As a travel nurse from North Carolina, I am constantly delighted by little surprises (like this park) tucked in unexpected corners everywhere in New Jersey. I had picked up a burger and sweet potato fries to go at Stuffed Grass Fed Burgers nearby (HIGHLY recommended) and wanted a pretty place to enjoy my meal. I sat on a park bench overlooking the beautiful pond (with fountains!) and an island with some sort of memorial. Wanting to burn off my feast, I walked along the paved trail around the pond, enjoying the beautiful view and watching families bike and play. As I drew closer to the memorial, a bridge offered a better view. On this Independence Day, I was thrilled to discover that it was a beautiful tribute to the local residents who had given their lives for our freedom. As an Air Force veteran myself, married to a retired Air Force officer, daughter of an Air Force officer and also the mother of an Air Force officer, I was moved to tears. This park brought joy to me, all alone and far from home and family, on this summer holiday.

Such a nice park for a picnic. Benches and trash cans all over so there is no trash on the ground. There is so much space to run and play here. Definitely coming back this summer.

Pleasant park in the middle of Montclair with a pond, walkways, and a children’s play area. Most people were doing a good job wearing masks while I was there recently.

Great place to take the kids on a fishing trip mom and dad. My best friend recently got me into fishing and so far this is a great place to learn the basics of fishing and enjoy a nice day in a beautiful park. With that being said, be cautious of geese poop. Overall, its a great park for fishing or just a trip to enjoy the outdoors of Montclair, New Jersey.

Pretty nice park with a winding pond that you can fish in, and a walking path that would make for a nice run if you did a few laps. The water has some litter and theres not a whole lot of parking available, but considering we went there on memorial day it wasnt too crowded.

Beautiful park which was originally designed in part of a golf course and now is open to the public. The WWI memorial which graces the middle is well known around Montclair as it is the moniker for the town with a bright orange sun

There are benches is scattered sporadically around the park along paved trail. Its good for families I see a lot of dog walking is a good place to play ball etc. one of the nicer parks around to visit.

You cannot beat the tranquility of edgemont park in Montclair. Amazing playground, walkway for walking and running, a huge pond with a fountain, such nice shaded areas by trees and an amazing field for physical fun. I love this place.

Used to fish here, the pond has some very large bass in it, and very easy to catch a bunch of pumpkinseed sunfish.

Edgemont park is located on Valley Road in Montclair New Jersey it is a very pretty park with a very huge pond a new and improved playground and a beautiful memorial My overall experience is really nice if you want to relax or just look at a pond in a nice warm day this place is very good for you five stars highly recommended

This park is very beautiful with a small lake and a fountain in the middle. There are many different things you can do. You can walk/jog the trail that runs around the park; its about a half mile distance. Across the street theres a nice elementary school and the park hosts a playground that is located more or less right across from the school. All in all, its a good park to spend the day. Just watch out for the bountiful goose poop.

Nice playground for the kiddos. But the town recently installed plastic grids under the field and the topsoil is eroding away now. With good turf maintenance there is no reason to install those plastic grids. And a big project to dig them up is likely in a future version of the town budget. Too bad.

A quiet, well maintained park

Several times I have had the opportunity to sit and think about life. The park is my place of tranquility. I enjoy the solitude, the peaceful quiet atmosphere, and the time with GOD.

Today spent my Memorial day afternoon. Beautiful weather sunny with the right amount of breeze, not too hot just cool and relaxing. Had a seat at the bench, The Park is Clean, Grassy, and great to see family and friends and kids just walking or riding their bikes and taking in the view of the waterfalls. Very spacious park and saw a very Cute Duck Family. Simple Moments in a Great Family Park...

Love this park. Big enough to play ball games. Nice kiddie park on the south end of it. Also its great for novice joggers.

New favorite park! Small enough to let the kids go on their bikes and still keep an eye on them! The park is accessible 100% and only has one entrance so its very safe! Only downside is the bathroom, only one portable one.

Nice large park with a great, fenced in childs playground. Paved walkway around the pond, but sadly no access to the island. Bring a picnic and blanket and enjoy the pond and ducks. Playground kept 2 four years olds entertained for almost 2 hours. Only port-pottys at park - boo. But overall a great place to enjoy the outside. Edgemont Memorial Park is a lovely place to relax, picnic, walk or jog. There is a beautiful fountain in the center and it was quiet and peaceful the morning I visited.

Beautiful and quiet park to go for a nice walk or jog. I havent been there in awhile since I moved. My husband and I decided to go there today and they changed the parking around. Will be visiting a little more often.

Excellent Park to walk through.

At this park, you can go fishing or just sit on a bench to relax while watching the center of attraction, a huge water fountain. Why I am giving it 4 stars only because it is not well maintained, at least in my opinion. Every time we go there, we step on geese poopy along the walking path. Also, the playground needs fixing where some parts are broken and are dangerous specially for toddlers.

What a relaxing and amazing playground! Kids were also excited about discovering a mama duck and her ducklings.

This is a great park with a paved walking/bike path. The path is flat, no hills. There is a nice pond, a playground with water fountains and plenty of benches.

Seems like theyre in the middle of upgrading. Theres a newly paved path but the drainage in the center of the park is very poor. I hope this is addressed. This is a more family and kid-friendly park with a small playground and a good perimeter for children to walk and ride bikes.

The walkways are great. Planted grass seeds, removed some bushes, put new benches all around. Reconfigured the driveway but failed to replace parking or add spaces! With parking, I would have given it at least 4 stars!

Edgemont is a beautiful park (located across the street from Edgemont School, and off of Valley Road) with a large pond, with a water feature, and baseball diamond. It also includes a semi-enclosed are for kids with swings, sliding boards, etc. This is a great place for family fun.

Nice playground area; the whole park is going through a renovation right now though. Nice fields too.

The circular driveway being constructed replaces a parking lot which now forces all visitors to park on the street. One of the streets is busy which could lead to potential accidents involving pedestrians, including children. The building in the.park is dedicated to seniors and holds several functions daily for them. Lack of parking will cause some difficulty for handicap seniors t9 access such programs..
