The Middletown Canal Museum on Verity Parkway at the Verity Parkway entrance to Smith Park is an exceptional historic Middletown location. You can visit inside the museum for free on Sundays early afternoon from spring to fall. You can walk around the interesting outside of the museum all year around. The inside of the original Doty House is packed wall to wall, floor to ceiling with spectacular artifacts, tools and written material all depicting the rich history of the Miami-Erie canal.
Nothing to look at but a canal full of green sludge and weeds. Museum, can not get inside to see anything.
Very historical museum, great learning expeirience
OPEN FROM APRIL-OCTOBER, SUNDAYS from 2pm-4pm
