I’ve been coming to this park since I was a kid and it’s nice being able to bring my kids here. We live locally and come out several times a week. We’ve been volunteering and rebuilding the pump track next to the BMX track and that’s been rewarding. We use the RC track all the time as well as the playgrounds. There are a ton of other things to do here at lake park including canoeing and kayaking as well as fixing and walking in the woods. The playground areas and picnic areas with BBQ grills coupled with acres of nice grass fields, makes this place all around awesome for the family.

Beautiful park! There are 2 playgrounds for the kids to play at. Plenty of hiking trails. Places to fish. You can rent a rowboat or even a kayak! Bring you horse it you choose to! There is also an Archery range on the property. Self pay kiosk, a couple restrooms a RC course and a BMX arena with grandstands all around. This park has it all for the outdoor lover. Lots of shade as well!

I love coming here during a nice day! The trials are amazing and there’s so much to do for everyone. I see people love to bring their horses here to ride, there’s canoeing available, there’s a kids park here, and more! The even park has events every now and then. I personally love to bring my dog, Rose, and her big brother, Gage, here because she loves this park. Rose is super energetic and there’s so much area for us to cover on the trails that she is pooped by the end of the park visit. Just to give you an example, the last time I came in I spent an hour walking to the park and an hour coming out of the park and I did not even finish the trail. Just a heads up if you’re a dog owner, lots of dog owners love to come here but so far everyone I’ve come across, including employees, has been polite and respectful. The only downside to this park is that it floods easily so I try to stay away after a rainy day.

This is a large park that offers a variety of things to do from fishing, kayaking, walking, biking, archery, and driving remote control vehicles. They have pavilions that you can reserve for large parties. Its very clean and they have water stations throughout the park along the walking trails. They also have built in exercise equipment along the trail. There are several play ground areas throughout the park. There is an archery range area that has some neat trail areas around it that are more wooded. We were very impressed with the BMX track and RC remote control track where you can drive your remote control cars. Great place to bring the kids or come and take a quiet stroll.

This park is a hidden gem. There is a beautiful, partially shaded exercise and fitness trail (with three water stations along the way). Additionally, there are tons of great off-road trails winding their way around the park, great for cross country runs, mountain biking, hiking, etc. Yes, there is also the BMX track, and archery range, and RC car track, canoe and kayak rentals, picnic pavilions... all pretty cool and well maintained. Definitely worth the $2 entry fee.

Very nice, clean, open park for the family. We came here for the first time one week ago and have come two times already. There are many fun things you can do at the park. We love it!!

This is a nice little park! There were a few places on the trail that goes around much of the perimeter that werent marked very well but the trail was well maintained.

Entry fee to park is $2 via an automated machine (accepts cards). Park looks maintained and cared for. I would love to come back and explore it more!

Beautiful park that seems to never get too crowded with people. For the fitness minded, there is a nice walking trail with exercise stations that goes around the lake. Has nice open areas and pavilions for picnicking and has a nice playground for kids.

Its a well maintained park. Each time I go I discover something new. Theres a great running path that loops around the whole lake and a hiking trail that is quite a distance.

Lake Conservation Park is beautiful and full of wildlife. It has gorgeous hiking trails, a paved trail for runners, plenty of picnic areas and open spaces, tracks for remote controlled vehicles (pretty cool, right?), and even a BMX course. I came to hike the trail as part of Hillsborough Countys annual Hiking Spree and to take some nature pics. During this years hike, I saw a young deer, two snakes, plenty of wading birds, and gorgeous scenery all around. Overall, a great asset not too far from downtown Tampa.

Come out and join us for Archery lessons every weekend. We have a lot fun

Very fun big and beautiful park.

Super quiet. Enough space for everybody to have their own plot of land annoy. I did not get to venture throughout the whole part, but I just love the whole set up of it. A very beautiful place. I will be returning soon

We didnt get very far into the park due to our own mobility issues and noticed all the fitness stations are gone so is the benchs. I wonder whats happening to such a beautiful park, it saddens me to see it that way.

$2 entrance fee. The park is well cared for and I appreciate the water stations along the path. They also have excercise stations along the trail.

Entrance is $2 per car and its well worth it. Park is clean and well maintained, we have not be throughout the whole park but the parts that we have is worth coming back. There is a BMX area, a few playgrounds, horse trails, canoeing and rentals, volleyball and other great activities.

The park is nice, but owners need to keep their dogs on a leash. The dogs run all over the trails ahead of their owner and this can be scary to others with small children riding bikes or riding horses. I am not sure why the Park Rangers do not get involved I never see them in the park. I hope if this is reviewed someone will take note this law needs to be enforced for the safety of everyone. JMSH

Most of the park is closed off because of flooding on the road. You cant pass to the rc track section and where there is a small slip in one of the lakes. Last time I was there was over a year ago and the road to the rest of the park was closed then! Fine just dont have signs out saying the park and all its sections are open.

This place is awesome! Took the family here to drive rc cars and it was great. They even have power outlets for charging. The track is huge. The park is also very big.

This place has a dirt bike thing and archery range, which make it stand out. The hiking is okay. Part of the trail is next to the road so you can hear cars, and its unclear from the signs how to loop back around to where you park. If youre local then its not bad but its not something Id drive to to go hiking.

Cute park, was closed Christmas Day when we went. We peeked around to see trails, workout area, etc. Got some caches there. Nice place to walk your dog. Seems like the ranger lives on site. Didnt get to see entire park, will return in future.

This place is beautiful, not crowded, leads to various off trails, peaceful, and clean. Staff is great too! Bathrooms are clean and trash areas are tidy. All around very nice and affordable experience

Awesome park. I go here to shoot and walk the trails with my dogs. The archery range is great for $2 all you can shoot and even have private lanes. The trails are well kept and really wide so youre not crammed. Great place overall.

As a teenager, I used to spend hundreds of hours working on service projects in this park. Im utterly delighted they have kept it up so well over the years. It is a fantastic little park, and should be enjoyed by everybody.

Beautiful park, loved all the fields for activities, the jungle gyms, clean bathrooms, they even have a clay track for remote control cars with a tall viewing stations so the entire track can be seen for driving.

Park now open, I think -- and Ive yet to go visit it myself. I have a friend in north Tampa area / Lutz who thinks it is a great park. She even wanted to host a field day-cookout with a bunch of friends there, but the park was closed for months due to a sinkhole on property. Before she got inspired again to host such a field day, she started a new full time job which, along with her family, gets lots of her energy. Im now giving this park a generic positive star rating of 4 stars, based on her past enthusiasm for it.The review below was written while the park was closed for a long time._ _ _ _ _ _ _Early 2016:PARK CLOSED, therefore, 1 star, until it reopens. As of May 2016, this entire park has been closed for several months due to a major sinkhole. Do a Google search for Lake Park Tampa sinkhole. The sinkhole has yet to be filled. Weve been awaiting park availability. Finding out park re-opening date has been impossible. Tampa Parks and Rec folks had to ask around and take my number to have someone call me back. Staff member who called me back the next week left message with two important pieces of information: (1) the rest of the park -- roads/parking, I guess -- has been checked and cleared for sinkhole danger, and (2) the park property is owned by government of St. Pete -- strangely, enough -- so for the sinkhole to be fixed, Tampa has to negotiate terms (coverage of expenses, I guess) with St. Pete. Unfortunate, as this is surely slowing the repair and reopening.

Well, Lake Park has re-opened after being closed due to a sink hole for over one year, and it has changed a great deal. You can no longer get back to the BMX & RC tracks from the Dale Mabry entrance. The roadway going back there is permanently blocked due to flooding. No longer can you hike/walk/run around the Lake Starvation, the loop is gone. No longer is the trail around the other lake, where the sinkhole was located. Yes, its disappointing, but the exercise trail is restored, just no loop. The dog /pet area has also been closed and was removed. alot has changed from before the sinkhole fiasco.

I just moved here from Orlando and I was glad I found this park for my morning walks, I have walked the trails and have done some jogging. The park is well kept and scenery is great, glad I found this place!

Shame on Hillsborough and Pinellas counties for not resolving this sink hole issue. And shame on Pinellas county for wanting to raise the land lease from $1/month to $3000/month. Never even got a chance to visit this park but its disgusting what these two governments put their constituents through.
