The best Mexican restaurant in town! They have a very good atmosphere, and their decorations and buntings were very festive. It really feels like I was in Mexico. They have the best salsa I had and the pork and beef were very tender and flavorful. It was definitely our new favorite Mexican restaurant in the city!

Had fabulous margaritas here that were very strong but super cheap and massive during their happy hour evening. Also had the pulled beef burrito and prawn tacos which were very tasty. There were salsa lessons on and everyone was very friendly. The veggie quesadillas are good too.

Went here with my family and had a great dining experience. Live music and family atmosphere. The food was amazing!!! They bring you different types of homemade Mexican foods.

Solid 3.5. Never knew this place existed until recently popping up on a search. For a Sunday evening it was busy. The restaurant isnt huge so reservations are a good idea. It gets stuffy/hot in there as well.

Great food! Waitress accidentally charged us for 2 extra taco plates, but took it off our bill when we told her. However we were in a rush to catch a flight and this took another ten or so minutes than we hoped. Water refills were quick. The tables are super close together so it was unfortunate that I could hear the entirety of the next tables conversation. All in all, would come back though!

I order from here all the time. When I say all the time, I really mean it. There was definitely a phase--a problem phase--where I was getting at least a quesedilla a week. Could be as much to do with my laziness as their deliciousness, but I dont want to detract from the quality of the food.

Omg! My favourite sit down Mexican restaurant on the east side. I had ordered from Postmates once before and I needed to know where my food was coming from, I was pleasantly surprised. Took my mom recently and she loved it too. Perla is amazing!!! Love this place. Get the Carnitas plate.

Food is ok. cocktails are as good as any average place in LA. BUT Valet parking staff is terrible, they flat my tire and where intimidating. There are much better and safe places than this Mexican Village.

I went to the this place for lunch today. It is very clean with authentic Mexican decor. I had the Aztec enchiladas and my sister had the chicken flautas. Everything was fresh and delicious. Great service, definitely coming back to try the agua chiles and the micheladas.

So its Friday night at 9:30 and this place is LOUD. Much more of a bar atmosphere with music and djv playing Latin music.... so loud i can barely hear my boyfriend across the table from me.But....Friendly staff once we got past the bouncers at the door. The food was pretty freaking amazing. Seems hard to find good salsa in LA, but I loved the salsa here... chunky with onions and loaded with cilantro. Enchiladas and tacos were a little dry, but still delicious. Def recommend this place. But be warned its a very very live place. So if youre thinking a quiet simple dinner, you might prefer somewhere else.

I had been wanting to visit this place to do their karaoke for a while. When I went yesterday I had so much fun. The staff was kind and friendly and service was amazing. I had so much fun singing karaoke really badly. The drinks were so good that when I left I totally forgot my purse at the restaurant. When I called this morning to see if they found it the restaurant owner had it right there on hand. I went to the restaurant right away to retrieve my purse and everything was in it just like I left it ... I had a lot to drink and I was having a lot of fun. Im so happy that although I was irresponsible and forgetting my bag the Mexican Village was responsible and held it for me to come get it the next day. I absolutely recommend this place for a fun time.

The music is okay.. the food needs to be more Mexican. I ate it because I was paying for it but needs more taste to it ..its missing a bang

Stopped by with a buddy for a late dinner. I ordered the platanos maduros and chicken quesadilla and my friend ordered the plantain burrito with chicken. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly and they are open late (2am close). Highly recommended!

I was not hungry at all, but since I have wanted to check out The Mexican Village Restaurant in like... forever, we just kept walking towards it, laughing and talking our butts off because thats what we do.

I dont review places much but this restaurant deserves 10 stars. The food was soooooo good. The waiter was attentive and polite (and very sexy lol). At least 5 people that worked there made sure we had what we needed or bussed the table. We still didnt feel like it was bothersome or intrusive. It was only when drinks were low or a plate was empty. Again the food was amazing. This place has a loving, fun vibe.

Such a fantastic experience here. Came by after dinner for some drinks and the owner let us in, escorting us to the bar. Really good drinks and great music and dancing. Will definitely back to this hidden gem. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. Didnt have any food but it looked good!

Food and drinks were good, service couldve been a bit better. The DJ that shows up later was probably the mood killer for me and my friends. Music was way too loud to even have a conversation to the person right next to you without having to scream in their ear. Would come again, but would leave a lot earlier to avoid the DJ.

Food is blah. Prices too high for quality of food. They do have music and a dance floor which is better than food. And you can forget about the not so good food while you are dancing.

Service was horrible. Disorganized. Shrimp plate was a disaster. The shrimp was not cleaned properly it wasnt devained. That was my wifes order. My asada plate was brought without tortillas till five minutes later. These two plates cost me 50.00. Not worth it. Disappointed.

First time visiting as our friends found this gem of a restaurant. We got there a little before they opened and so kindly they let us come in to sit down and served us chips and salsa until the kitchen officially opened. The food was avarage as best. We had the steak chipotle, chicken with green mole and the chicken enchiladas. All the sauces for each plate were bland . Nothing on the dishes popped with flavor. Same could be said for the rice and beans. Overall, we were disappointed with our meals.

My family just had lunch we had a wonderful time. The service was outstanding we had the crunchy tacos with shredded beef. Our server I forget his name but he was awesome he made all of our kids feel really at home. He was playing with my son about eating avocados

My wife and go here on Thursdays for Kareoke night for the past 3 years. The bar reminds me of cheers where everyone knows your name. Bar tender Flavio is charismatic and prompt service is one of a kind. But the kareoke is not like it used to be. The DJ use most of the time singing themselves.

I adore this place. After finding this place via Grubhub a few months ago I refuse to go anywhere else for Mexican food. Besides the unbelievably delicious food, the people that work here are so so kind. Even the delivery man is awesome. Great for groups, great for takeout or delivery, great for eating! I live for their crunchy chicken taco combo. Dont skip out on their rice and beans! Somehow even their beans are painfully delicious.
