are friendlier than they seem at first
Very nice clean trail beautiful scenery
Wonderful rail trail for biking, running, and walking. This stretch by the Marriott is well lit and open allowing for safe enjoyment of the trail. Playground just up the trail for kids. Parking lot is close to trail and near other attractions.
I played pokemon go while walking around with my partner and it was lovely.
Great place for walking, running, and biking. Grandkids love the trail.
Nice place to go and nice place for fishing only thing would be to make stairs to pad by the water. And add a light down there but other than that its a pretty nice place to go.
Great central location to hit the biking trails! I like that my GF and I can go there together and have the flexibility to bike together a bit, then I can head up Decker Creek to get in 19 miles up, then still meet back for food, or she could pick me up along the trail if we need to save some time. Lots of options!
Good place for a walk with friends or family.
I love visiting here. My favorite fishing area in Morgantown. Trail goes on forever and is right on the water.
Great place to take a walk
Best place to park if you want to take your kids for a rail trail walk, go for a run, or ride your bike. Id suggest riding upstream to avoid walking traffic.
Very relaxing walk!
Great fishing and walking.
Great trail. Lots of things to do. Great for young and old alike!
People see you walking your dog they tend to walk up on you I dont mind sharing the trail but people need to be respectful of other people walking their pets
Nice trail
We love the walking trails.
Love walking on the trail.
The lock/ dam itself is a sight to see, the poor management of the property/ area is sad, trash everywhere not just fishing gear trash but bottles, cans, bags etc it takes away from the niceness of the area.
Always dirty
Watch out for geese
