Overall I really like this park it is a great park.They have a lot of construction going on right now and thats fine doesnt bother me. But one area of the parking lot wasnt clearly closed off because there was space for cars to pass. Some times cones arent completely blocking off areas. Sometimes theyre directing traffic or limiting areas. So I asked the park workers am I allowed to park here. Which is fine if I am not. But then they have to make an unnecessary comment my ability to read. There were no signs there. It was not clear that the area was blocked off because the cones allowed space for cars to pass. Was it really that necessary to be rude about it? Im not trying to cause any problems. Just asking for clarity about the area.

Needs way more lights

By far one of the best all around parks in the area. plenty of ball fields for various sports, really nice track, public restrooms, basketball gym, walking trail, dog park, tennis courts, all around great place for kids

Very nice park!! It has a dog park, tennis,gym, track, 2 play areas for kids, baseball,outside restroom women/mens..hands down best park around..will post pics next time I go!!

Great playground.

It was great to do some sprinting in a track again. Theres not too many places that I know of around NOLA that have a track open to the public. Maybe one day theyll redo the track and put label and good material in it.

Very nice park with a 1 mile walking trail. Very clean and safe in the heart of old metairie.

I will not go to any other Dog Park and I live 10 minutes from Lafreiener Park, but will travel 25 mins to go to Pontiff Park!

Just a great relaxing place. Shady walking paths, nice play areas and clean bathrooms.

Pontiff is clean and well maintained with a walking trail that goes around the park. A well sized gym for park teams such as basketball and volleyball. Baseball fields and tennis area. Swing and slide sets for kids and picnic areas. It is a very family oriented park.

Cool playground! No trash on the ground. My son participated in the Special Olympics there.

The playground was nice, but the table area has not been kept up. The best part about the play area is the amount of shade. There are lots of trees to keep yourself cool and away from the direct rays of the sun. There is also a walking trail and a few swings for young children and babies. There isbpletny of room to run around or bring blankets. You dont get the nice scenery though so it you are looking for a scenic view this isnt the place, but if you need a place for your lids for just go and burn energy take them here.

Fantastic! I have never been out there. Its so nice. I used it for the tennis courts but the whole facility is beautiful.

Love it. Grew up out there throughout my youth + it still has that special charm.However, I hope theyll eventually find funds to set up separate dog park to separate big + small dogs. Like the all dogs policy out by Bonnabel boat launch, I cant enjoy with my small dog since hes overwhelmed by big dogs- even if theyre friendly

Pontiff has made Leaps and Bounds over the years. It has always been a beautiful playground, but now it is a great place for everyone in the family. The walking Track is paved, theres a great dog park, and there are play areas for children as well.

Pontiff is my middle name. Whats not to love? Besides the fact that I grew up around the corner. This park was my backyard. I love it!

I grew up going to this playground, and have brought both of my daughters here. Its still nice, but we were at the playground area that near the golf course, and it smelled heavily of human urine. That playground equipment is still in good condition, but I wish that the swings had a couple of swings for older children. All they have at that part is baby and toddler swings.

I grew up going to this park- but hadnt been there recently. Lovely safe surroundings. But I was told theres an extremely high charge if caught with unleashed dogs- even though I dont see anything about that price anywhere in the park. I was also warned by other dog owners of undercover staff specifically out there to watch for violations.Theres small dog park now way way in back of park.But big + small dogs are not separated. I had to leave because one big dog was particularly fascinated with my sml dog. She was certainly gentle enough but my dog was not interested-my concern was that my small dog would snap at her and there would be a fight that would get dangerous.So I left :-(Its still a VERY lovely areaNOTE: Be aware that since Katrina things have been set up so a lot of the Overflow of heavy rain goes into that Park so expect it to be very wet after a big big storm

As usual with Jefferson Parish parks, this one is well maintained and the staff is excellent. The gym was remodeled after Katrina. The facility is one of the best in the Parish.

Really nice play ground. Theres separate play grounds for little kids and big kids, but the port-a-potty near the little kids bathroom is disgusting. And the other bathroom is far away for a tiny body to make it in time.

The one mile loop is great for running our jogging, and there is also a quarter mile track. I think theres even tennis courts and two play areas for kids.
