Jodi is a fantastic instructor. She was proactive and responsive from the very beginning, supplying studio directions and notes in advance of the class, and making everyone feel like welcome guests in her studio. She is also highly organized, sharing some art history, a great syllabus, and a detailed supply list should a student wish to set up his/her own home studio. Her demos were engaging, informative, and fun. Jodi also left plenty of time to play and explore with the generous amount of encaustic materials available-- and everyone in my class completed at least three finished pieces during the session! There is guided instruction, with Jodi available to answer questions; yet plenty of room to fulfill your own creative vision without the instructor hovering/helicoptering. Overall this was an engaging, creative experience in a beautiful studio space, with a wonderful instructor. Thank you, Jodi!

I took an encaustic painting class with Jodi and enjoyed it tremendously. I had never explored this medium before and Jodi was an excellent source for information and techniques. I would highly recommend the experience!
