This is a very special place to walk with paths full of wildlife, we can know the endemic flora of the area and it gives us a great opportunity to share with family and specially with the kids.

Was actually real beautiful to be able to actually walk in the woods and preserve as you really dont have to many in Miami! But my daughter and her friends love walking through these everyday and just exploring

The walk through here is absolutely amazing. Whether youre alone or with friends this is such a peaceful place to take a stroll. There are a high assortment of plants, trees and wildlife (not dangerous) throughout the preserve as well.

FIU has done an incredible job in making this preserve as authentic and native as possible. I hope to see it grow in the coming years

One of the best nature preserve areas in the surrounding of the miami dade county. The FIU has managed to preserve it just like a natural forest. The paths are well laden to make you sure you don`t get lost, the chairs and tables in the mid way provides a bit of relief if you are tired. The whole inside area is quite apt for nature lovers

The location is tranquil and there are some exercise bars and such. The preserve was once beautiful and large taking about 30 to 40 minute walk, but now FIU took half the preserve, drained the beautiful pond to make way for a foot ball training field. It is not the same anymore. Such a grand place cut in half.

It was beautiful and peaceful but its quite small and you can still hear some cars passing by and students by the stadium

Very good place for walking and jogging.

OK for students on campus only, a hassle for outside visitors due to lack of directional signs and parking problems.

Ro
Review №23

Its really small, nothing really special. The track around it is great to run since you got a nice lake and a few outside workout equipment. The preserve itself has one table if im not mistaken, but other than its pretty uneventful.

Such a beautiful place, and a really nice campus.

This reserve is great for running and exercising, or just walking in the middle of trees away from the noise. Its located inside the university. Theres also equipment installed around the reserve which you can use for exercising or stretching.

Best spot on campus to sit and think. Ive seen it shrink since I was a freshman and had a view from my Panther Hall dorm across the street to the entrance to the preserve. Its a shame that it continues to be reduced in size and might be gone soon to make space for more ugly athletic structures. There isnt much to do around campus, and the preserve is a nice little respite from the often chaotic mood.

The lake is gone... Theres no updated maps so you go around and think there is a lake but there isnt. Theres trash and broken sokrts equipment around. Very strange .

The nature preserve is a very nice spot to go to should you want to look at trees or jog on the path the runs around it.It is kind of tranquil and doesnt get too much traffic going through it.If youre an FIU student,I recommend you through here atleast once before you graduate/transfer/drop-out/die.

Not only does this Preserve have Pine Rocklands and a nature exercise path for the community to enjoy, but also they allow graduate and undergraduate researchers the opportunity to sample species in the preserve.
