The Sunrise is one of the best real bars in Missoula. When I say a real bar, I mean it’s not a restaurant that says bar in the name. The drinks are great and bartenders are some of the best in town. My family likes to frequent for a. Ice after work drink. They also have some of the best dancing and music in Missoula. Lots of country and swing dancing. Go check it out on a Saturday night.

This is a fun place, but beware of the cocktail servers. They all change different prices . I ordered the same drink three times from 3 different servers and they changed three different prices, for the same drink. W.T.F. It is the only place that has a decent dance floor and the atmosphere is always good here.

It was definitely interesting. The front is full of life with karaoke a small bar and pool table and Id you keep walking back theres a massive bar and country playing, larger dance floor, large outside area and area for live band. Fun and friendly. Had a good time.

Very entertaining would definitely go back

I am still completely shocked and furious. We entered the bar for an afternoon drink, and I look up to check out the art. I KID YOU NOT there is a HUGE, Im talking the biggest painting in the whole place, painting of three black men being hung from a support beam in an old rundown barn. This paint is the CENTER PIECE of the whole place right above the dance floor. As if that isnt bad enough, there is an actual noose hanging from the top corner of the painting. Disgusting. I will be sure to never return, and advertise to everyone I know just how repulsive this establishment is.

First off, regulars here, normally order great food, but tonight I asked if bartender was new, (she) I believe got offended, then I asked for a bigger glass for a friend I was with, and she said to me that I must be the controlling one as she walked away. Hmmm, thats not something a bartender should say to a lady trying to make a friend happy. Still good service, but rude comments are not appreciated! Still tipped her.

Glad they tried some new music (Hell’s Belles are great!). That’s where the two stars were earned. The empty three are 1 Light on the pours. 2 MC who is unintelligible 3 The “bouncers” have zero skill. Apparently the words “situational awareness” and “common sense” both elude them. Maybe theSunrise should stick to local country bands.

I was a bit surprised how much I enjoyed this western themed bar. They always have music but I remember them having a cover charge most nights. The night I went there was no cover, the band was good, and the music was at a good level so you could still have conversations with your friends. Really enjoyed it. I hope this is a good trend we see at other bars. I love music but volume levels need to be reasonable.

Classic western watering hole. No-frills and unpretentious. Everything a tavern should be. Bonus points for stocking local brews and spirits.

Live country bands are fun and there is always someone to dance with. The bar is always packed and getting a drink can be difficult, cocktail waitresses help with this. There is a bartender that keeps giving us soda instead of tonic on our G and T, yuck, always happy to fix it but you should know the buttons and the difference. It has a sister bar the dark horse connected that is a biker/karaoke bar with pizza. Although the line looks shorter over there their bartender must be related to a sloth.

I support this saloon 100%, and the fact that people are protesting and all pissed off over a painting is OUTRAGEOUS! This political correctness is killing our art and history. IT ISNT RACIST! People were hung regardless of color! If you were a thief, you were a thief. Stop crying and protesting about every damn thing! Ive never been to this saloon, but you better believe I will be now after seeing how these evil people are trying to ruin it. You can have whatever art work you want in your establishment. Ill be sure to ring up a big tab and leave a huge tip to support this saloon. Stop ruining this with political correctness garbage!

Not my cup of tea. The drinks are overpriced just like downtown and the bar was packed shoulder to shoulder with stuck up, city grown college kids that thought they grew up back in the holler and hipsters that just couldnt quit talking about politics. On top of that the whole place smelled like everyone dumped out a cup of cheap light beer. Seriously, dont go here. That was the worst start to a birthday I could wish on someone.
