So my running group and I frequent bugsys on Wednesday nights. Its the best. Its a local bar, the bartender is great, despite the fact that we all come in at once hes fast and makes great drinks. They also have karaoke and miniature golf. Super fun local hang out with great late night drink specials.

Huge selection of arcade and pinball. Getting a drink was easy and fast. Staff are all really nice. Food was good. Veggie burger wasnt the greatest though. But they do have several vegan options which is good. Machines are fairly priced. Many are only one token. Good mix of classics and 90s games. And some rare cabinets too. All of the controls on games I played worked. Really fun time. Highly recommend checking it out.

Great concept, although the Barcades in NY have already set the bar higher with all games being 25 cents and the use of tokens. At Brewcade, one machine ate my quarters (though the bartender was nice enough to replace them), the games arent clearly marked about how much they cost and which slots to use, and its super cramped in here. Nice that they had the Anchor Christmas brew though.

Really tasty fresh pasta. The cheese sauce was very rich and filling. It almost was too much. The meat sauce was tasty. We added the burrata, a great option. A pasta serving on its own isnt probably enough for a lunch, you likely will need to add a salad.

We just visited for the first time and plan to return soon since wed like to try the food (it smelled amazing, but wed just eaten a big dinner elsewhere). While they dont have the more modern, newer tech games youd see at a D&B, thats not really a loss since they have way more pinball and retro arcade games (and lets face it, theres way more charm to these older games). It was nostalgia heaven for my husband and me - they have so many games I havent played (or seen anywhere!) since childhood, so we had a blast. Its also way more cost effective than going to a D&B - it took the two of us a couple of hours to get through $20 worth of tokens. The employees all seemed friendly, too!

I havent had this much fun playing a game in years. It was amazing and a great social experience. The rest of the place seemed pretty awesome as well, plenty of variety in arcade Barcade games for you to play. I dont drink, but they did seem to have a decent lineup of drinks for those that do. They also actually had a really good lineup of non-alcoholic drinks as well.Barcade

Honestly, Ive been here 3-4 times and each time was great until the last visit I had here. The bartender was a total Barcade . Could not help but realize that he was helping his white counterparts Barcade and ignored the people of color. Additionally, he insisted on keeping my tab open irregardless of being instructed to close it twice.Barcade

First time here. Tyler was wonderful. Well drinks have a good pour, nice selection of beers. Fun games, not crowded on an early Saturday, during Happy Hour. The only thing I would change, I would like to hear a larger selection of music. As a person of a certain age I would like to listen to a few songs I know.

Fun arcade, great beer selection, and surprisingly tasty food! The arcade games all seemed to be working, and lost of options, spaces to set your beer, and lots of tables around too. The menu of local/micro brews is spot on, having enough choices besides IPA. I only tried the nachos, with chicken, and the grilled chicken. Surprised me with its tastiness. All around, highly recommend!

Came for the pinball and was not disappointed. Great selection of pins from a variety of manufacturers (Even Jersey Jack and Spooky!). The games are a little more than most places in LA (Usually 3 Tokens which is equal to $0.75), but as I played all the machines it dawned on me that its kind of worth it. The machines are really well maintained and clean. I didnt run into any sticky buttons, flippers, or any non-functioning mechanics. The people there care about your playing experience and it shows. Even their oldest games look and play like new. My one and only MINOR gripe is the thin tables between every machine. Theyre butted up against every machine, which I get is there to hold your beer or whatever, but it makes nudging the machine to save your ball a difficult task, especially if someone else has their beer on one next to you.. A lot of other places have a single drink holder down on the front leg, which I prefer more. But, its ok.. not a massive deal. Other than that.. Food is great and a good beer selection. Highly recommended!

Being here the first or second time its a good spot to check out. Afterwards this place is not all that great the beer selection is weak and I would have preferred it to stay hard was before. I think it was a restaurant but it was good food compared to what it is now. The food here is not that good. I just go for the arcade and not even the beer because the beer selection is weak once again.

This Barcade is a Bar + Arcade. That’s why it’s named Barcade. They’ve combined the two words into one, which could be confusing to tourists. See, imagine you smashed the word Bar into the word Arcade — get it now?Plenty of retro titles to explore and a zany menu means that adults with fond/traumatic memories of Showbiz or Chuck E Cheese will feel right at home wrapping their hands around the bacteria-laden joysticks that have been pawed by a thousand white men. There are no live animals at this location, and no “edible newspaper.”

It was a fun place. A lot of great games and some classics and unique international selections, but they missed on their selection of shoot-em-ups (which to me is classic arcade fun!). Walk spaces get kind of narrow, so bumped beers was common. Lots of beer variety from all over and the fries were great, so based on that Id guess the overall food is good, too, but we didnt eat. I thought it was one of the cover-charged-entrance-and-play-for-free, but it was actually kinda fun to play with tokens. The games were reasonably-priced, too. The hippie-dippie crowd was also not my vibe, but you gotta consider youre going to one of the most gentrifying neighborhoods of LA.

You know when you start dating someone and somewhere along the way you discover they have a secret talent? My fiancés is arcade games. I found this out at a tiny arcade outside Boulder, Colorado where he walked in, promptly beat the high score on the Donkey Kong Jr machine, typed his initials onto the leaderboard, and walked right out. Now, Im a child of the 90s and not particularly good at games, so I have to say I was impressed. Since then weve checked out a ton of arcades together and while I wouldnt say Barcade is my favorite ever, its certainly a good time.Barcade is essentially split into two big rooms, both with a bar (although the back room bar wasnt open when we were there on a weeknight). Despite all of the old school games inside, this spot is new and feels squeaky clean. The bar offers a pretty huge tap list as well as wine and cocktails--I personally thought the prices were good for LA. There are a handful of tables on the edge of both rooms to sit down and sip on your drink. They do have food here and while we didnt try any, I have to say that was probably the worst part of my first experience with Barcade. As soon as we walked in I was hit in the face with the smell of fried food and it didnt go away the entire time we were there. Our jackets smelled like it when we left which was kind of gross as well. One other pet peeve of mine is when bartenders or staff are eating while working. Our bartender took our order while chewing a big bite of food--not the biggest deal in the world, but as someone whos worked in restaurants, really just not a good look. For you old school gamers out there, be warned that you cash in for tokens here rather than bringing quarters. They do have a couple ATMs onside which is handy. I should note that this place is pretty enormous and 100% good for groups. There was a birthday party going on while we were there and they had plenty of room to spread out and do their thing. I dont think this place is kid-friendly because of the bar, but it looks like they have special events for families which I think is pretty cool. Parking in the neighborhood was easy peasy and there are tons of fun spots to check out a little further on York. Glad we discovered this spot!
