Great customer service! I have been going to this store for the past few months and I have never had a negative experience. The staff is very polite and knowledgeable. I called a few days ago inquiring about a certain product and they were extremely helpful, I received a follow up email with options of brands for the product I was looking for. I would high recommend this art supply store.

I got an email with an advertisement for a discounted art set. I went in to buy it and was told only if you order it online. I rechecked the email right in the store and there was no mention of the online order requirement.I asked how long it would take to get an online order ready and was told 2-5 days.It was too bait and switch for me. I left and paid full price at a Box store craft shop.

So much cool stuff to get inspired by. I did a marbling demo they had out one day and found one of my new favorite techniques! Bought a starter pack a week later and made this bad boy:

Great neighborhood store. We can find most of our art supplies here, and other things we didnt even know we needed. Staff is always helpful and ready to jump in and answer even my kids questions.

Lots of cool art supplies to look at, but I have been here five times in the past year or so and have left without what I came for because they were out of stock.Some of the staff are super kind and helpful, some act as if youre putting them out for coming in.Prices are a bit high, but thats to be expected.

Such a fun store! An amazing selection of colored pens, pencils, and markers. Perfect for handwriting arts, coloring, and more! Prices are decent too (which surprised me since its not one of those big name superstores). I was very pleased with the whole experience and Ill definitely be back! Next time however, Ill bring more money!

Came here by chance on black Friday, hoping to get some quality acrylics and still be able to pay bills. I must say, I found some great deals and then some!!! The young woman working that night was an absolute delight and could not have been more helpful! Even after grilling her with all kinds of obscure questions that even the most seasoned artist wouldnt reasonably be able to answer. While checking out and adding in the bonuses I wouldve otherwise missed, she explains how the owner had opened up the space next door, thatd formerly been his studio, as a gallery for local artists wanting to show/sell their work. I cannot express how awesome I think that is. I will be/have been recommending this store to anyone thatll listen because of their generosity and kindness!!!

I was trying new things and I did NOT get the cold, snotty how do you not know vibe like at some other art stores. Kat was soooooo helpful. They have a nice range of prices and quality, so its great place to get materials wheteher you are a beginner or more experienced.

Unique selection, great quality products and a decent size selection to choose from. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars was bc the only thing I didnt appreciate how the staff kept staring, as I was browsing, and then I felt even more uncomfortable and slightly irtitated when they were following me around the store, like I was trying to steal. Which is the furtherest thing from the truth, I just like to take my time, browsing in each isle.

I went to Art Materials today and the person loved the words I dont know. You would think when I was interested in purchasing a fountain pen the employees would have some training. I went to another store that had knowledgeable employees and ones that wanted to help a customer. The last few times I have been to Art Materials, I have walked out without purchasing items that they have simply because the staff is not helpful and I feel like I am not a welcome customer. I discovered a small local store in another part of town that I will be going to when I need art supplies.

They possibly have EVERYTHING you might need for anything you want to make and craft. Price ranges are very accessible and understandable, carries a large variety of brands to compare, simple cheaper stuff for kids and fancy expensive stuff for dedicated adults. Service is friendly, too.

I had an art project in mind... So I cruised over to get some art materials. Naturally when a guy needs art materials, he ends up at Art Materials.Anyways the gals over there got me exactly what I needed and my project turned out swanky.

Overall this store has a few flaws, but recently I had an excellent experience there. A gentleman named Mark who works in the framing department helped me figure out an affordable and effective way to photograph my work using a non-reflective glass pane. For the sake of brevity Ill just say he was knowledgable, helpful, clear and friendly. He also REALLY helped to elevate my ability to archive my work. With employees like this you really cant go wrong.Two serious thumbs up to Mark and the whole framing department!

With the exception of the young Asian woman who worked there and was super friendly and helpful, the other staff were dreadful!As I was browsing the store, there was a person following me through each aisle. I didnt notice this at first, and initially thought it was just another customer. He kept following me no matter where I browsed! Eventually I realized he had a staff shirt on, and that I was basically being policed.Meanwhile, the sole other customer in the store was not being followed at all. The difference between us was that I had a backpack, and further, I look very young for my age, people often mistake me for a teenager. The other customer was an older woman so perhaps they figured she wouldnt steal since of course old people never do that.Listen folks, if youre that worried about theft, you might as well enforce a check bag at register type rule that some other places require. Id prefer that over being profiled based on my youthful looks and awesome backpack!On top of that, at the register, as the young Asian girl helped check me out, she offered me a membership card. However, it required my email information, I dont like giving out my email because it always equals spam, so I asked if I could skip that since they already took my private phone number.The girls manager, this creepy crow of a woman with a perm-frown and anal retentive attitude, snapped at me, saying that they needed the email to verify my identity.First of all, can someone explain how an email verifies anybodys identity? Id say a phone number is already enough? Whatevs. I rejected their lame membership at that point.And really, what I should have done was just leave the store in huff without purchasing anything. Instead I paid over $100 for the supplies I wanted, thus supporting the local total jerks business. Consider it a donation because you definitely need a LOT of help. Youre welcome!

Probably my favorite art store. Large selection, great customer service. They used to carry all kinds of Krink paint markers but only have a select few now. Great Molotow selection, Montana Black & Gold but no high pressure 600ml cans

A large selection of art supplies. It feels like a big store. Has a very fancy area for fountain pens (Lamy, Faber-Castell, Retro 51, etc). Prices are a bit high for my tastes, and will be getting my supplies from Wet Paint instead.

It took them half an hour to check me out, they made several mistakes and tried to over charge me. They were unhelpful, and the store was hot and unpleasant. This is not the first time I have had a bad experience at this store, but it will certainly be the last. Im sorry, but it should not take you half an hour to ring up six pens and a sketchbook!
