It was a hidden dog park that I ran across. I was going all the way to Oakdale because the only dog park I knew of was on Prescott and that one is horrible. This one is much better

I was at Morris Dog Park, on 10/13/20 9am, with my mini dachshund(7 lbs)on the small dog side of the park . IMMEDIATELY one of the larger terrier/mix dogs(20 lbs)ran at my puppy, knocking my him over. I asked the owner to stop his dog. There were a bunch of people(approximately 6)at the concrete table and they all started yelling at me that these dogs were just”playing”.I’ve trained dogs for 30 years, I know the difference between play and aggression !!!! DO NOT go to the Morris Dog park in the morning. These people are ignorant of dog park protocol,dog behavior, and EXTREMELY rude . I walked my puppy on the grass.In addition I use a parasol because I have melanoma. Again, people at the concrete table, were in the shade, I was in the sun . The owner of a chihuahua mix dog was saying my parasol use was the reason her dog that was constantly growling/barking at me as I walked around. Not one person apologized or offered to let me occupy space in the shade, rather than my being in the sun. I suggested to the owner of the chihuahua mix dog needs to desensitize her dog at home to umbrellas.The afternoon and evening people aremuch more knowledgeable about dog behavior’s and Dog Park protocol.

This place is great but sometimes people dont remove their agresive dogs when they should and become defensive when someone makes a comment.

Great place to take your animals especially young that are trying to get around other animals and help train them to be around other animals without fighting

Nice park. Dont forget to bring your doggy waste bags. They dont have them right now because of Covid 19. Park is open, though lots of shade.Water fountain froendly for dogs. Small dog section as well.

I like to stop at nice places in the car and do my bills. Just a little thing I picked up. This park is good to stop by and let the dog run while I enjoy the weather. I like the parking lot being right off to the side the way it is.

The animals and the owners are all super nice and we always have a excellent time. Clean and friendly

Its great because they have a little dog park for 30 lb and under and a big dog park for the big dogs lots of shade and wood chips where poop pick up bags and poop receptacles

Clean, most dogs well behaved. Two separate pens. One for little and one for big dogs.

I use to love taking my husky here, until a Rottweiler that wasn’t neuter attacked my dog. The owner was on the other side of the park (when you’re supposed stay next to your dog I would assume). It went on for a minute (as my boyfriend tried separating them) but his dog bite my boyfriend arm leaving him with a open wound. I know your not supposed try & separate them but when you see your dog getting hurt what are you supposed to do, since that we haven’t gone back. Owners should always stay near their dogs. Other than that the park is nice, separation or big to small dog, doggie bags, and friendly people.

Im new to owning a dog which is tough already but a 16 month old in an apartment just makes for zoomies all day. This place is great for letting her run free and socialize. The 2 park design also means I dont have to worry about someones teacup poodle getting in the way of 65 lbs of muscle running around. Everyone Ive met there has been great so its always a fun trip to the dog park!

Big and friendly park, owners and dogs there are really cool. Wish there was more grass thats my only complaint but otherwise i love the division between big and small dogs. They a water fountain for dogs and they have poop bags that you can use.

There are too many people there that dont understand not to crowd the gates so everytime you enter the park your dog gets a lovely welcome to prison experience and will more than likely get into a fight.Theres an easy remedy to this if signs were posted clearly telling owners to pay attention and tips on edicit.Aldo the homeless in the area and the homeless sleeping in the parking lot and the heroin needs frequently found in and around here is very off putting.

This is a great dog park better than the other one we have here in Modesto theres two sides one for little dogs and one for big dogs. Theres a water fountain for the dogs and for people. Its a great place to meet others we met a couple that met there and got married so that was really fun to hear. You never know if youre single get your Pooch and go down to the dog park .

This is a GREAT dog park. A little hard to find if you are visiting. Lots of room and attentive owners.

Love this park,but my dog loves it more.She loves the smells.Usually you run into nice dogs and nice people.Its clean and safe for my girl. On a sunny day its enjoyable.

We love being walking distance to this dog park. There is a smaller area for small dogs (under 30 pounds) and a larger are for large dogs. Our 20 pound dog loves both areas. He will heard the smaller dogs then run with the big dogs. Its always fun to sit and chat with other dog lovers.

Its great and long overdue on modesto,the only thing modesto had before was that ptch of dead grass on prescott dont get me wrong it was very cool of that church to allow that space for dogs but it was always torn up and the lack of water was an issue- this new dog park is divided into two parts 1 for bigger dogs and 1 for little ones so right away im sure that prevents some problems, the water fountains k9 accessable its got everything you and your pooch could ask for- im so grateful this finally got here

Its a really cool place very well done. obviously nothing to do with any of the government or city planners of Modesto. it must be private people... To facetious for you?come on these people cant even fill a pothole...and another thing WHY DO I HAVE TO LEAVE A REVIEW FROM EVERY DAMN PLACE I GO..!!

I take my dog to dog park right when it opens at 6am. She has severe anxiety so being at the park when other dogs are there arent an option. My girl LOVES to run around and take in all the smells, but there was a man camping right up against the chain link fence so my pup would not even enter the dog park. I contacted the city and that same day, an officer called me and then visited the camper. My pup is back to running this fun smelling dog park.

The first time that my dog went was great she loved playing in the big dog section. By the time we came home she was tired. She had fun running and playing with other dogs. Such a huge section for the dogs and people are so friendly. We love it there.

Its been positive playtime most the time. Once in a while a little ruff play. My dog loves to go there and run freely.

So Im revising my last review of this place. Most of the dogs here are well behaved and its a nice place to take your dog. They offer a water fountain, poop bags, and it has plenty of shade.My two biggest problems with this park are the wood chips they use here. And that some owners refuse to acknowledge and/or honor the Big Dog Park Small Dog Park signs. Ive had several incidents at this park as a result of larger dogs attacking or playing too roughly with my small breed dog. Both these issues are a vet bill waiting to happen. Im seriously considering not bringing my dog there anymore if I continue to have issues with owners having their dog in the wrong park.I dont care how well your dog gets along with the big or small dogs keep them on the same side or just take your dogs to another park that doesnt have this rule.

Very nice dog park. It has 2 sides. One for big dogs and one for the smaller dogs. My dogs love it when I take them there. Plenty of parking and across the street from Graceada Park.

Its a good open area for dogs who love to run around. Theres plenty of shade in between the two large trees in the small dog park. My dog loves coming here.

This park is very nice, and its a place with applitude for dogs to run and play. They have a divided area assigned for large, and small dogs. When people around the park sees you coming with your first dogs; they give you advices on how to take care of your dog.

My apologies to my fellow dog park friends for bringing any hint of negativity to this park. This is a wonderful park and I will continue to bring my dog. I will not tolerate abuse of an animal in the settings described, especially when I know that animal is simply showing he/she wants to play.

Love to take the babies there for walks and lots of exercise. Its very clean and safe.

My dog LOVES this place. Shes always exhausted when she gets home. Other dog owners are friendly. Its the occasional over-aggressive dog that spoils things.

One of the nicer dog parks near modesto. Dislike the small dog owners that ask if my 40lb female pitty is nice because at the end of the day who is the one tripn and barking for no reason. Be careful on the big dog side as well because ive had some close calls with other dogs not being so nice. At the end of the day itsbthe dogs owner who needs to keep an eye out.

My dogs and I had a great time the only thing was no one brought any toys or balls or robes for the dogs to play with Ill make sure I Belle bring some next time I Go
