Fantastic time seeing restored planes and the volunteer staff were friendly, eager to share their knowledge and experiences. Highly recommend!!
The Aviation Wing was an amazing place with gentlemen that do a wonderful job of explaining the planes that are on exhibit. These fine men also served our country one in the Army & the other in the Airforce.
I had the honor and pleasure to watch my first dedication ceremony of an airplane being placed into display and preservation at an air museum. This is the YC-141B StarLifter. The StarLifter was the first jet powered military transport plane in the world.Among its accolades, it was instrumental in the desegregation of the Lockhead workforce at Dobbins Air Base by making the contract contengent on the integration of the workforce.
My son really liked this place. Its amazing to be able to see inside of air plane.
This place was really cool and the guys who were working and tour guide had great stories.
Best place to visit in Marrietta. Staff was inviting, informative, friendly. Great for adults and children.
It was wonderful. Two pilots gave us a tour on the plane they flew and loved. It made the tour so much fun. It was so informative. I was so grateful for their service and great ability.
Super nice folks working here - and some very cool history. Check it out!
Outside, but you can get up next to almost every plane and go in the back of the C140. Both volunteers are very informative and friendly to speak with.
This place was cool. The veteran pilots that were there helped make the experience even better.
This is a great way to see military planes of the past! My 4 and 5 year old children were almost as excited as my husband! The tour guides were very knowledgeable, polite, and friendly too.
An all outdoor aviation museum right next to Lockheed Martin factory. Greeted and given tour by 3 amazingly kind and knowledgeable volunteer staff - all retired military with great stories and insights. Perfect place to get fresh air and see some impressively huge planes. Picnic tables present, so next time well bring a snack. Two year old plane enthusiast absolutely loved it but then horrified by fake skeleton in glider plane (older 2 kids also not comfortable with swing that). Skeleton in poor taste and should be removed.
The aviation wing was an excellent experience into the history of Lockheed Martin aviation. The volunteer staff of both veteran and Lockheed former employees were knowledgeable well spoken and eager to tell the history of both airplanes and jets on the exhibit and of their own stories and the places they had been. We went for the Veterans Day celebration, and they had free hamburgers for veterans and their families, there was not a large turnout so we were free to crawl into the aircraft they had open and check out everything from the Lockheed Jetstar corporate aircraft to the C-141 star lifter . I would definitely go back on a weekend that I had a couple of hours to just mail around and let the kids enjoy the sights .

This was all a big scam. we paid $20 for the tour guide who didn’t say a word to us and left us. the planes were all old and the engines were taken out. wasn’t cool at all. only a few planes that were all broken down. it wasn’t fun. waste of time and money. the simulation was a old little cockpit of a plane. the pictures and notes on the website was not anything like this simulator. you are lucky i couldn’t give you 0 stars.
Really awesome displays. I took my son on a Saturday afternoon and we had a blast.
Absolutely fantastic! A former fighter pilot and Top Gun instructor gave us a fabulous tour, with lots of info and stories. Got to go into a couple of airplanes and up close and personal with the rest. Even sat in the cockpit of a Lockheed C-141! Highly recommend visiting; and also donating to this non-profit to continue showcasing aviation in Marietta!
Great place to get up close and personal with some amazing aircraft. Our girls, 2 & 4, had a great time. Phillip & Stan were great with the kids & very knowledgeable. Thanks!
Love the history that they preserve.
Nate gave myself and my buddy and his 2 small children a great, informative tour. We got to go in 2 of the planes on display and the kids loved sitting in the cockpits. $5 for adults and $3 for Kids. Definitely a fun afternoon. Theres picnic tables under a huge wing if you want to bring a lunch. Id love to be able to donate and help them further their plans.
Great visit and tour guides make the experience even better.
Great tour of vintage aircraft with history. Every aircraft tells it own story.
Thought it was very cool!! Loved the tour guide and getting to go inside these planes
Great experience for a low price. Tour guides are very kind and knowledgeable.
Good way to spend an hour or two on a Saturday. Friendly Lockheed and military veterans to talk to and learn about little nuances of the displayed aircraft.
Amazing staff, Wonderful stories, Amazing experience!
Amazing tour guides by Lockheed veterans. Keep up the great work gentlemen!!!
The tour guides are all retired military so they all know what they are talking about. It is a super interesting tour, and we learned so much.
The collection of retired military aircraft is very interesting and just damn cool. The staff were very friendly and quite knowledgeable, and did a good job explaining different aspects of the aircraft and answering questions. As a plane lover who has a sizable base knowledge on aircraft, I still learned a fair bit here and greatly enjoyed it. Well worth the $5 entry fee!
Great place to take your kids. My toddler loves airplanes, and he really loved his up close and personal experience here. The tour guides are very knowledgeable and friendly. Will make any day more memorable.
Great plans in the works for STEM programs for youth
Loved it! Very informative and helpful! Always loved history plus artifacts! Keep up the good work!
Love the men who give the tours they not only know their stuff but they are big sweethearts our school visited and the kids loved getting to go inside some of the aircrafts its a quick local thing to do thats fun for the kids and adults
Great place I recommend everyone come see this place
Neat little open air museum. Wish there was more info about the aircraft, and that you could get inside more of them.
Really enjoyed the place and got to learn lot!
It was great especially with Nate he knew were all th ed plans been thanks
The best guide weve ever had - mr. Bill Scott. Thanks a lot Bill for tour explications.
Awesome place with even better staff and cadets. Love visiting.
A truly unique fun experience. My boys absolutely loved learning about the different planes and getting to sit in a plane and act like a pilot. Extremely reasonably priced. I wish they could advertise more. If your just passing thru or live in the area it is well worth an hour or two of yout time to learn about these amazing planes that have traveled the world!
Interesting museum of different aircraft used by the military during the years.. plus a great guide who explains each aircraft and its use..
I was amazed at the C141 aircraft. I attended a car show there and the aircraft were perfect.
Very knowledgeable volunteers who are passionate about airplanes, especially military planes. There is very little shade, so take sunscreen.
Fun place to walk around. The docents were incredible nice and informative. We basically had two private tours.
Enjoyed being around the aircraft. Spent 20 years in the Air Force.
Enjoyed our tour and learned so much:-)
Just plain old fun
Great place to see retired airplanes
