This is such a heart warming walk back in history. I desperately hope that the place can be saved. It has a wonderful atmosphere about it and its a local historical treasure. Bravo to those brave souls raising the necessary funds to purchase the property and restore the house to its prior (1901) glory!

Very historic building interesting to learn about the Wells family. Got a great tour of the house and the story behind the Wells family definitely everyone should check it out before it is gone you should also get a Facebook. And put in Green Gables you may be able to save this from getting bulldozed for another condo on the river.

Great old historic gem tucked away alongside Harbor City Blvd. Our tour guide, John, was simply outstanding in terms of both his superior knowledge and hospitable personality. Even my teenage daughter put her phone away and stayed interested for the entire tour, which John made thoroughly enthralling. I hope they raise enough money to preserve the old place...I gave them a donation, and you should too!

Interesting old building that was abandoned but is now being preserved. I hope it survives because it is on primo land on the river.

Green Gables is a beautiful building. Historically a marvel, and to learn about Mr. Wells and what he did for the city of Melbourne is awesome. I believe this home needs to be preserved for generations to come. One has to come here and cherish it with all their hearts.

Cant rate this place just yet, I was looking for someplace to go for a weekend day trip and this place looks interesting, I will get there sometime in the near future. And when I do you all will be the first to hear about it.
