Great dog park. My dog Sam loves it and its great to let her run without a leash.
We went for a Rugby game, had a good time sitting outside and watching.
This has been a wonderful park to live near. Its so well maintained, has such great amenities and is very open to everyones sports. Were gonna miss being so close.
Good dog park. Fenced, water fornthendogs to drink. It drains well so it doesnt stay muddy after a rain. We enjoy it.
Awesome dog parklots of room to run free in a fenced
Be kept secret in parks in Memphis. Why you might ask...Cause it has an awesome dog park and skate park. The dog park has all the dog amenities and while your dog plays you can watch the folks skate the park. :)
This is a great dog park, its clean and theres a separate site for large and small dogs, we love it
Excellent!!!Great time playing baseball. Good and safe place for family
Great place for baseball games. I played a lot of games here growing up high school.
Been Tailgating there for Tiger football games for 30 years!! Great spot, Baseball fields there, and a beach volleyball area!!
Decent multi-use area for sports. Dog park, baseball fields, volleyball nets, skate park, etc...
Good place for sports, but the drive ways need to be re paved.
Toby park is a great place, their are baseball field, volleyball and a dog park, and a skateboard ramp, a walking area its just a nice place in the neighborhood.Great place.
Great place to park and they have bathrooms
I personally love this park. It has lots of space for my dog to roam, there are tennis balls lying everywhere, and also kiddy pools for your dog to cool off. The small breed and both breed enclosure is very large. There are doggy bag dispensers if you don’t have one.
Southern heritage classic tailgate! We love it!
Nice place to enjoy out door sports
Petra, my friend and pet, loves her Dog Park. The canine visitors and the humans they bring with them are very friendly. Meet a variety of different types and breeds of dogs and people. Come meet and play with good old friends youve never met before.
I had myself a good time enjoying my daughter
Great size dog park especially considering location. Good mix of neighbors and dogs come here. I wish there were more seating available. Ive heard rumors of some poorly behaved dogs but never seen anything too unexpected on my trips thus far. Highly recommend this park over Overton.
Theres a lot to this park: skate area, and ballfields. My experience is entirely with the dog park, so this review is about that area. I think the kiddie pools are a great idea, even if the water in them is incredibly muddy/dirty (which is understandable). There is shade on the small dog side. I went tonight with a foster dog after the sun had set, so it was nice. I expected more people and dogs to be there, but met someone with 2 dogs who was friendly and welcoming (even if his little dogs were being all Alpha towards my medium size dog. I just imagine this place could be really hot during the day, and no shade for humans on the big dog side, but probably completely worth it to be hot for your pup(s) for a half hour or an hour. Besides, most working people wouldnt be going there during the high heat hours.
I like the fact that each section caters to a different sport/theme. Lots of potential for improvements. The downside is that it looks rough. They desperately need a new parking lot, better access to each section from any of the parking lots and new light fixtures in some of the areas. They almost need an organization that can rally together and seek donations for repairs and improvements.
My puggle Charlie and I go to the dog park every day. It is right next to the skate park on Avery just East of Hollywood.
Always nice and clean just need more places to sit
Fun park. Very chill. Beware of dog poop though. I guess that goes without saying.
Great Park. Football Tailgate
Ive begun brining my pups here exclusively. I love all the space for them to run and the pools for them to cool down in. There are plenty of regulars and it doesnt take long before you feel like one, too! Both dogs and people are very friendly! We come almost every day!
Such a fun place for intramurals. Kickball. Softball. Volleyball. Its awesome.
I work closely, so I visit Tobey Park on my lunch breaks, mainly so that I can watch passing trains while I read a good book. I have also brought my bicycle here and ridden laps. Its not the nicest park in the city by any means, but its still a quiet and shady spot to spend time. Its reasonably safe as well, since the Police and Fire Department have a facility nearby so there is always a steady stream of cops and fire personnel driving by. Many people also chose this park as their lunch hour hiding spot, so you might not be able to get that perfect parking spot under a shade tree unless you arrive early.
My son loves the skate park
I always enjoy taking my dog to this dog park. The park is always clean. I feel completely safe whether I am by myself or with a group of people.
I dont know anything about the dog park, but the skate/bike park is very nice. For the street rats there are ledges, flatbar rails, stairs, a jersey barrier, flat banks, hubba ledges, and for tranny theres this crazy art piece/oververt quarter (pictured), two good sized bowls and one of em even has some pool coping and vert to it. Theres pretty much something for everyone. Also, this is not a skateboarders only park. Bike riders are also welcome, as are kids on scooters, but parents, please dont use this place as a day care. If you have a tiny kid out there on a scooter, please keep and eye on him or her so they dont end up splattered. I have seen some ugly collisions go down because of little kids not paying attention to where theyre going. Sorry for turning this review into a lecture. I just want everyone to enjoy the place and leave with all their teeth intact.
This is a nice park.
Softball fields. No shade trees. Lots of pavement.
Great dog park, convenient parking
We enjoyed the hour we spent there. People were nice and the pups were friendly.
The only rugby field in a city park (that Im aware of) in Memphis. My family flew kites there on a windy day. Park was deserted on a clear day in the spring. Its a nice place if a bit off the beaten path.
Rugby. Or something. Some weird European sport.
Great space for dogs! Water fountains and some lights would be great!
Nice sports park and place to play for the kids.
Great dog park
Had a good time with family and friends i.met
A great place to watch the Memphis Blues Rugby Club play rugby on a Saturday !!!
A Solid kickball league is held here
A good place to hang around, have fun with friends and pets, and some activities that may be great for another.
Great dog park
A great place for the dogs to run around
Great sand volleyball courts and ball fields here.
DOG PARK REVIEWThe park has challenges with dog sizes, after two of the dog size areas were combined.A massive dog attacked my medium size dog and I havent been back.Luckily, the other dogs owner was able to help me separate them. There is also very little shade to keep the pets from overheating.
Hey its a park
Love the skatepark
Fun and fun
Great place to watch rugby. Families and dogs welcome.
A great park, which hosts tons of sports leagues.
Quit peaceful location to just sit and think!

Play softball here on Mondays... will teach you to hit the ball down if you are out of homeruns.
Basic city field. Nothing too great to say about it.
