Via the Center theater a few years back I bought tickets to a couple of shows the customer service promises in Ada assistance was horrible the people working in the box office and inside the theater where the nicest way to say it unkind it did not return for an entire year season because of the special pricing this year even though I was off to a rough start through sales I managed to have a good experience with finally having the proper attention to needs when I attended I have purchased tickets for 8 shows this season between the taper the Ahmanson and the Douglas one good experience down 7 more to go hopefully the Stars will improve I look forward to that happening

Went to see the wonderful production of What the Constitution Means to Me last night. A simply staged, fun and poignant retelling of personal history in the context of key components of the Constitution and its key amendments, mainly the 1st, 9th and 14th. Lots of Supreme Court history and backstory on Justices and rulings. A great evening, ended with a debate and audience participation. I love the Taper as there are no bad seats. It was cold last night so for grabbing a bite before the event at the multiple, good food choices, there are few indoor choices and too few heaters outdoors. So bring a warm jacket. Traffic heading North, even during work time wasnt as bad as I feared. Southbound looked to be a nightmare.

The show was magical! The seating is one long oval-shaped aisle. Comfortable, but no aisles available to come and go if you have to be excused before show ends; Have to walk over too many feet. Parking was accessible; Exiting was confusing; Very cold inside, otherwise, enjoyable. Will attend shows there again.

It is always a life enriching experience to see a show at the Taper. Staff are helpful and friendly. Shows are meaningfully selected with the larger Los Angeles community in mind, and are usually stories that speak to a global community. Productions are skillfully put together, with innovative sets, passionate directors, and performers who have worked hard to add skill to talent. Seats are comfortable and only the seats at the side edges of the room can be considered any less than great. I highly recommend the Mark Taper Forum!

I love the Taper for theatre that pushes my mind. I do not always love the individual plays but I love that we have a theatre that will present smaller works rather than the big musicals and plays at the Ahmanson. Nice space. Really not a bad seat in the house. My only wish for the house is that I wish there was an inch or two more leg room between seats.

A bit funky and a mish mash of eras in the decor, but the Taper offers a great venue for live theater in LA. The worst seat in the house is still a decent seat. But tix early and you can see a show for less than $30. Come on! The seats are reasonably comfortable. The bathrooms are old but functioning. Concessions are minimal but they will give you a sippy cup so you can take your wine, beer, cocktail, or other drink into the theater which is always great.

Mark Taper is a wonderful theater, not so big that the cheap seats cant see or hear anything. I have gone to many plays there, and most of the time really liked them. I get season tickets for 3 or 4 plays.Plus I just discovered that Metrolink has a late train on Saturdays so now I can take the train into LA and the Metro to the theatre. Great deal, and the ticket people are nice, helpful, and polite.

Great place to see great theater, with up and close seating and a marvelous stage. Its signature round shape means some shows look slightly different, but that is more than made up for by how close you are to the action, even in the highest rows.If its your first time, just buy the cheapest tickets. And remember that the best lounge is downstairs, next to the bathrooms. The building has some drawbacks, like chain mail curtains, bathrooms too small when show is sold out, and a cramped lobby upstairs. Get over it.

Great acting, good scripts, and powerful theater. The staff have always been friendly and efficient. This is a prime place for watching contemporary theater. The ushers are efficient and understand their customers. I only wish they didnt always let in latecomers. It can get distracting for both the seated audience and performers. I have seen over 10 shows at the Mark Taper Forum and each one has had terrific merit. Good work! Well done! Bravo!

The plaza at the Music Center/ Taper is being remodeled & is a real pain to navigate right now. Its not well marked, sign - wise, about how to get from point A to point B or C, when you come upstairs from the underground parking. I ended up walking around an entire city block to get to our restaurant, which it turns out I didnt need to do. I go there regularly, & was pretty confused, so I imagine it is pretty confusing for someone new going there now. Otherwise, the Taper is a comfortable, well run theater with a wide variety of interesting plays.

The Mark Taper Forum mostly host plays. They generally put on new shows every 6-8 weeks of either new works from popular playwrights or revive an old piece that was very popular. A great way to get affordable ticket for the Mark Taper is through sites like Gold Star or take a chance with their rush tickets by showing up 2 hours prior to show time and paying $20 in cash for whatever seat is available. Based on how the theater is shaped there is no bad seat in the house.
