Ruth Funk Center for Textile Arts

This museum brings world class art celebrating cultures near and far. Its a must-see museum and its FREE!!!

Interesting exhibits of art from people and places I have had no knowledge of. Great docents!

Small museum. Excellent for an afternoon. The current exhibit is a quilt exhibit about the fleeing from countrys torn in different strife. Very emotional. This ends in August 2019. Different exhibits come every 4-5 months.

The art is so interesting and diverse. The personnel are very helpful and knowledgeable. Never disappointed.

Carla, Keidra, Donna and Sarah designed and installed a wonderful exhibit of propaganda Japanese fabric art. A visit to the Ruth Funk on the FIT campus is marvelous, and free! Aloha

Always find the exhibits here quite interesting. Excellent curation and a space that is a nice size for a before or after lunch thought-provoking museum visit.

We visited the center in Melbourne Beach and they were teaching African drumming and dancing. It was a beautiful museum with lots of textiles. If youre ever in that area dont miss it.

The basket exhibit is very interesting.

A cool, relaxing environment for appreciating various textile arts. The displays are well-lit and considerately planned out. Docents here give special facts to help the visitor to learn about the artist & their works. A great place for dialogues.Additionally, visitors can wander through the Botanical Gardens pathways for more relaxation in nature.The museum visit is free--existing on donations.Parking in the summer time is easiest on the Babcock St. side lot.

Often visit to see what they are showing. Often new stuff. Can look online to see the latest. At a Florida college. Park in a visitor parking.
