Very nice city park. We really like the hiking trails. Its really not something you think you could find in the city limits. We had our toddler as well. He had fun on the playground, which isnt super modern but is in good condition.

This park, within walking distance of my childhood home, is one of Madisons many fine parks. It is a personal favorite with several lovely hikes. We ran into Tim from Friends of Hoyt Park during our visit and were lucky to receive an impromptu personal tour!

A forest inside the city! You can go to walk or run, there are also grills for your barbecue if you wish to do it, just be warned that this beautiful place will have many hungry mosquitoes during summer.

Hoyt park is amazing!! This is my go to spot for going for walks with my dog and great place to take my kids. It has: great views looking over Madison, great stone work paths, exposured rock cliffs, a big field, a basketball court, great playground, and two pretty big shelters. Its a great place to feel outside of Madison inside of the city. Only downside is the occasional broken glass (usually near lookout) from inconsiderate people.

Great place to host picnics, go for a run, pick black raspberries or look for birds. Has a playground, basketball hoops, and big field. Theres a good variety of places to walk - in the woods, along the old quarry walls, in the prairie area. Very pretty!

This park is a hidden gem in the Madison area. It has an open, semi flat field so it is great for most kinds of yard games. There are also fire rings available to use and a small pavilion along with a small playground for kids.

An often overlooked park. A great place for a family picnic, a wonderful play-park for the kids, nice trails and some fine geocaches for those who might be interested. Was a perfect location for our churchs summer picnic and the start/finish line for church schools 5K fun run.
