Tiny but well fitted theatres.

The event we held was great, but thats independent of the venue. The venue seems wonderfully adaptable

I performed here with over 3 productions and rehearsed and auditioned various times!Also There was an acting class I was fortunate to attend and a couple others I am hoping to check out!

A great theatre complex in Hollywood, especially during Hollywood Fringe. With two theatres downstairs and two upstairs that create an intimate theatrical experience. A nice lobby downstairs with information on shows, two unisex bathrooms, and a small mobile bar that show producers often use to provide refreshments. Tell proprietor, Monica, that Monique sent you!

Parking: EXPENSIVE. Make sure you validate and leave immediately! 3 hours free validated but GTFO after.Price: Reasonable, like a normal movie ticket.Pro tip: Sit in the middle seats.Its pretty futuristic in the sense that this theater offers a 270 degree view. The whole movie isnt shot in 270 degrees but some movies create extended scenes.Would I go back again? Maybe when the chairs get better. For now, its worth experiencing once.

The kind of place we are lucky to have in town. Many different performance and practice spaces make it a perfect place to test out new works or for actors to cut their teeth in the theater. An excellent place to see some more experimental works as well. Largest theaters are around 50 seats which is a great size for testing out shows to smaller productions. We are lucky to have it and we should be supporting it.

I love the complex because actors can be free to create art. Learn from others. Build and network with like minded actors. I am so thankful to step into a place that other talented Actors all started there career at.

I have been going to the Complex theater for about 15 years. I have used it as a rehearsal space, I have seen shows here, I have gone on auditions here. I have no idea who runs it, but I am very thankful for it. Must be a lot of work to keep it going. Please keep it up! :)

Included are: acting classes; theatre performance spaces; rooms available to become either a small makeshift theatre or a perfect small area for a read-thru of a script.Restrooms.The only ones I am aware of are found on the second floor, around the corner of the west end of the hall.Small notes: There is never any hot running water. Mens restroom door slams when let go. You may want to avoid making a noise my remembering to shut it slowly, or with your foot.

Run by a friendly and professional house team, this is a series of Amazing spaces that offer rehearsal space, filming locations and a major player in the Hollywood Fringe Festival.If you need a filming location, rehearsal space or a beautiful theatre to stage your play, table read or even a film screening. Then THIS is the Hollywood venue you need to call first.

I participated in an acting class. Stephen Snyder teaches here. Lots of good information in a short period of time.

Wonderful, intimate theatre. Host to a variety of eclectic and intriguing plays. Highly suggest this establishment!!

Oh my goodness!!! Can I just say I watched the play Shattered Glass at the Dorie theater. It was sooo awesome!!! The play was great!! The experience of an intimate play setting was great!!! On top that my first time there. They had it like a movie theater but, for plays. I tell you all something. I need to find time to go back to Santa Monica to look at some plays. I cannot believe how fun it was!!!!! Wonderful only because I love that kind of thing. Arts expression like it was truly amazing. They had music and acting of drama. I must say check this place out it is an experience!!!!

I was part of a play going on here, i am the sound operator for the show and man, i gotta say the way they run this place is great. The family at the complex is always around to help out with anything you need. And very professional as well. Thank you everyone that allowed a great success for a show. You guys are amazing. (:

Great flexible spaces for performers to work and create

The complex is a cool place to go for outing for play. Anyone thats starting out as a play writer that would be a perfect place to start, your play as well.

Loved it. Saw the VelvetJesus and ready to come back for more plays.. 5 stars. Just that good.

My friend and I went to see Knife To The Heart which is on a limited run between May 4-20 2018. The show was great. We met the cast afterwards. If you are looking to see some theater. This venue is great.

The various theater spaces at The Complex are pretty much exactly what you expect from an independent and alternative theater. The rooms are small and intimate, the stages are adequate for small shows, and the rental prices are very reasonable if you need audition, rehearsal, or meeting space, or even if you want to four-wall a show.Parking will be a minor annoyance both for your cast and crew and for audience as there does not appear to be a good answer beyond the usual hunt for curbside spaces (many of which are metered) within a reasonable walk.

First Time there was amazing experience and ton of fun.

Old little theatre, but its perfect for what it is. Great staff and comfortable seating. Parking could be difficult, but other than that its a solid place.

The first time I saw a show here, my seat broke under me and there were no staff on hand to help me. My friend, who wrote and directed the show, got me a seat in the aisle, but come on!
