We come here for all of our golf needs: grips, clothes, clubs, bags, etc. Always have a great experience with helpful staff and today was no exception. Thanks to Evan for his patience and tips at the golf simulator, regripping my club on the spot, and for the advice on a new driver. Very knowledgeable!
Great people who can take of anything you need having to do with golf.
I purchased a new driver shaft on late July from the Louisville store. I was told the shaft had to be ordered and would take 5-7 days to get in and be installed.A week later I called and was told there wasn’t any new update as to when my club would be ready.I stopped by the store around Aug 6th and was asked “did you get a phone call update”? My answer was “no”, no call. Rep asked me if I wanted him to get an update? Obviously, I said yes. I was then told the shaft was on backorder and wouldn’t be in until the end of August.I asked for a refund on the appropriate $70 charge I prepaid, because the order hadn’t shipped. A Mgr was called and I was told He would have to call Corp to get a credit authorization. After a 10 minute wait I told the rep to please get Mgr so I could finish and be on my way.The Mgr came out visibly agitated that I was so bold to ask for a refund for this botched order. He grabbed the paper work and said, “follow me up front”. I went up to store front and finished the credit. The Mgr gave me the credit copy and turned his back, not saying anything about how they mishandled my purchase.I don’t write reviews, but was so annoyed by how Golf Galaxy Mgrs handled my request to cancel my purchase, I thought it necessary. If I had been told the purchase would take 6 weeks, I would have simply said “no thanks”. Instead of the Mgr saying anything to mitigate the delay, he was mad at me. DONE WITH GOLF GALAXY!, after years of being a good customer.I called Golf Headquarters In Louisville and asked about getting that driver shaft? Their answer, “the manufacturer was back ordered and Golf Galaxy should have know that and advised me of that delay, rather than taking my purchase knowing they had no idea when they could deliver. Answer: blamed it on COVID 19. Consider your options and be an informed shopper.
Very helpful and patient with a young golfer.
Friendly staff, decent prices.
Fitted by Chris. Great job. Bought clubs that were perfect for me.
Golf Galaxy Awesome please and Good People
Great selection and friendly service
Really friendly staff. talkative. helpful. launch monitor numbers arent unbelievably off either - good place to go for golf
The club making department is a joke. They had my clubs for over a month, promised to deliver them at D4 swing weight and called back and said the only way they could get the swing weight up that high would be to add lead tape to the clubs. This information came a month in, and not at the point of sale.I had assumed they had the ability to actually add weight to the club head (hot melt, cotton balls, yarn) but apparently they can only do very basic club building. The only upside of the whole experience was it took them so long (from Dec into Jan) that I got 1/2 off the grip installation. Save me probably 3 dollars. The staff is nice enough, but not knowledgeable about equipment... or club building. I will not bother going back there again.Golf Headquarters will get all of my future business for equipment purchases and Clubfit International (who Golf Headquarters recommended) will get my business for any club building needs. The level of service, knowledge and overall friendliness at Golf Headquarters takes it head and shoulders about Golf Galaxy. Support the people who are passionate about the game and care about their customers. Dont waste your time in Golf Galaxy.
Kim hit the nail on the head. They had a good selection as long as you want stock equipment, go down the street if you was anything special, even the employees at the store said they shopped at the store down the street. Service was friendly at the store but they didn’t order my custom order driver when bought, they wouldn’t help or call back to provide status, and customer service didn’t know what was going on and said they would contact me back in 3 days. That’s 8 days after purchase. If you go to taylormade’s website you’d know that the driver should have shipped in about 5-6 days yet we are looking at 16-18 days. How is this possible?
Great selection...Great product helpGreat attitudes.....One review complained that they spent 30 minutes in store without acknowledgement..My ability to explore throughout the store without being hounded and annoyed is what I like best.... staff is helpful and available without being pushy or in any way annoying.
I do all my golf shopping here. Everyone in the store is knowledgeable and willing to help at all times. I have taken my whole family in the driving bay for testing and fitting. The staff is very helpful and family oriented! Realistically I could not ask for a better experience each and every time.
The people who work there havent even mastered being decent human beings. So not surprisingly, the customer service is lacking. They are also extremely overpriced...just order online from the factory and save yourself a trip. This place was an absolute waste of time.
Professional PGA staff is very helpful in all aspects to include equipment selection and golf swing analysis.
If you buy a used club there, make sure youre prepared to spend a half hour removing the used sticker and gunk off of the shaft of your club.
Upon visiting the Shelbyville store on 03/04/15, the young lady, I assume was the manager, went the extra mile for me. I wanted to exchange a cover, she could of said no but instead she found the right one for me and exchanged it. She also instructed another young lady to help me with adjusting my driver.EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!
Came in to get a fairly new club reshafted as it had broken while at the driving range. Tim said hey lets check with the manufacturer to see if maybe its covered. ...it was just barely two years old. Thanks to Tim the manufacture not only replaced the club but gave me an entire new set!Very friendly great customer service and these guys love and no golf highly recommend
The help was courteous. They answered my questions and directed me to the products I was looking to purchase. They updated my profile to my current information.
They are always quick and do a great job on club adjustments and putting on new grips.
Great selection of everything that you would need to play golf.
Excellent staff. Store is top notch
I will only give them future business based on chance proximity to the store. I liked the pro but the rest of the folks I dealt with, except the lady running the store, were not good at all. I went in to schedule a club fitting for a total new-iron buy. I happened to be in Louisville for my wifes med appt so I stopped by to schedule. I met with the pro and one of the fitters. They both acknowledged a good date and time to coincide with my wifes next med appt, as I have to drive over an hour to get to Louisville. I showed up a little early for my scheduled fitting, with Ken, and checked in with him. He didnt give me the time of day and was working with someone else. I waited for more than 15 minutes past the start of my fitting when I happened to catch the eye of the pro. He remembered me and asked how it was going. I told him. We went and found Ken who in a fit of exasperation said Im busy and cant do the fitting now. I asked about waiting. He said it would be at least another 30 minutes before we could start. That didnt fit the schedule so I let the pro know. He apologized and we re-scheduled so he could do the fitting. That fitting occurred right on time and was perfect. I cant remember his name, although I think its Bobby. A few weeks later I brought in clubs to get re-gripped. Ken waited on me and said theyd call me when the clubs were ready. They didnt. I ended up calling them; then went to pick them up and every clubs grip was not seated, anywhere from a 16th of an inch to a half inch, except for the 6 iron which I could take the end of the grip and bend it completely over itself and touch another part of the grip. I had left the store so I called the pro and let him know that I appreciated his help but that GG would not get my future business or potentially anyone else I told my story to.
Worst retail store Ive ever been in. walked around the store for a half-hour nobody even acknowledge my presence. I was ready to spend some money on a driver, I guess I will go to the real golf store in town...golf headquarters.
Good selection of golf supplies. Just wish they carried more gd clothes specifically more Nike apparel.
Good selection of gold clubs and gear.
Golf headquarters...
