Such a great place to let kids play and use their imagination. Several kids areas on two floors that will keep the kids occupied for hours. Visited here on President Day and it was busy but the space was large enough to accommodate the crowds.Stayed for 2 hours and would have stayed longer if it wasn’t for other plans we had. My daughter wanted to keep performing on the stage (her favorite play area of them all)It’s 9 dollars a person and some would say its expensive. I would disagree with that. For the amount of play areas you get, the price is worth it. Plus seeing your child play and use their imagination is worth it.Highly recommend this place for kids especially on a rainy or winter day.
Its been awhile since Ive been there but when I did go it was fun and the kids really loved it had a great time my grandson doing foam blocks at one another. He laughed his little butt off when I would fall over and act like he knocked me out lots of fun for you and your kids definitely memories
Thus place is awesome for kids. Admission is good for all day, there are dozens of pretend areas for the kids to play and interact with. We were there for almost 3 hours and barely made it upstairs. Every activity my 4 yr/old daughter was saying that one was her favorite, until I finally got her to the next one. Going from memory, and Im sure I missed some, here are the activities: dinosaur fossil find, tree house, bank, grocery store, construction site, veterinary, lego table, car track, water play, fire truck, theater, dentist, red carpet, airport, McDonalds, optimist room, camp site, and more under construction: looks to be something with scooby door and/or farm animals.
Fantastic facility. Well maintained and very obviously well loved by a multitude of children. Age appropriate play for multiple developmental levels, with extremely friendly staff, and the price was excellent, $9/person at the time of my last visit. Parents do have to pay the same price to accompany but its worth every penny. Every Friday they offer a free movement/dance class at approximately 10am, ours was taught by a very enthusiastic and friendly gentleman who is playing The Rat King in the local Nutcracker ballet and he was charming and had excellent ways to encourage all the children to participate and keep their attention. I also appreciate that he used a variety of songs that were as entertaining for the parents as they were for the kids (I was grateful to hear REM and The Crash Test Dummies and not another rendition of baby shark). Id encourage anyone to check it out along with the surrounding Carousel area.
Took my grandson here several times. Fantastic place. So many interactive, learning tools at this place. A truly wonderful local gem! Can’t wait for the new location!
We love the little buckeye. Our little one has so much fun. I just wish it didnt cost so much. Nine dollars for adults seems a bit much, considering you are basically watching your kids. Theres so much different things for kids to explore, and pretend. Definitely recommend for a cold rainy day. We always stop at the carousel after.
Our family visited here before going to Splash Harbor. We have 3 children ages 5 to 10 months. There was something for all of them. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our children want to go back.... Very Soon!
AMAZING!!! Endless hours of fun! So much to do, if you live near by, visit multiple times, and try something different each time.
Good family fun! Great for younger kids, my older (9 year old) grandson got a bit bored after awhile. They loved the music room. Overall a great experience for everyone.
It is great for younger children. When my son was in preschool his class took a field trip and it was awesome. My only criticism is that there arent many things geared toward the 8yo and older. My boys had a good time. I just wish they had more complex activities for older kids
Absolutely loved this place! Went here for the very first time today for my daughters first birthday. Her and her two brothers (4 and 7 years old) had a great time! Not sure why people are upset about parents paying. Even with the kids and adult admissions I thought it was a very reasonable price. Cheaper than a lot of other places. I also LOVE that this place requires the child to use their imagination. Awesome staff also!
Went here for the first time today-my children really enjoyed their experience! Had loads of fun things to explore. Only downfall would be the lack of parking. Also would suggest installing water fountains as the kids are very active here, can understand not allowing cups etc inside- water fountains would be a great solution for all. Thanks LBCM for a fun & fanastic time today :)
An amazing place for imaginative play for children. My kids have thoroughly enjoyed playing here. There is plenty of space for kids to spread out and do their own thing but also an opportunity for interaction and play. Wish prices were a little lower so we could go more often, now having 3 kids it gets a little pricey. Overall worth it when we can fit it into the budget. Our family likes to go to Richland Carousel and then here as it is accross the street. It makes for a great day for the kids during cold or rainy days. Wish there was more parking as well.
This place is awesome. It seemed like it was geared towards younger children which is a plus for me since I have a 2yr old and a 5yr old. The price is not too expensive versus going to other places. The staff is very friendly and the place is very clean and fun. I highly recommend going and will be back with my children.
Great place to bring children and families. We regularly meet family there and with kids ages 1-5 they all enjoy it. The space is small enough we feel safe with them all on the same floor even if they want to do different activities. And there are many different engaging activities! We also love that they have a place to being lunches in and eat! Great museum! We became members our first visit
Such a cute place! We spent a couple hours here with our two year old and completely enjoyed ourselves. Great place!
Today was my 3rd visit in a year. We are not from around the Mansfield area and make an hour trip each way to visit. With that said, my daughter who is 7, loves this place like crazy. You ask her where she wants to go on any day and she’ll say here. However, today, she left a little sad.If you’re traveling from out of town, I don’t suggest going on Saturdays. They’re crazy busy and there’s not much room to play.Parents-please watch your children. Yes, it’s okay to be messy, while learning, but it’s not acceptable to leave your mess for the workers to clean up. I watched the older man who works there clean up rubber wood chips from the dinosaur dig that were thrown all over the floor. Within an hour they were all over the floor. It’s borderline vandalism to me. How on earth did they get out of that exhibit? Teach your children to enjoy AND take care of the exhibits. Poor parenting and supervision. Not Buckeye Children’s Museum’s fault. I applaud the workers who continually clean up after children who leave their messes all over the place. Also, I caution visiting on a Saturday. My daughter’s favorite exhibit is McDonald’s. She couldn’t wait to show her dad, who’s never visited, the cute drive thru McDonald’s that’s upstairs. We arrived at noon and it was booked for private parties all day. Not once could we play there. I understand the need for business, but felt it unfair for those of us who were looking forward to that. Multiple children and families were crushed to learn they couldn’t play. Not the fault of the parties. Please change your policy to after hours only, even if it means charging more.I know my review seems negative, but I want to help those out there that travel distances to this awesome children’s museum. We’ll be back in a few weeks, but never again on Saturday.
Awesome place to take your kids very clean and tons to do.. awesome to see all the local businesses contribute to something for our youth!! We will be back
Very entertaining for both adults and kids... very nice place and plenty to do... doesnt 2 and a half hours the!!
Omg my children had a blast here! $8/person for all day imagination fun and play?! Yes please!
It was great ..it kept the kids entertained for hours ..only complaint is its pretty pricey and I recommend taking a stroller to get from the parking lot to the museum. No close place to park
Drove over an hour from Columbus to check this place out. It was well worth the drive and we will definitely be back. One of the best childrens museums weve brought our 3 year old to yet.
This place is super cool, I loved how all these businesses and club donated to children for the sake of learning skill sets its 2 stories and so much to do!! And relatively affordable!!
Best place to bring kids during hot summer days or cold winter days! Has fun for all ages. Dress up, water play, dinos, farm, building, trains. Fantastically done. Super fun! Always a MUST when visiting Mansfield.
Great place to take kids 1 years old to probably 8 years old. Kids under 2 are free. Awesome rainy day activity. Lots of nice themed sections. Only $8 for anyone over 2.
This is such a great place to take children. The learning and playing is endless. They won’t want to leave.
It’s a great place for kids 2 and up. It’s ridiculous parents have to pay $9. Kids should be the only ones charged... kinda ridiculous but sadly it’s the only thing in the area for children.
Needs more wipes and sanitizer. Like we should be able to wipe down play areas and each play area should be assigned needs a little more organization
Engaging, fun, creative space for little ones. Very appreciative of a place that encourages free roaming, handling toys; great time for parents to play with their kids or just watch.
Amazing visit to Little Buckeye Childrens Museum this weekend. My grsndsons had a blast. I enjoyed coffee snd watching them play and learn.
Me and my girlfriend took our daughter out a couple weekends ago when we went on a little vacation outside of town and found this place. It really is a hidden gem! Our daughter had so much fun and just seeing the smile on her face with all the interactive sites at this location was amazing. If you’re looking to have a great time with the family I highly recommend this place also the pricing is very cheap and affordable.
Any time my three year old gets to pick where we are going to go on a day off, he chooses this childrens museum. He loves it! Theres a good variety of activities for young kiddos and plenty to explore.
Great fun for kids and adults alike. Lots to do to keep kids entertained. (I took my 3, 7, and 10 year old and they were all entertained until we had to leave 4 hours later)
Kids love this place so much to do! Had my daughters birthday party here once also, we got a reserved area to have our party and kids got to play everywhere!
Nice place with several different activity spaces for little kids. Bathrooms on both floors, too!
Five stars every time!We drive from Sunbury at least once a year and spend the day at this gem. They seem to really embrace the idea that play is learning. They dont get mad about the mess or the noise. They really let the kids free play to their hearts desire. They even have people on staff to clean up the mess now. This is amazing to me!! What a gift to give to parents and children.
Great for small kids up to maybe 10 years old. Super fun. Two floors. Great for kids. Lots to do and play
Brought my four year old to play. He really enjoyed himself. They gave a water area with rain jackets to borrow, you should still bring an extra set of clothes just in case. They have matchbox cars, a dino pit, a McDonalds restaurant play area, train and plane exhibit/play area, dentist chair, and so much more. I would not bring my kid if they were ten or older, unless they still like to play toys. I will definitely bring my son here again.
A wonderful place. At $9 a person it is an affordable outing. 5 stars is not enough.
My 4 year old daughter had a great time, there were so many activities for her to enjoy! We will definitely be back!
My kids loved this place. I would say they have something for kids of all ages up to like 10- or 12. They have a tree house that the kids enjoyed climbing up and sliding down, a fire truck and outfits to dress up, a grocery store, water fun, train room and large blocks for building plus much more. Great activity for the price.
Awesome place. The grandchildren head a blast
Best interactive play to stimulate young minds! Get the year round package, its worth it...no one gets tired of going back, new things discovered each visit! My grandson fed me lunch, curled my hair, played music in a play, showed me water works, built a fort, went on a camping trip, drove a fire truck, cleaned Grandpas teeth at the dentist, delivered mail and the list continues....all before lunch!
Fun place for kids. Great past time place.
It has many activities for children of all ages.
Such a fun place for kids. So many hands-on activities.
It was nice there were some fun things for the kid to do but there was a lot that was closed off
Its such a cute little place. A lot of different areas for kids to learn and play.
Great place for kids and fun for whole family even for infants!
So, for a first visit, it was absolutely incredible! There are so many ways to let your little ones have a blast, and not gonna lie, my inner child came out to play too! Definitely recommend going, and I found out that there are some pretty awesome deals available. They do discounts for Active Duty, Veterans, and for familes on EBT to make sure everyone has a chance to enjoy the fun and creativity! Go check them out!
Had a great birthday party for my nephew!! The kids absolutely loved it!!
Kids love it! Parents do to!!!
Great place to take toung kids to play.
Amazing place! So many interesting role play areas for the kids. You could spend all day! Have never seen a place like this!
Its a great place for kids to run around and have fun.
This museum is so much fun for little ones. We took our one year old and she had a blast. The water plat area is amazing.
Such an awesome place to take the kids to. So many different fun learning stations the kids have an absolute blast of a time. Both upstairs and downstairs are packed with exhibits and a couple of new exhibits are currently being built
My go to place with 2 year old grandson! This place is awesome..2 levels with lots and lots of interactive things to do for kids! You can have birthday parties and take classes here! Plan to spend atleast a few hours! Very inexpensive as well! Awesome memberships for family&grandparents!
Great place to have the kids learn and explore while having fun. We rented the upstairs party room for my daughters birthday and there arent many chairs for the adults to sit. Also one of the staff members were a bit rude when it was time for us to clean up and leave. Besides that, my kids always have fun here.
Amazing place for kids of all ages!!! Cant wait to see what they do when they move to the bigger building!!!
Having somewhere to take my offspring no matter the weather is invaluable. The family membership is amazing. I cant say enough about the little buckeye
It was awesome! My kid loves this place so much.
Great interactive stations for various ages. A bit pricey, no drinking fountains, easy for kids to run between stations..I wish there was a divide or door on the lower level by the desk and between the first and 2nd rooms of the museum as I normally have multiple children with me. Several disruptive children that were unsupervised when we visited last.
My boys 5&8 love this place. They want to stay all day and beg to come back.
Very fun for us parents to watch both our 2 year old and 6 year old equally enjoy about 3+ hours of dressing up, interactivity and playtime. Worth the drive from Columbus!
Our kiddos love to spend a few hours here when we have a rainy or chilly day! So much for the kids to do and fun for all ages! The only thing we found odd is both children and the adults have to pay to get in!
This place is great ! 2 stories of fun things for the kids to do. We had 3 kids ages 3-7 and it kept then entertained for hours. They loved it!
Excellent place to take children or grandchildren. They will experience many career and fun activities.
It is a nice looking place for a play cafe. But my wife and I were sticker shocked by the admission fee for children AND adults. We are from Columbus and I accustomed to only paying a fee for a child at a play cafe. I can not imagine they get much local business.
This is an amazing place for families with children. The coty feel of all the businesses is so fun. Ive never seen a full-size beauty salon and stage for make-believe play before. The electric train was fun to watch, also. The biggest negative is that the second floor is not wheelchair accessible so that limits access to some families.
Very nice place. My daughter loved it and had so much fun!
I remember going their as a child and having so much fun and now my siblings got to enjoy the experience I had when I was younger
Awesome fun had a private Birthday party it was absolutely fun!!
Great place. Our son loves it!
This Museum is AMAZING for younger kids. We spent over 4 hrs there and my boys were upset we were leaving. Definitely going toake a trip to go back.
Blow away by how awesome of a time we had. A perfect way to spend the day with your children and watch their imaginations explode!
I purchased a year birthday membership and its kinda expensive but totally worth it. We visit every couple weeks. TONS of activities for kids of ALL ages. They also have a music and movement class every Friday, along with other special activities a few times a month.I will absolutely renew our membership.I love being able to support my community. They also have an affordable membership called Helping Hands for anyone that qualifies...
Makes my son happy.
So many great things about this place! The way my little boys eyes light up when we come here is priceless! Exploring dinosaur bones to working on a car is a great way to get his imagination going! Staff is very nice! Also it was the perfect place to have his birthday party! Highly recommended!
The kids love this place. Lots of different things for them to play with and explore. From the tree house to the small town setup with bank, store, post office, hair salon, etc. Constriction area and even be on TV wile on stage. Go upstairs to run your own McDonalds, build some more, explore the school house and watch the huge model train exhibit. Definitely worth a visit!
Great place to take your young children. We have a yearly pass and really got our monies worth
Such a cute museum! Theres free parking down the street by the antique carousel.
This place is AMAZING! I recommend going here for anyone with kids 10 and under. They will be entertained for hours and you will likely have to drag them out of here. Its a great place for parents to meet up to talk or breathe while their kids have fun playing with more things than they can possibly grow tired of! I cannot recommend this place enough!!
Great place for kids to play. Many things to do for all ages. My grandson enjoyed our time here. He asks to go back all the time.
To many kids running around sick touch stuff where other kids got to touch
This is every childs dream come true, and the best part, they LEARN while theyre having a blast! My three year old and 18 month old seriously had an amazing time, and it was so much fun to watch them learn and explore. I would recommend to every parent, with children of all ages. Im 25 and I even had fun! I cant wait to go back!
This is my favorite place to take my kids on a winter or rainy day. Staff is so polite and friendly. There are so many wonderful tools and toys for the kids to play in and they love it so much. A membership is definitely worth it!
Great place to take your kids. Very cute place, very affordable and everyone there is always so friendly
My grandchildren love it.
Such a great time. The interactive themes are awesome.
My grandson loved this place & were going back Sat for his bday party!!
My son absolutely loves going to the Little Buckeye! We had his 3rd birthday party there and he still talks about it a year later. Its hands-on, creative learning that positively impacts the rest of their life! My son is very creative in his play and I know that Little Buckeye has only expanded his creativity. We love going in the Winter on Snow Days.
What a wonderful place for growing little minds. Never knew it existed.
We’ve had a membership for the last couple of years and visit as often as possible. It’s such a great rainy-day activity and the ever changing and expanding exhibits keep my kiddo entertained every time! The staff is wonderful and always so welcoming.
This is like heaven for kids aged 2-8. They have several toy-themed areas where kids can be construction workers, fire fighters, beauticians, actors, doctors, play with legos, dolls, and dinosaurs, etc.
My kids love this place. Great place to go when kids need to burn off energy.
