Excellent history of African American Firefighters. Thank you for hosting our Battalion 1 CERT meetings. Our members enjoy a marvelous venue as well as a chance to learn.
The African American Firefighter Museum is a hidden jewel. Attended a family holiday party here. The interior space is intimate. There is a small, however, adequate kitchen and bathroom available. Both were very clean and handicap accessible. A private parking lot is available and there is a small garden with well maintained roses! If you are not aware of the AAFMs location, Im sure you have driven pass this jewel a thousand times. What a historical location. Very nice.
It looked great. But there was no one to let us in . maybe because it was a Tuesday? But the posted hours said is should have been open today
It had a lot of information and the people there were really nice and helpful and it looked really nice
Something for everyone to see. Great information.

Our middle and high school and Angeles Workshop School goes on a field trip every week and loves visiting this museum. The docent Jimmy was fantastic and gave us a very real yet inspiring account of the struggles and triumphs of African American firefighters in LA over its history. They also host events in this historic fire station
I really did enjoy the trip
Fire Station 30:Staffed exclusively by blacks, thus becoming the city’s first all-black fire station.Declared February 15, 1985, Historic-Cultural Monument No. 289, by the City of Los Angeles, Cultural Heritage Commission, Cultural Affairs Department.
