We didnt stop here, just went through it to get to somewhere else. This town looks awesome. It is definitely on our must see list. Next time we will be stopping.

Awesome variety of shops and places to eat! Parking can be a bit tough, but well worth going!

Charming downtown with ample shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants. Shady sidewalks. However, construction of a new hotel and soon-to-start sidewalk replacements might change tree placement. Great destination. Will explore barrier island shops and restaurants later this weekend.

Quaint, tree lined, mom n pop stores, open air patio dining, great restaurants, cigar bar. I love this beautiful downtown.

We made the trip for a concert! It was awesome! Loved how the street was blocked off so we could walk down the road and see the vendors with our tasty adult drinks!! The music was awesome! Great little get away weekend that wasnt expensive at all. Actually the concert was free. The drinks werent badly priced. You could walk in and out of the shops with your drink with out being told it had to be left outside. Of youre needing a little weekend get away on a budget, GO!

A lot place to go for breakfast. Quite, clean and free parking everywhere.

Nice place in the evenings to go and hangout for a few hours. Nice people I have met there.

If we are talking about events like trick or treating or a nice dinner for date night, this isn’t a bad place to go. However, I always find the night life in downtown Melbourne to be basic and some sort of issue is always popping off, not to mention the many incidents of drugging that’s been occurring lately. I’ve been steering clear.

Its really a great little downtown. They have lots a great shops for clothing, antiques & gifts. They have a lot of great restaurants. Especially great breakfast or lunch at Backwater restaurant.

A really up-and-coming small town with great restaurants and shops I can only see this area becoming bigger and better in the next few years. It has lots of charm and the restaurants are absolutely phenomenal.

We had so much fun in downtown Melbourne. Such interesting little shops!

So many fun and interesting places to look around at and enjoy. It was after 8 and there were still plenty of shops, bars (obviously) and local restaurants to eat at. Art stores were scattered around, giving the area an more scenic feel than a traditional downtown area. We will definitely be visiting the area more while we are in Florida and in the future.

No parking any where!The new Hilton Boutique hotel is UGLY & way too big for that location. Good job approving that beast city council!

Beautiful place. Mondays a lot of places are closed, so plan your trip accordingly.

Nice place to spend a few hours. Longer than that requires excellent company. Or Alcohol, or more, most places in downtown Melbourne serve alcohol!!

The Burger place is great. But most shops are MUST WEAR MASK.

This little shopping and eating district is getting better and better. New shops and restaurants are opening up. The are real improvements. I would try the ice cream parlor, backwater, the burger place and Crush 11. For a good cut and shave, try Alfies.

Went for the Food and Wine Festival. Disappointed that the festivities didnt start until 5 pm!What kind of Food and Wine Festival start at 5 pm to end at 9 pm ???BTW: Good burgers here

Its definitely a small downtown, and the energy level is low

My home away from home. Island Root boasts a loyal cadre of regulars who have become like an extended family for many of us. The atmosphere cant be beat. Conversations about anything and everything can be had at any time of day with anyone. Think Cheers with kava instead of alcohol.

Great place to hang out with friends and family. Lots of diversity in places and activities. Theres something for everyone.

Cozy litle town. Great bakeries. Some of the shops are a little old fashioned

Went to see a play at the Playhouse. Came out from the play and about 30 cars got towed. Nowhere to park in that area. They have a parking garage blocks away. What about elderly people? It was a Saturday after buisness hours. Why are businesses hiring tow companies now to patrol parking lots!?

My favorite venue in downtown Melbourne. They know how to make a martini and will add blue cheese stuffed olives. The sushi is very good. Always a worthy destination.

I love coming downtown to go and walk the shops. From the sun Shoppe, to the Chocolate shop to the Olive Oil shop. All great local buisnesses, and to top it off Megs is downtown. Great place to grab a bite to eat and relax. All and I could recommend more.

We were there at night. We took our family for what we thought would be a nice evening stroll. I would not recommend bringing kids down here after dark. There are several bars and we were approached for money the moment we got out of the car and at least one other time. It may be ok during daytime hours. I did see some nice little shops that looked interesting. Perhaps we will try again during daytime hours.

Going to downtown Melbourne its like taking a walk down Lovers Lane all the nice boutiques great food and entertainment and a small town like this is unbelievable so if you havent been definite come and visit and Ill see you when you get here especially if you need a Lyft or a ride LOL

Went here last night with the family! Absolutely loved the diversity of the area. Started with Hibachi@ Micodos for the food and fun. Fantastic staff! Went to a rock bar, 70s bar, sports bar and country all within a few blocks! Met loads of fun people! Highly recommend!

What a gem right here at home. I love spending afternoons wondering from shop to shop maybe grabbing grabbing a beer at Mainstreet or enjoying a coffee at the sun shoppe. I miss the art festivals being here.

Fun to go to downtown Melbourne and just walk around and check out all the unique bars and during the day its great to walk around and just check out Sun Shoppe and all the other little coffee shops and restaurants oh, also a lot of cool antique and unique stores. Theres even a place that sells just high-quality olive oil.

Some great shops, we got there after dinner and many of the shops were already closed but some stayed open so we were able to enjoy those.

Drive for Lyft and Uber I am down there a lot the cops keep it safe and the drinkers keep it moving downtown all the way check it out

Downtown Melbourne is quaint, fun, artsy place thats close to the beach! Wonderful place! Great bars, eateries, bakeries, boutiques... Awesome!

The shops were so unique and fun to go threw and just look and of course buy things.

Good variety of shops, but they close very early. Not a good place to come with your wife or children because of homeless people who harass you and follow you at all hours, even when asked to stop. Often seems like there is no police presence. Best to go during Friday-Fest or other events so that more people are around. People die on the train tracks and bridge area every year.

Love love love a must do for all visitors. Make sure you read the national signs on the walls and on the plaques telling of our history

Melbourne is my second favorite place to vacation (1st is Clearwater FL). There are things for everyone in the family. Even if you cant find something you want to do you have cocoa Beach down the road and cape Canaveral and if you still cant find something to do then check your pulse cause you might be Dead or you just dont like to have fun. Melbourne is a historic downtown district and you can park once and walk to all of the awesome shops and walk through the art district checking out the art shops and wall paintings.

Downtown Melbourne is awesome! My only complaint is that theres not enough parking.
