Holy cow, what a great little museum! Full of great artifacts and stories from and about local Memphis artists. Tons of great info with interactive kiosks and listening stations. We did the combo pricing with the Rock n Soul museum to save a few bucks, totally worth it, all within walking distance of Beale! Plus hit up Lansky Brothers in the lobby for some fresh gear!
We really enjoyed ourselves. The people were friendly and it was very convenient to the other attractions around town. Also not far from Tunica which is always a major plus.you will be able to experience all genres of music and they put special notice to the Memphis Tennessee artist that have made it. You and your family will enjoy
This place is the smaller sister of the Museum of Rock and Soul. You can get a double ticket for the both. Its not the biggest museum and you can get round it in less that half an hour. Lots of fun exhibits - plenty of fab outfits from the key stars who were instrumental in making music what it is today. A nice museum but not a must see.
Its a quick self guided tour, but there are a lot of cool things to see from music history.
It was a nice quiet place. Smaller than we were thinking it was going to be. Glad we had purchased the combo ticket. Takes less than an hour, for those of you that do itineraries.
Really cool history of the music of the area, part of the territory is that it ties into all the other local historic sights. Very clean and good air conditioning inside.
Its a small but cute museum. It was nice to see how many artists I knew but had no idea they came from Memphis.
If your in Memphis you need to go here it was faboulous lots of great memories
Its small, but informative and interesting.
Loved our experience. Every true music fan should visit this incredible place. Quite the history lesson.
Love this tiny museum on my home from California
So much history, a must stop.
They got a good deal on a tickets package.
Short and sweet. We all enjoyed it
A smaller scale music museum. Had some nice exhibits.
A lot of good history beautiful place nice people
Interesting memorabilia!
Lots of history beautifully done and a wonderful glimpse into the history of rock and rollThis is a must see.
Lots of cool music history. Itty bitty living space.
Very good info of all the early artists. Some interactive displays.
Small but very interesting.
Nice little music museum in Memphis!
Another addition to the musical legacy of Memphis and beyond with past, present and future well represented.
Its nice, small but unique
I was happy to go and support the museum, but it is pretty small. Would love to read more history/stories behind what they had in display
I enjoyed the tour.
Awesome place and Laurie is an amazing ambassador for Memphis Music. Make sure you visit the hall of fame and chat with Laurie while youre there.
It was ok
Beautiful piece of the Memphis music scene history
Wonderful outing!
Really Interesting! Wonderful exhibits and displays. Interactive displays, too. A great inclusion to your music exploration in Memphis.
We enjoyed very much!
The museum was very nice and clean they gave me a tour guide I loved it every time that I step up in the museum they always a guide they have to museums they got one by the Hard Rock Cafe
Son took me from North Little Rock, Arkansas to Memphis, Tennessee. Loved it and had a blast.
8 bucks for what? Not much there. The ten dollar tour at Sun Studios is 100x better. STAX way better, Rock and Soul is great. The tour should be free the only thing that stands out is the kiosk that shows the inductees influences. Other then that you can see everything else and more elsewhere. I think they just borrowed some relics from the Hard Rock Cafe next door and are charging for what was free! And the headphones do not work. Dont go here!!!
Love this place and great coustomer service
Its ok part of Beale st
Not that much to see or learn
Small but nice
Love the music, displays and nostalgia
Loved this place.
No Memphis visit would be complete without seeing this museum. Lots of historical information and displays covering the incredible music scene there.
Much more than expected, self quided. Take your own time, read all the history
Loved everything about it
Small but interesting.
Great time
Good to see more Jacksonville, Il residents going to the Memphis Music too! I seen post on Facebook.
Love this place
Cool place to see but before you go there hit Sun studios tour first thats a must
I love it, the music that sale it is really wonderful, it is located in amazing street!, gorgeous place!.
Nice museum. My favorite was the trivia.
Great museum in an attractive and interesting space. Featuring many of the lesser-knownMemphis legends along with more familiar faces like Elvis, Isaac Hayes, and Z.Z. Top.
A waste of money. More then half of videos and/or sound didnt work. If it was maintained it would be worth $5.
Very interesting history of music from Memphis. Loved the videos with headphones of interviews located throughout the Hall of Fame.
The idea for the Museum is good and there were a few cool exhibits, but I have a few gripes: One thing is that the majority of the headphones located at the exhibits only had one working earphone! Suprising for a New Museum 2say the least. Also, all of the videos looped at each location, not necessarily pertaining to that exhibit... and you couldnt restart them, so if u walked up on a segment u found interesting u would have had 2wait 15 minutes or so for it 2 restart... Aggrivating!Maybe I missed it, but I did not see any list of the inductees of the Memphis Music Hall of fame either... dissapointing. If u really want 2spend 8 or 10 dollars to get some good memphis music history do yourself a favor and checkout the STAX ROCK AND SOUL MUSEUM...Way better in my opinion!
Decent selection, but a bit small.
Very small venue but cool atmosphere
Mediocre. Neat artifacts, but not a whole lot of information and details.
Fun and entertaining.
Not a lot there. Took about 15 minutes to see everything. Not worth the $8
