Service was a little slow and there werent many people there. I had to ask twice to get the Wi-Fi so I can get some work done on the laptop. But the food here is always the very best absolutely top notch when it comes to the grub

Historic building, open late-nights, and always good for people-watching and interacting with the fun and colorful patrons. The waitstaff are quick and attentive. The breakfasts are consistently high-quality and a good deal.

The oxford is without a doubt the best burger in missoula. if your lucky youll get Robert as a cook and he knows how to perfectly prepare that thing for ya. my buddy got the albacore tuna melt and he loved it. great French frys, great music, slots and great people. we love this place and always come here when were in missoula.

I could drink and bathe in JJs gravy. Id gladly wait an hour plus on those busy nights to stuff my face with that chicken fried steak! My last visit some kid tried to complain it took to long and then tried to return his food when he ordered wrong( oh he did order wrong I had the pleasure of sitting by him. He was drunk, annoying and wrong). He began to brag about how he managed a few bars in town and waiting for food that long was unacceptable. For the ox special it is always worth it. No one was impressed and you guys put the drunk dude in his place. You guys killed it. If you are visiting Missoula the Oxford is a must stop for some late night drunk food. I recommend the ox special or at least order some JJs on the side you wont regret it I promise.

Nice little hometown bar and grill, even has a casino attached! The people were friendly and the food was ok. My husband had a 16oz ribeye for $16, not a bad price. I had the open faced roast beef, it was good just a little thin. Overall a decent stop.

The food is great when you can get service. The lack of respect for other time is abundance. I have worked in the service industry for 20 years. This use to be such a great place to eat for all my family. After the service tonight we will never be back. I will spend my money locally to those who hold their employees to the standard of respecting the customer. The employees get upset they have to work.

Food is still good after doing it for decades. Service is okay, but slow to get orders out. Four stars for food after 2am, four stars for service, one star for speed of the short order cook.

Good food is always nice to find. The original al menu had great names for each dish and you can still see what they are because of the sign above the grill area. They have a unique one of a kind JJs gravy house made and delicious with their biscuits and gravy; it is a white gravy that has a spicy kick to it. They have a full service bar here, a pool table, and a pinball machine as well. Also a small casino area is available as well, it is tucked away towards the back and side of the main area of the Cafe. One of the only places in town that is open 24 hours a day. Highly recommend this place for someone looking to experience one of the signature locations that you will only find in Missoula.

Best 1/2 pound burger in town for five bucks! Plus, they serve the plain, no-frills potato crinkly fries without all of the batter that everyone else serves. I make it a point to take my out-of-town guests to the Ox!

My order of the Philly was salty, I was hungry and ate the 1st sandwich but couldnt the 2nd one.The French Fries was delicious and was unsalted which I enjoyed.I also noticed that the restaurant smelled like pee which even my Friend noticed. I dont think I will come back.

This place is a little bit of everything-24hour diner, bar with pool table, and casino. Food was fine (didnt care for the JJs gravy but others rave about it). Service was fine.

Good diner food at a decent price. Everything is a la cart, so the advertised $5 burger is $7.50 if you want a side of fries and $8.00 with mayo. For two of us we opted for the large fry on the side and there was plenty left after we were done picking at them!

Most everytime Ive gone its been excellent. Recently though I had a bad experience. Rick, I believe is his name, was really rude. It took 45 minutes to get our food, and when we got our check he made some unnecessary comments about how we were slowing his closing down (we werent even the only ones there.) When we stood up for ourselves he became even more rude. On a Friday night a 24 hour restaurant should be more than ready to accommodate a small group of people. Normally though, the Ox is great, the staff is friendly, and the food is delicious.

Breakfast! Country fried steak! Asian server, who hugged me the 2nd time we went in! Love it! Love the history pics. And the bison head made me sad, but makes me determined to see the Bison Range.

The food is fine. The service is slow. But when the place is packed at 2am by a group of ravenous drunkards who spontaneously break out into a choir singing Wagon Wheel because its on the stereo. Theres no place Id rather be.

I come here almost every day. The staff is great and the food is good. What else do you want from a diner?

So upon reading good reviews I thought we would give the Oxford a try. I ordered a rib steak that was reasonably priced. However the meal was not the best. Salad of wilted lettuce, limp fries and a piece of toast. The kicker for me was $1.50 for 8 ounces of soda with NO refills. We wont be back.

Its a dive with good eats! I had bacon and eggs and the hubs had the Chicken fried steak with JJs special gravy, NOT for the faint of heart, regardless he enjoyed it very much. Our waiter was also the cook and busing tables, a true factotum! A good meal at a good price.

This is one of the best places to eat in Missoula and it is not fancy. Its open 24/7 so anytime you want to grab some fresh bacon and eggs or a steak its always available. The prices are pretty good. This place secretly has the best pancakes in town. One pancake for 3 bucks and its a full meal.

Worst meal and service..been going there for 17 years and always had good meals. Ordered bacon and eggs; forgot the eggs, pattymelt blood red, English muffin dripping in butter on grill rather than taking time to put in toaster. Sat at counter and watched has browns sit for 10 minutes getting cold while trying to figure orders out. Coffee cup sat empty while they walked past it multiple times until asked them for more..so disappointed and wont go back.

We were told The Oxford was a must in Missoula so we went on a Sunday morning. Not crowded, service was fast, food was very good and the prices are very low.The pancake is probably 2 inches thick, fluffy and delicious. Eggs and hashbrowns were cooked perfectly, the coffee was great and our cups were kept full.

Took over 2 hours to get our food. Not a huge fan of the wait but, the cook made up for the long wait. He was funny, entertaining and made the visit enjoyable.

Used to love this place but the last 2 times food took over an hour and a half or didnt get it at all. They dont even have the courtesy to tell you the food will be a wait.

Grossly understaffed for a weekend night (9PM). Took an actual 47 minutes for the food to come out (2 burgers and a grilled cheese sandwich). Staff was nonchalant, aloof and unapologetic. Will not be returning.

Great food and an even better price. You can get a hamburger cheaper than it works be at even McDonalds and its a true 1/2 pound of real meat. Amazing! I works eat the burgers here before even going to a fancier restaurant with $10 burgers.The atmosphere is somewhat divey, but the servers and bartenders were awesome and on the ball!I would highly recommend this place. I cant wait to try their breakfast!!!

The Oxford Cafe is posibly the oldest cafe in Missoula. There is alot of history with this business, I like the hamburgers, The Double Ox Burger is legendary. This will fill you to the brim. I had a single patty burger with fries and brown gravy, I sat back happy as a lark. They offer an interesting menu, gaming machines, table poker and a bar. A must visit and you will most likely return.
