Beautiful park, great hikes too! The lake is nice to bird watch, and there’s a dog park to bring your furry friends. One time we brought my German shepherd for a hike, and she got skunked, so watch out for wild life!

Great park to come and spend a few hours or even a day at. There is a 6 dollar fee for vehicles. Hiking trails, off leash dog area, picnic benches, and even a lake are available. Ive seen some people fishing in the lake. The trails provide stunning views of the city. Highly recommended area to visit without having to travel too far from the city.

This park has lake which is so beautiful and mesmerising. There are ducks and birds in this park which roam everywhere. It has trails which are good for walking and jogging. Grass is so good children can easily play and run all over. It is also good spot for photography shoots if anyone wants to. Ed Levin park is also open for paragliding and dogs are also permitted. People who love hiking this would be best place for them. It’s a good spot for friends and family get-together. Beautiful scenic place.

Hiking at Ed Levin is some of the best in the area. Ed Levin offers great views on trails without the congestion like neighboring Mission Peak. My preferred route is Ed Levin to Monument Peak to Mission Peak and back to Ed Levin. I recommend dressing for different types of weather all year round AND to bring plenty of water. Much of the trail is exposed during summer, and the wind patterns change as you climb. This is a popular hang gliding area, so the wind on some days can be biting if youre not prepared.

Its really surprising to see beautiful lake at such a high elevation. Ducks in lake and birds all around is amusing . Good walking / jogging tracks and hiking spots. Play structure/ station for kids is well equipped. Paragliding is a usual activity at Ed Levin Park. Leashed dogs are permitted. Besides, theres a separate fenced dog park, and is very popular amongst dog owners. A good scenic park for picnic, friends and family parties.

This is definitely a fun and friendly place for hiking, bbq, dog playing, fishing etc. people do paragliding here. Amazing! it has the 6$ parking fees required though. So plan your stay and activities. The hike has several challenging routes. It’s like mission peak all the way up but no shades or bushes on the way up.

There was plenty of shade to enjoy our lunch under and the bathrooms were nice and clean so we could wash our hands. We enjoyed seeing the ducks, geese, and a heron.

Sandy Wool Lake is beautiful and peaceful. Lots of people around here for good reason, even at an off-peak time, fishing and running around. There are geese and ducks in the pond (goose poop on part of the trail). Most of the ring around the lake is not stroller friendly but our 2 year old and 4 year old happily walked most of it. We also went up the hill a bit. Not much shade for this loop, but thats okay. Playground is closed as expected for good reason.

This was my first time at this park. My mom, nephew and I went there specifically to walk around. We walked around the lake twice, then walked a side trail. It was a nice park. The bathrooms were super clean as it was pretty crowded with families having picnics on the grass due to Covid precautions. Lots of ducks and geese in the lake. On this day, Saturday, 6-13-20, there was no fee to park. Parking was full, had to wait for a parking spot. We will be back.

Parking - Pleanty of space with disbled parking as well.2. Children friendly3. Multiple trails along with loop trails4. Beautiful park with a water body5. Drinking water - Please carry this place does not have that. Most of the water fountains are useless6. Carry some food7. If you hike the trail, its moderate and you will not be too exhausted.8. A nice place for relax, also good for an easy hiking with families or close friends in the weekend. Especially during in COVID-19, not many people there, and parking is free those days. In Summer, the California sun is strong as always, don’t forget your sun-scream, hat and others things will protect you from the sun. Suggest go in the early morning in Summer.

Always fun fishing Sandy Wool. You can use different techniques. Theres planted trout during the fall, and catfish in the spring. Crappie, small mouth bass and large mouth bass are naturally spawned. Theres lots of wild life including a couple of bald eagles, coots, egrets, cranes, owls, osprey, skunk, deer, coyote, wild boar, turtles, frogs, and a wide variety of birds. Theres a dog park, view of the hills, and paragliders that grace the skies on a windy day. Come visit some time.
