Came here for a school project called The Act of Kindness. Parks in Modesto are resting places with shade for the homeless unless your in a recently built neighborhood. Currently there are 1,661 homeless in Stanislaus and still counting. So if your expecting to not run into them at all at these parks then your mistaken. As an act of kindness we gave out fresh water bottles to the homeless and found plenty here. The ones we encountered were nice and no problem at all. If your looking for a family friendly park try out Gracaeda park, although there is homeless around here also, just less of them.

Nice park.city has made some nice improvements. There is a small hall available to rent for events

Bi
Review №12

There are many people using methamphetamine here on a regular basis. If you are seeking that sort of thing, you might rate it five stars. If you are able to tolerate it, you might rate it 3. If you want a sheltered experience for the pristine minds of the untainted youth, I dont recommend going here.

Attended a baby shower at this park. It was much better years ago. The grass could be much greener and they could make it more kid friendly by cleaning it up and getting more equipment for the kids to play on. Although the homeless that were hanging out there were friendly and not a bother, its not my first or second choice as a park to take the family to. You have to keep your eyes peeled to everything around you to feel safe. The city needs to put more work into this park. No reason for yellow grass at the beginning of February.

The little league field is great, but the homeless have taken over yet another park in Modesto.

Jo
Review №25

My childs first Tball game was here the other evening and first impressions of the surrounding area was why here?! The actual baseball fields are nice, the one we played on was well kept. Its just the homeless/ lowlife population that sadly takes away from this gem. Im not a guy who looks down on the homeless either, Ill help them out from time to time but its just certain places they shouldnt be at.

This location partners a differential partnering Dog Park. It also duals with another park, known as, Graceda Park. These locations do sponsor as a resting place for the homeless. Enslen Park features baseball field, and a horse shoe pit.Its recreational habilitation center where wreck was once offered for children, alike Roosevelt Park off the illusive Bike Path on Orangeburg, last serving wreck in 2000 forget kids.Enslen Park is a unique abode to spend time with, there is no local wifi, so be aware if your phone needs a wifi connect to work outside of text or calling. This is a great place to kick back and make some friends. This location is guarded by MPD, and security as it closes with curfew at 10:00 PM.

Its nice when its not over ran by the homeless usually they clear it out before ball games but its not a park you want to take you kids to for a picnic or to play if your there for baseball its okay other then that I would say stay away unless your going there to help feed the homeless or keep them warm during cold winter days/nights

This park is a place for the homeless people to be at.l remember a time when older parks were a fun place for families .but the city of modesto has allowed these places to deteriorate into slum parks, hoboparks,a place for alcoholics and drug attics and mentally ill homeless to claim. The shame of modesto!!
