Great place to go in the summer and swim. You can rent boats and buy food at the shelter. Great fishing on docks and nice woods to walk in. They hold great camps in the summer. Five stars totally recommend

Great park off Monroe street. Launch is suitable for a variety of boat sizes, but great for kayaks and canoes. The lake is non-motorized so very kayak and canoe friend. Parking at the park is limited, get there early!

This lake is so calm. It can be pretty full on busy days, but there are no motor boats aside from a few fishing boats. I have a membership for the boat rental place and is one of my favorite places to going kayaking.

This park is good. The people of Madison gather here to lay about and drink beer. There are small boats, softball fields, and the log rolling team gathers on the regular.

One of our favorite parks. Great place to go for a picnic by the lake. We also launch our Kayak here for short trips around the lake. Monroe street is nearby for custard or a snack. There are several sports fields that are fairly frequently used, but also a lot of open space for general use. Some great old oak trees on top of a hill make a great spot for a picnic with a view over the lake toward the arboretum.

Great park for the kids! Lake Wingra is right there for cooling down, and dont forget your grill, so you can spend even more time there! Drop a fishing line in the water and see what you can pull out. So much fun for everyone in the Family.

This reviewer enjoyed the peaceful ambience of the parks many trails and nice facilities. However, I was perhaps slightly (to say the least!) disturbed by the abhorring amount of inebriated, angst-ridden youths gathered round a makeshift bonfire. Now, I am all for having a good time, but a few of them even had blood inexplicably smeared on their hateful, vapid faces. Sufficed to say, I got myself and Constance (Golden Doodle, pure bred naturally) the heck out of there! So while Im conflicted, Im also undeniably intrigued by this new tribal youngster fad. My ruling: a cautiously optimistic three stars.
