We got here for swimming at Crystal Lake and to play at the playground. We will also have the kids ride their bikes around. There is a good amount to do. In addition there are hiking trails, volleyball courts, a hall to rent, baseball fields, fishing, and a boat launch. The Rec Department has kayaks and such to rent during the summer. My only complaints are that the designated swimming areas can be very small and shallow. This works for the young kids, but not so much for adults. The bottom can have a lot of lake weed outside of the swimming areas. Lastly, the lifeguards can be a bit overly strict. Overall a good spot though and not a big crowd.

It was a nice place to go to take care of you and your family for lunch and relax.

Ive been going since the 70s. Beautiful and scenic. My only complaint is that some of the young male life guards have been rather rude to beach goers and people fishing. Its awkward when a young child is standing in the water, and has to insure being yelled at by a teenager, only then to watch their parents begin to argue with that lifeguard who appears to be on some kind of power trip. Some oversite on this might be helpful

Great place to relax but they should really add back the basketball hoops. Would love it more if they would bring them back.

Very beautiful park and the drive is quite nice. But, look abandone some spots . I guess the town run out of money. anyhow. i have a nice walk with my husband there in a small trail.

I love it. Nice view, mini trail in the back, another that brings you all the way to the other side.of the lake.

Great park. Lake is available to middletown residents. Nice trails to hike in as well

Way too many life guards, I counted 10 and most just play volleyball while one works. Are we paying for this as tax payers? Also rules are crazy. They yelled at my kid for bringing a beach bucket into the water and for wearing water shoes and for using arm floaties- which is apparently not allowed. My kid is 3!

To many vultures they scare me

This is a beautiful park. I would give it 5 stars except for a couple of reasons. One reason is the number of people that let their dogs run loose without a leash. This is not allowed according to the park signage yet half of the dogs are not on a leash. Secondly, the number of single men sitting in their cars around the dock is disturbing.

Nice open greenspace convenient to Middletown with parking, blazed trails and a picnic area.

Nice clean place, some shade by the beach. The only thing I didnt appreciate was all the rap songs with swears I had my youngster with us.

Fresh lake. Swimming water temperature was good.
